I am a Door Dash delivery person, and I urge you to think twice before ordering from this establishment! The orders are NEVER ready on time (and I am not talking 5 to 10 minutes late) it's usually 45 to 60 minutes late. The staff ALWAYS has a poor excuse as to why orders are not ready. Today, the hottest said...Oh No. Our Door Dash machine somehow got turned off ( which was untrue because I saw the order on the screen when I arrived). She told me to go do other deliveries and then come back in an hour for this particular one. This place does not deserve your business! read more

The best thing on the menu is Ignore the Customer- it's free and there's plenty of it! All items are served cold- don't be afraid to ask your server for a little heat after digging in to a plate of cold spaghetti and meatballs, she'll smile and bring it right out- in 20-30 minutes! Solid 4 stars--even better than some of the other more popular (and more expensive) local Italian joints! I got the sampler and had eggplant and the recommended stuffed shells. It came with soup/salad and fresh rolls. Actual, homemade rolls that I could have inhaled by the basketful. The salad was basic, but the main dishes were VERY good! I had gone to Capri's all the time as a kid for pizza, but was fully impressed with their pasta dishes. The eggplant parm was crispy and flavorful and the shells were creamy and tasty. They DO have a beer/wine menu, which I had to ask about once I saw someone at another table order a beer, but overall the service was fantastic. And we all got dessert--definitely try the gob cake! If you find yourself in Westmont with a hankering for a decent meal, Capri is a pretty good call! I've eaten here and ordered take out from here a number of times, being that I work near by, and I've never been disappointed. Overall, they have a pretty decent menu. Salads, sandwiches, pastas, etc. Most of the options are your typical Italian/American cuisine. If you're in the mood for a salad, I can definitely recommend the grilled chicken spinach salad! It comes with grilled chicken, strawberries, peanuts (for crunch), all on a bed of spinach. Although I've never tried it, I've heard the burger and fries are rather tasty too. When I've dined in, Ive always been in and out in under an hour, which I've always appreciated! The staff has always been friendly and on top of things! Ordered delivery, waited an hour before calling to see where my order was, I was told it would be to me in 10 minutes. Another 30 minutes go by I call again, was told the same thing.30-40 minutes later a fellow employee brings me my food and says the driver was ranting saying he was given a "fake number and he doesn't have time to wait", so he leave my food outside I call to see what a manager would do and her response was "you were told 45 minutes or longer so... as if that justifies anything that happened.I'm sure the response I will get will be the same since the manager took no accountability for the situation. We ordered Linguine and clams for my mother in laws birthday on April 2nd. We have ordered from Capri many times in the past as well as eaten in the restaurant and had only had to call back once for them "forgetting" the clams on the linguine. Tonight our food arrived and the $14.99 order of linguine again had no clams. My fiance called the restaurant immediately only to have the worker insist she ordered it without clams. My fiance was upset and asked to speak to the owner who got on the phone and insisted that her husband took the order correctly and it was ordered without clams. When we placed the order I used my debit card and the person who took the order had to call back for the card number because he WROTE IT DOWN WRONG, as he obviously did with the order. The bad part? All the owner had to say was "you cussed at my husband, don't order from here again." My fiance never cussed at all. She did raise her voice AFTER being called a liar about the order. Spending $14.99 for a dish that did not come with a main companant on top of being called a liar and being hung up on would upset most people. Great job Capri owners. Very professional. read more

Very close to home family owned Italian restaurant. Kind of a go to for a quicker Italian meal when life's hustles and bustles are pulling you in every way!!!! The food is better than chain restaurants but has its pros and cons. Biggest pro. I LOVE THE MEATBALLS!!!!! Meaty mounds that are well bound with cheeses and juices. The house sauce is a great reservoir for these as it houses big tomato taste. Not sweetened but spiced just right for my palate. The BREAD. Homemade and freshly baked with such great flavor that i forgo the butter. Yeah i said it.....NO BUTTER REQUIRED!!!!!! Pizza is good although other joints close by have better. The cons. Most of the pasta dishes just ordinary. And the salads way overpriced and often skimp on all ingredients aside from lettuce. The restaurant was empty. The server took half hr to brought the menu. She was busy talking to her friends. Steak overcooked. Server never stop to check if the food was right. She claim I did not want to pay. I was never refuse to pay. She called me names, like crazy mexican. I spoke in the phone with the owner and she was not nice. She should check the camera before said anything. After 1 hr I got very bad stomach discomfort. I predict this restaurant will be close soon. I stopped by here last night at around 6 Pm for dinner with my wife and her parents. Whenever we arrived we noticed a number of people standing in the lobby and thought there was going to be a wait. Thankfully most of the people that we saw were waiting for takeout. After asking for a table for 4 we were told that we could seat ourselves and so we headed back into the restaurant and took a seat. The decor inside Capri doesn't consist of much. That's not to say that it's a bad thing as it seemed clean and open but there just was not much to mention. The only thing I really did notice was that the walls here felt like a loft apartment and did not go all the way up to the ceiling and so Capri had some flowers and other little trinkets on them. Whenever I originally headed into Capri I thought that I was going to get some pasta for dinner. However after reading a previous Yelp review that said it was the best pizza ever, I knew that I had to give it a try. So I ended up ordering a large cheese pizza for myself. Whenever it was delivered to the table our friendly server asked me if I wanted any garlic or oregano for it and I politely declined. As with all pizzas this one can be broken down into its three major components: sauce, cheese and crust. The sauce for this pizza wasn't anything special and after a couple of bites I began to regret declining the oregano and garlic. That's not to say that it was bad but it didn't really add much to the pizza and I was looking for something more. The crust of this pizza I thought was decent. It was a thinner crust and the middle of the piece flopped down whenever I picked it up by the crust. Last but not least was the cheese for the pizza. It has a good solid taste to it and one of my favorite things about it is that it actually stuck to the pizza and didn't fall off even when piping hot. The bottom line for me is that I may head here again in the future. The food was decent and I thought our server was both good and friendly. read more

I had a great cup of soup. I asked for the Ciabatta Roll to be toasted for the sandwich that I ordered. The waitress told me she would check if they would be able to toast it. It came back greasy, soft and warm. I was not able to enjoy this and reported that I would not be eating the sandwich. A manager named Anthony came out and offered to take off a % of the charge of the sandwich (that I didn't eat). i requested that he remove the full charge and he kept fighting me and telling me that he has been told he must follow a particular protocol. Being from out of town and having Capri recommended to me, did not fit my expectations for a great Italian restaurant. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. My party had a long wait time and poor service.There seemed to be a lot of young poorly trained staff that were not attentive to their tables. After the meals came out not a single person checked on us or refilled our drinks. I'm from the Pittsburgh area and there are many more restaurants in my area that have much better service, presentation and taste. I recently got married and used this area for a meeting with my bridal party and I was highly embarrassed by what we where served. When we go to a restaurant we want to go to a well presented area and not have to hear staff being yelled at or orders being yelled across the kitchen. No one in the restaurant cares what everyone is eating. Maybe mandatory training on customer service for servers and presentation for kitchen help would be a start in the right direction. Your sauce could use a little doctoring up as well. Do you order that in bulk from a different facility or do you make it home made? Maybe in the future you will get it right. read more
