The place has completely changed from when I went a few months back. They also have a ton of snacks including exotic stuff that you can't get at many other places. Pretty cool place to drop by for snacks before heading to the beach right across the street. They even have a little deli with pretty good sandwiches. This store has a very good selection of beer and even more impressive selection of hard liquor. Liquor prices are average but they do have specials now and then. I am rating them a four stars because of the great beer, wine and liquor selection. Prices are a little high but I guess that's the price for convenience. read more

If you see they are your liquor store on Drizly, run!!! They are a scam! They'll call to tell you they don't have a driver and that they will mark your order as delivered and send it out as soon as they have a delivery person. They never deliver and they're rude when you call to confront them. We called drizly and hopefully they won't be a vendor much longer. read more

If I was stumbling drunk around IB I hope I'd retain the presence of mind to avoid this place. The prices are inexcusably high and the service is awful. Go to BevMo or a supermarket instead. I drove an hour round trip after ordering a pickup of a pretty rare gin off their site, which has many issues and mostly does not work. When I got there I was told they haven't had that gin for a while and that they "had been calling me" to tell me. All I have is automated texts (so my number is correct on the site) confirming my order and payment. Now, a day after I submitted that order, the gin is still up on their site. Pure laziness. At least I got great Mexican food on the way in Chula Vista. read more

I am a frequent customer here and I will never be going here again. I came in to order a 12 pack of White Claws and I was charged $24 for a 12 pack that I could get at Walmart or Target for $15. This place is way overpriced. When I called to complain, the man on the phone could not give me a valid reason why it is $10 more at their store than at Walmart or Target. You guys just lost a frequent customer. I hope people realize what you are doing and your business shuts down soon. read more

We love to stay Oceanside with balconies on vacation and buy our booze from liquor stores. It allows us to watch the sunset over the ocean and get drunk without paying ridiculous hotel bar prices. IB Liquor was our booze go to during our stay in Imperial Beach. They had everything we could possibly need from mixers to a corkscrew. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful during each of our visits. Let's be honest - we visited a lot for everything from booze to just bottles of water. Ordered from Drizzly at 7 pm and over an hour later someone from the store contacted me and stated that their driver was running late. I understood and said it was okay. Then between contact through Drizzly and the store, and over 2 hours...our order still hadn't been delivered. The whole time in between, the "owner" (if that is even who he was) and Drizzly, kept telling me just a few minutes away. After 2 hours and 17 minutes, their driver arrived and left my alcohol with an under age nephew, never checked ID, and although I was charged for a handle (1.75) was given a 750 bottle. The "owner" then contacted me and said due to all the issues, he would personally deliver the correct order the next day. When I called the next day to confirm what time he would be coming by, I was told that I won't get my correct order because Drizzly refunded me, which they did not! Nice store with good selection and friendly staff. However I noticed when checking out that the bottle of wine I was purchasing registered as 15.99 vice the 12.99 sticker on the bottle. Cashier said they must've made a mistake and they wouldn't honor the sticker price. Management was standing there and kind of laughed it off. Every bottle of this particular wine was marked 12.99, it's not like I grabbed the one bottle that had a discounted sticker. $3 isn't going to break the bank, it's a matter of principle. They just opened a Boars Head deli at the liquor mart. I'm a huge Board Head deli fan, especially the one at Detroit airport. I stopped in for a roast beef sandwich. They let me try several sauces. I went for the peppercorn mayo. That sandwich was THE BOMB! I'm so happy to have this place two blocks away. Also there's a bonus. You get a nice salad with your sandwich!
