But when it comes to looking for certain items weather it be food, clothing or automotive..they just don't always have it. This location pretty much takes care of the majority of my shopping and photo print needs and as always, have better priced items. The grocery is small, so it's quick and easy to find what you want :) It's grocery prices are much less than Vons. Otherwise, the store generally has just the basics. I'm not satisfied to a customer service, they're systems sucks .I had unauthorized purchased same register where I did my returned.. kept telling me customer used his card for his stuff..I'm still inside the store they can watch the camera if I handed my card to somebody else..only 2 minutes difference..I also purchased at self checkout on the same day...ending the guy who watched the camera said they can't do a refund..they don't watch the camera what I did inside the store. This Walmart is convenient but let me tell you when it sure hit or miss for customer service. They often don't have enough checkout lines open for as busy as the star is. They're generally stocked on most items so that's a plus. But I do like is that they have hired Mary, a woman who's been around I.B. for many many years as a parking lot attendant. It is every SINGLE time i come to this Walmart location that one of the employees decided to follow my family for no reason. There's no reason you should have employees pretending to fix things that are clearly already fine and neat. There is absolutely no reason any of your employees should think doing this is okay. She also kept walking right in front of every single thing i was trying to shop for near the health and bathing isles. Look in the back. Everything is fine. She kept pretending to "fix" things while just tapping around on bottles. I will be reporting this employee. She is an embarrassment to the company making customers feel uncomfortable while being disrespectful and harassing us. I have a video of her staying in the same isle doing nothing but tapping on things and moving them back and forth right where they already were. Tell your employees to respect your customers space. Plus this lady was getting way too close to my children. Next time if she comes near my kids like that again i will call the police. Talk to your employees. Talk to your store. What has happened to the Walmart on Saturn? Who left that was getting this particular store together? I go in because i was looking for some work clothes and figured well I just walk around a bit see what I find on after the holiday deals..... I find 2 items with no price but have the UPC's, I walk from children's, electronics, back to children's, to the food section then through women's...UREKA I found an employee!! I ask the employee if he can scan the 2 items and he says "No I can't but you can download the app and scan it yourself", I told him I have the app but the items won't scan and the whole area on Palm Ave is iffy on reception, so can you scan it? He replies " no I don't have a scanner so you're just gunna have to use your phone like we do." I scan the items and they both said item not found. I said see I don't know if it's my phone or they're not in the system, he says "ya well IDK, you might have to go to a register and ask because I don't carry a scanner cause we use our phones so I'll probably get the same." Then just walks away!! This employee had a strange name something like Gume or close to was a tall heavy set man. I then asked a guy rushing by with a scanner but wearing regular clothing no vest and a badge but it was backwards so no name displayed. He did scan the 2 items but he seemed extremely annoyed I stopped him but he did get the pricing. I did see him walking around before & after our encounter and I think he portrays a unstoppable pace as to not help customers or get stopped by them. That's my opinion but ya! As for the 1st guy Gume or whatever his name is, I had found more items in the clearance aisle and since he was with 2 other employees just standing around laughing & talking I asked if either of them could give me a price on 3 items I found in the clearance section. Of course Gume didn't have a scanner but said No and the girl also said No and finally Martin busted out his Walmart Scanner and checked the prices for me! Walmart why don't your employees carry scanners/TC's? Are the employees cell phone bills being paid by Walmart that they need to use their personal devices to help customers? Sorry! I take that back because they don't even want to help customers with their cell phone they just tell us to download the app to check the price ourself or go to a register, which we all know there's only 2-3 open and busier than the floor staff who's impossible to find!!! The only helpful person in the store was the register lady and the lady who let me try on clothing... This hasn't been my 1st disappointing visit to The Saturn Ave Walmart especially knowing that this particular store IS THE SMALLEST STORE in San Diego!! the milk that I bought at this Walmart location was spoiled. I'm not sure how you can even leave spoiled milk on your shelves but this place has done it. I have two young babies and it was very uncomfortable having to give them spoiled milk. Once I realized the milk was spoiled of course I threw it out but the fact that Walmart was selling this spoiled milk is completely unacceptable. I went back to the store location to try to get a refund for the spoiled make and they would not provide me with a refund. I just feel violated honestly. It is a sad state for this Walmart that shelves are not stocked. I understand, that the order writers can order but deliveries can sometimes be late. This is true at a super Walmart I went to today after visiting this one. What I don't understand, is why some employees still wear their face mask under their noses, and management doesn't enforce their proper use. Why doesn't someone announce every so often to please wear your mask properly and maintain social distancing. Updating to my last post. Had to go back for 4 items. As soon as I started looking for a place to check-out, I got watched. I scanned two items, stopped, turned my body to watch the person who was watching me. She asked if I needed help. I said no. She kept watching me. My local Walmart has gone paranoid. Video monitors at check-out so you can watch a selfie video of yourself checking yourself out? Cameras above the registers? Monitors to show you yourself walking in? With all the cameras around the store, how many more monitors are being watched by how many more people in back? What is the purpose of the person who puts a hi-lighter mark on my receipt? I will never buy anything behind one of the locked cases. Seriously, y'all. When I buy my boxers, I do not need a guardian. I am a casual, middle-age white guy with a long beard and long hair who has been shopping there for almost 11 years. I don't think I'm being profiled. This store is going off the rails with paranoia. Couldn't get over all the negative responses for this Walmart. Sure, it's a small Walmart and has a little bit of a lot of things. I think that's the intent. Normally, I don't write reviews, but I did visit this Walmart today, and after some shopping around, I decided to use Affirm as the payment method, however, I was not quite sure how to proceed, During self checkout, there was a young lady who was trying her best to help a bit, but she had no luck. After calling her manager over to see if he could assist, he didn't bother to even try to help. Having played around with the app a little bit, I went to a different register to see if I could figure it out on my own, and an associate/ cashier by the name of ( Adrian Medrano) stepped in to help and he was so kind, patient, and helpful and helped me to complete my purchase, he made the whole process so easy for me. I left there with a smile on my face! he is a real asset for this company or any company he worked at! It would be great if all stores or businesses of any kind to have people like him as one of their employees! Again, I felt he was great! If only it is possible to put "0" stars. Tried to return car battery that I bought 2 months ago. I had my original receipt and the product. I did not need the battery anymore and the purchase was still under a 90 day refund policy. Went to the customer service center everything was fine and then the cashier checked if it is still a good battery. She tested it and it said it did not read to anything so it is a bad battery. According to Walmart policy, If it is a bad battery then I can get a refund or exchange the battery, but I was told to go to a different Walmart for my refund. I don't understand why I needed to go to a different Walmart. I live down the street from this Walmart and this is where I bought the item and I had the receipt. It will be inconvenience to go to another Walmart 7 miles away and I did not think it is right to be sent to a Walmart where I did not buy the item. A supervisor was called, she did not offer any help either, but she did call her "Boss". She called a Manager I think because he was wearing a black Polo accompanied by another lady that was wearing a black also. Their names are Gerardo and Alex I think. Gerardo is the one that made me experience the WORST customer service EVER. Gerardo started testing the battery and came up to me and said that the battery is not valid for refund anymore since I changed those stickers in the front of the battery. That did not sit well with me since the Manager Gerardo accused me of tampering with the battery. That is when I got upset and told him that how dare him accuse me of tampering with the battery. His response was "I am trying to help you, If you do not want to get helped then leave the store". I am like is he serious? He offered me to exchange the battery instead so I'm like ok, just to finish with this terrible experience. Who is going to help me? I asked him but he offered no help, told me to go to the automotive department with the battery. I asked for my receipt back but he was hesitant to give it back to me. I got the receipt, grabbed the battery and waited for a minute at the automotive section. I went around to see if anybody is working but then I saw Gerardo again, I thought he was going to exchange my battery but no. He kicked me out of the store, told me they will not help me anymore and go about my day. I said "are you serious?" He said yes so I went ahead and left the store, got kicked out like a criminal that stole from the store and while getting escorted out, got the stares from customers. I was put in a super embarrassing situation from a very unprofessional Manager Gerardo. Walmart please consider getting this "Manager" retrained. I wish that I will be the last person that will get treated like a criminal by this person. read more

On Saturday when I received the delay I waiting an hour or two. I receive the next confirmation that my "1 hour" photos were ready, I showed up. I get there after waiting 10 minutes in line to find out that it was ready and not finished printing because the employees forgot to reload their printer with photo paper! I leave and come back 2-3 hours later having to wait an extra 5 minutes while the staffed ignored me. I had to wait for the third employee to provide my photos and apologized that I had to come back a second time around! read more

Arrived around 8:00pm Needed a few things to get which most of it is accessible. However ,when I got to the cosmetic section most of there products are in a locked glass which was not normally an issue. Pressed the assistant button heard the intercom, "customer needed assistance in cosmetic " 15min later no assistance. Employees at two different times came by, I had asked if they have keys,"nope" so they said they'll call someone with keys. 30min went by saw another employee but no keys, at this point this was a waste of time and decided to go. Since cosmetic is highly utilized section with a decent amount of customer traffic, an employee should be near by with keys especially since it was decided to have the products behind locked glass. If you are looking to get a product that is likely to be behind glass, the terrible expectation of having to wait in excess of 30 mins is inexcusable. read more

A elderly customer was asking an associate (Zara or Zamora her name starts with a Z) in the beauty/shampoo section if she can help her get something that was locked up all the associate told her was " I don't have the key " nothing else . I saw that the elderly customer say " I need help "and saying she can't open it And once again the associate says " I don't have the key " I go and try to help the elderly customer by pushing the button saw / heard nothing happened when I did and the associate told me " just push it once " I told her " I'm trying to help her now since your not" and yeah she just acted like she was looking for something walking around the elderly customer like she don't see her standing there . So many associates around and no one walking towards her to help her , because they don't have the key ! . I asked the cashier and she just said " sorry about that sometimes people don't have customer services skills " but still not a " I'll go check on her " I'll call someone over " nothing . I a costumer shouldn't be doing your job because your lazy or don't care to help ! I wouldn't send my grandparents or elderly relatives here at all . With 60 years shopping experience of my 70 years of existence, I feel I can honestly say each time I shop at this Walmart, time after time, that this is the worst store ever! I live only a few blocks away but resolve to never go to this Walmart again. The management has got to be the worst, hiring employees who don't work and when finally found, act as though they're doing you a favor. The stock you would normally expect to be found for purchase (like a gallon 1% milk and others), are almost never in stock. It's almost as if this store gets the leftovers from other Walmart deliveries. After finding a couple of things I needed, all the self check-out registers were closed (have been this way for a while) and the lines at the working registers were forever. Once again I set my purchase Items down and left the store. Traffic and parking conditions bad! The one rating star I give ,is a negative one. Been here a few times. This place is small compared to other Walmarts I've been to. Not too much to choose from. This location is more of an express Walmart. There is plenty of parking in front of the store. Somehow this place always gets packed. It's right off the freeway going 5 south off of Palm Ave. I think it attracts people since it's the only one closest to the border. I only come here if I need something to pick up. I would rather go to the Walmart in Eastlake. More selection at the bigger Walmarts. read more

I have to agree that this is a pretty ghetto wal mart. You have to hang onto your receipt because they will look it over carefully on your way out. That's new for me. The Walmarts I went to before I moved out here never checked my receipts like that. But the people I have dealt with who work there have been nice enough. Nothing special but nothing bad either. Two years later: yes, it's still a ghetto Walmart. They check your receipts on the way out. Their selection is smaller than at some of the other Walmarts also. But I have never had a bad experience with the customer service there. All the people who work there are nice and that's what's most important to me. read more
