iBroken is an amazing repair shop and I would recommend this place to anyone who is in need of an iPhone repair. My experience there was spectacular! The employee who did the diagnostics for my phone was very impressionable and helpful. He knew what he was doing, and I felt very confident getting my iPhone repaired- I ended up learning so much from chatting with the employee. They also have an online booking system which makes appointments extremely convenient. The only "complaint" would be the higher than average prices, but you are paying for the quality of the service. I booked an appointment on October 22nd. It was inspected and I was told that it would take between two to four days (by October 25th) to get a replacement glass in for my Ipad. I had to put down a $50.00 deposit. To date, October 30th no response. If you try calling the location all you get is a long winded commercial on their services. I have conducted business with iBroken's repair centre located near Chinook Mall, Calgary since October 2016. My iPhone 5S, which was in an open face Otterbox, unexpectedly fell out of backpack hitting a jagged rock corner during hiking in the Kananaskis area in the Fall of '16. The Owner Russ was effective, pleasant, understanding, friendly & efficient replacing the cell screen which had completely shattered upon impact during the hike. I returned in May 2018 due to unexplained 'fine spider lines' stemming from the upper region of the screen while it was in the same Otter case, but this time inside a compartment within my handbag. Odd, perhaps the Otterbox is not as great as it's perceived to be! But I knew the best business to repair my cell would be iBroken. Michael replaced the screen, however the screen began 'blackening' within a couple of days & I contacted the shop with my concern. He is a good Technican, although it would be nice to see him smile more :) As a busy professional, I have limited time to resolve repeat issues, however Russ was at the location when I came in for a second check & a replacement. Happy to convey; no screen problems since the new screen replaced the replacement screen in June 2018! Thanks Kindly Russ! Best Cell Repair Business in Calgary. Thx Michael! Save yourself the money and hassle of bringing anything here to get repaired. I brought my iphone7 in to have the screen repaired. My screen was pretty cracked, but It was still fully functional. When you bring your phone in they run a few "tests" to see if it will be covered under there warranty. For one of the tests they place the phone on the counter to see if it's bent, when and if it moves a bit they tell you that it's because your phone is bent it won't be covered. What I didn't realize is that my phone tilted because of the camera lens. First scam. They then get you to sign a waiver saying if your Touch ID button doesn't work, it's not there fault, etc.. this is because they don't use Apple products to repair it, nor do they use water resistant sealant Second scam. When I went to pick up my phone, they went through a couple functions to make sure it's working. Off the start everything looked fine, however a few days later my screen wasn't really working on the right side of the screen. It also would randomly open apps and call people. When I called them back to tell them something was wrong, the first thing they said was "well it's not under warranty because your phone was bent, but it could be your motherboard. Bring it in for us to look at it". So they wanted me to bring it back in and pay more for parts for my motherboard, when in reality the problem was just there poor service to the screen. My screen wasn't 100% initially and then completely stopped working when I dropped it a few weeks later. Couldn't use the screen at all. At this point I was extremely annoyed, so I took it into Apple. They said they would replace the screen for $30 more ($205), but they actually use Apple parts and it's under warranty. They ran tests and everything was fine with my motherboard it was just a poor screen install. When I brought my phone back to Ibroken to discuss the defective install, the owner Russ was extremely rude. Telling me I should have just brought it back to them and he wasn't going to do anything for me. I also had bought an iPhone cord at IBroken and it had stopped working after 3 days. I also tried to return that for reimbursement. He said he wouldn't give me my money back but only replace it with a new one. For someone who is trying to run a business, you would think that he would have better customer service skills, be a little sympathetic and admit that they had done a poor job. Instead, I dealt with an extremely defensive owner who can't validate the quality of their own services or products. read more

when i smashed my phone against the ground I thought it was impossible to fix, then I went to ibroken and for $80 they completely fixed the screen. they insisted that I should invest in an expensive glass screen protector but I decided not to. for a while it was good as new, then the home button became much looser than ever before and at times screen functionality ceased all together. However, two weeks later I lightly dropped my phone and the screen had a huge dent and the phone stopped working all together. I now know why they so heavily suggested a screen protector. their replacement screens are cheap and easily broken. do not go to I broken if you want a quality fix. read more
