Well this is a follow up reivew from my trip to the Mobile Care shop in Chinook Mall on March 24, 2022. The third party battery they replaced for me is faulty under 9 months' time. so today on Xmas Eve I went back to ask for a new battery. To my surprise the tech does not even know how long their warranty period is. He needed me to show him where on their own website prints loud and clear the warranty information, and was in total shock when I showed him from their company's website under quote both battery and screen are 1 year warranty. Few moments of silence later he asked me for the phone because without diagnosing the battery he said, he could not decide if warranty is valid. I asked why this is necessary. He said: your battery could be damaged. I asked: how is this possible? He said: you could have dropped your phone and battery could be damaged. I asked: are you sure this is how to damage a battery? He said: well I will need to see your battery Needless to say I never returned. I do not want them to touch my phone ever again. Mobile Klinik on the second floor in the same mall however is another story. They not just tested my screen as well as my battery, they also tested the connection from the battery to the screen. They even checked the motherboard. The issue IS, no surprise, the battery. I paid for a certified apple battery with Mobile Klinik instead. I asked if they recognise the battery Mobile Care had replaced. The answer is they source from the same place for third party battery, however Mobile Klinik used premier grade and they don't recognise the one had faulted. There are so many mobile phone services out there nowadays, do your homework before giving your phone away to a tech. Make sure the tech is honest, certified and the repair procedure is transparent. First, I must say that this review is for Mobile Care in the Core Shopping Centre. I went in today with a cracked screen on my iPhone. The salesperson quoted me $80 for one replacement and $285 for another screen. I said I way interested in the $80 replacement, even though this is $30 more than I pay in Edmonton. They asked me to come back in a half hour. I left my phone and came back 45 minutes later. I don't think he had even started - my screen don't guy in Edmonton only takes 10 minutes maximum. He said he needed another half hour. So I stood there and waited as I was now late for a meeting. He finally came over, it was finished, it looked fine. He told me it was $195. I was shocked, I was quoted $80. He did no, it was my error, it was $180. I was furious. I told him to take the replacement screen off and put on my old cracked screen. Waited another 15 minutes as they ignored me and spoke to other customers. Anyhow, 90 minutes later I left. Cracked screen put back on. Bottom line - they are dishonest. I doubt many people would have the time or guts to tell them to remove the new screen. So I suggest you avoid them and avoid being ripped off. read more

I went there to have my battery replace since my battery was old, it's only 85% battery health. So I went to this store to replace it. I waited for 30 minutes to have them replace. After the fix right away, the face id wasn't working well so I complain to them, they had hard reset my phone, so that was fix. The next problem I notice was my phone doesn't show up the battery health anymore. They have said that when battery has been replaced it won't show anymore, so I guess it's ok since it wasn't so important and will not disrupt how I use the phone. Then after few minutes, I notice that my phone restarted that day, I just ignore it because anyways it only happens once. However today it got worse, to the point that I can't use my phone anymore properly. It keeps on restarting every 1 minute that I can't even finish my messages to be sent. Please avoid this store at any cost, go to other store otherwise, you will be wasting your money and time for this store. read more
