Her nail tech was over 30 minutes late to work, forcing her to reschedule. She gave them the benefit of the doubt and rebooked. Fast forward to the day of the new appointment: twelve hours after giving birth to our daughter, while still in the hospital, we received a call from the owner asking if my wife was still coming in. I answered, excitedly explaining she had just delivered. Instead of offering a warming understanding, or opportunity to reschedule given the big life event, the owner responded in a demeaning, narcissistic tone: "Well congrats, just wish you would have called to cancel." This level of insensitivity and unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially for a non-essential business. No pregnant woman, new mother, or family should be treated this way.
