I graduated from ACC's Medical Billing program in March, and through the school's Career Services Program I was able to get a job at an imaging clinic by the beginning of May. My instructors were very kind and great at teaching the curriculum and I'm very pleased with the knowledge I've left with. The only issue that keeps me from giving them 5 stars is the fact that their financial aid representatives are a nightmare to get into contact with. I used my GI Bill to go to school, and for some reason they just forgot to submit my enrollment to the VA for two whole months. I had to talk to three people just to get in contact with the department head and remind them to submit the paperwork so I could get my housing allowance for the month and pay my rent. 1/5 experience on that end. read more

This review is about Rose Quiroz the senior admissions advisor. 0 stars and I'm not even a student. Called to get information for one of the programs. Rose will talk to you like you are stupid and will talk down on you when asking questions about the program. You will feel rushed when speaking with her over the phone. Also, that constant beeping sound while on the call is terrible. If that's how it's starting at this school, I can't imagine enrolling and dealing with that type of staff. Also, you have to be calling literally insisting to sign up for the program, I just gave up. Even after passing the Wonderlic and meeting with financial aide, Rose told the the lady Alicia Alameda she was too busy and would follow up later. I currently am a student for the Dental Assisting program and I do not recommend going to this school for dental assisting school! There are plenty of other better schools such as UEI and other community colleges that actually care about students career and goals. The teachers and staff here barely even do there jobs and this course is $25,000 for the teachers to not even teach you barely assist you, and prefer to see you fail. If you're gonna pay a bunch of money for a school go somewhere else! They also require you to do a bunch of work just for them to not even teach you majority of the material. The higher ups and teacher are very condescending and rude towards students they don't favor . They barely answer any questions or guidance you have but are quick to call you to collect a payment. The pharmacy technician program at ACC is great and Mr. H as an instructor is a plus! He is approachable and genuinely supportive, consistently making himself available even after hours to help with assignments or clarification on anything. He made every student feel comfortable about asking questions. He has no problem explaining things more than once! He always maintained structure and made sure the class wouldn't get overwhelming. Thankfully the first teacher you will have (HOPEFULLY) will be Mrs. Hamm, she is one of the BEST teachers at this school. Yes, the Vocational Nursing Program is HARD. But as long as you can keep the faith in yourself and remember why you want to be a nurse you can prevail. The clinical sites are horrible. I say horrible because they only show you one side of nursing & that is nursing homes. They pick their favorite students to go to the hospitals or anywhere exciting to gain real life experience. Mrs. Reema is an amazing Clinical instructor. She is tough on you (in a good way) because she genuinely cares. She helped me so much with documentation! Thank you to Mrs. Le Fleur & Mrs. Hamm you are amazing instructors and even better people for the compassion and support you showed me while I was in this program. I walked in on 05/13/2026 at 12:44pm just to simply get information on the school. Whomever the security guard was, he was rude and short. I didn't know I needed an I.D to be on campus and to "sign in". He didn't provide any instruction and when I tried to speak to the one who appeared to be working front desk, she was rude. As someone who was interested in coming to this school, your staff is rude... and I'm not even a student, I was hoping to be one eventually, but I don't like being spoken to in the tone of voice or manner in which I was greeted. Please explain what type of reputable school would schedule a pinning ceremony for their students Cohort 61 then CANCEL!!! With no formal communication first. This disorganized school has left it up to instructors and staff to tell whoever they can that our pinning ceremony is cancelled. People have purchased plane tickets to support the graduating students!!! DESPICABLE ON TOP OF, VN dept allowing us to take our exit and finish. Then two weeks later tell us we are missing hours. This delays our NCLEX process. The new administration is no better than the previous one. To pay 40k and be treated like this is awful. read more

I would recommend ACC for their medical coding program, especially because of the instructors. They truly helped us succeed and became an amazing support system throughout the program. The instructors adapted to the different learning styles of every student to make sure we were always all on track and were able to understand the content of the coarse each term. I just finished the Registered Nursing program at American Career College, and I can honestly say it's been one of the hardest yet most rewarding experiences of my life. Nursing school isn't easy, there were definitely ups and downs, and not everything was perfect but overall, ACC gave me the foundation and support I needed to reach this point. It wasn't all butterflies and rainbows, but it also wasn't a horrible school. It's a place that will push you, challenge you, and ultimately shape you into a nurse if you're willing to put in the work. There are so many amazing instructors at ACC who truly care about their students' success. Professor Alex was one of the first teachers I had, and he's the reason I can honestly say I'm good at math now. Dr. P was not just a fantastic teacher, but also such a genuine person someone who really connected with students and made learning feel meaningful. Professor Torres deserves so much credit. Pharmacology is one of the toughest classes in nursing school, but her teaching style made it click for me. I actually excelled in pharm because of her, and that says a lot. Professor Weltzien--what can I say? He's the heart of the program for me. He didn't just teach for the exams; he taught us how to think like nurses. His lessons went beyond the classroom and prepared us for real-world nursing and for the big test ahead. He truly shaped my foundation and had one of the biggest impacts on my journey. And I can say truly shaped me into the nurse I am going to be and am today. The LVNS are lucky to have gotten him. Professors Calderon and Zahid also deserve huge recognition. Both of them are incredibly intelligent and passionate about nursing, but what stood out most to me was how much they wanted us to understand what we were learning not just memorize it. They push you in the best way possible because they see your potential. They explain things with such clarity and depth that it sticks with you. They've both played a huge part in my growth, especially when it came to applying critical thinking and real-world nursing judgment. I've learned so much from them things that go beyond the textbook and they've truly made me feel prepared to walk into the field with confidence. You can tell they care about producing strong, capable nurses. I'm so grateful for these teachers who poured everything into us. And when it comes to clinicals Professor Canto absolutely stands out. Please put this man in Term 8! He is by far the best clinical instructor I've ever had, both in my LVN and RN journey. He's hands-on, engaging, and truly dedicated to helping his students master clinical skills. The students would benefit so much from having him. Professor Rivera was also outstanding, and Professors Limpengco and Flores were amazing as well so patient, knowledgeable, and supportive and taught me so much in my beginning terms. Overall, ACC gave me an experience I'll never forget. It wasn't perfect, but it was real--and that's what nursing school is. The instructors I mentioned truly made it worth it and helped me grow not only as a student but as a future nurse. We haven't had our pinning ceremony yet, but seeing the cohorts before us has made me excited and proud to be part of it. I wish it could be a little more special like West Coast's, but honestly, we're lucky to have one at all. After fully completing the Medical Assistant program and being hired immediately after completing externship, I feel as though I can write this review fully knowledgeable about what I have to say. American Career College will bombard you with emails, calls, text messages, all just from viewing their website. They make you jump through hoops to view any sort of information regarding a specific program, and even then, you have to enter your contact info to learn more. All of their 5 star reviews are from student ambassadors who are given a task to leave a 5 star review in order to boost their Yelp ratings. They claim to care about their students, but they only care when they have your money and compliance. They are slow to answer questions, if they even bother answering you, but are incredibly quick in trying to collect payments. They will drag their feet in helping you once you are a student and they've received your money. I have received more texts and calls regarding my one final payment than I have received responses to questions I have asked their staff. As someone with a Bachelor's degree already, I felt as though the staff targeted me. The director for the Medical Assistant program is condescending, rude, and overall unhelpful. She would target me during dress code checks, asking about my all-leather shoes, meanwhile my classmates would be wearing canvas shoes, or multicolored, non-white, and non-leather shoes. She would nitpick me and send shady announcements afterwards. Student services also offers very little assistance. The one and only positive thing for me to gain from my experience at ACC was making a connection with my teacher, Ms. Clark. She is a bright and shining light, who genuinely cares about her students. ACC expects teachers to hold their students' hands. It is essentially college. You have to had graduated high school in order to attend here, so that makes you an adult. Teachers should not have to hold their students' hands in order to get them to do their work. Ms. Clark was wonderful and I will miss seeing her and having her guide me. She really put the medical assistant field into perspective, and gave anecdotes for the material we learned. If you do choose American Career College, advocate for yourself. The director is always available when needed, has an open-door policy, and really listens to students' concerns in a professional and supportive way. Each concern or problem I have had the director and instructors approach it in a timely manner and make sure your voice is heard and always follow up with you. The program also offers helpful resources for career opportunities, which has been a big plus. As I approach the end of this program, I can confidently say I am ready and prepared to enter the RT field from my experience at this school and from the clinical sites I was provided with.
