I highly recommend you reconsider going to this school. After finishing their LVN program, little did I know when continuing my education afterwards NONE of my credits would be transferred. I didn't know Stanbridge is not accredited by CCNE or ACEN, meaning you will essentially have to start from scratch if going for your RN or BSN. If you don't plan on doing more than an associates degree, only then is it a great option. I'm writing this in hopes it will save someone from wasting their time at this school. I'm writing this review to warn others about Stanbridge University and how they took advantage of my wife, both financially and academically. This school is marketed as one of the "best," but that couldn't be further from the truth. From the lack of professionalism to the complete disregard for students' time and money, Stanbridge has proven to be nothing short of a scam. My wife was scammed out of thousands of dollars in tuition, and when she submitted an appeal for a class she barely missed passing--by just 0.5 of a grade--they denied it without consideration. No real explanation, no empathy, just a cold "no." The appeal process is a joke. The people in charge clearly don't care about students or the money they're investing into this program. Appeals aren't taken seriously at all, and there's no transparency in how decisions are made. The office staff? Absolutely no help. Every time she reached out for assistance, it was either a vague response or being passed around from one unhelpful person to the next. The professors are no better--some of them literally hand out test answers and then still find ways to penalize students unfairly. They even dock students on attendance after telling them they could leave. How is that even remotely fair? The financial aid office is another nightmare. They're quick to take your money but completely useless when you need actual help. My wife was given instructions on how to get assistance, but the help offered was generic, dismissive, and ultimately pointless. Stanbridge University paints itself as a top-tier institution, but behind that façade is a money-hungry operation with little to no regard for student success or well-being. My experience at Stanbridge Riverside has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. During clinicals, I had multiple instructors who showed up late or seemed completely unprepared. Instead of being guided and taught, students are often left standing around with no structure or support. This is supposed to be the most important part of nursing school, yet it feels like wasted time. The same problems exist in theory. Some instructors don't seem confident in the material they're teaching, which makes it difficult to trust what you're learning. As a student, that's concerning when your future career depends on this knowledge. What's even more frustrating is the administration. It feels like their main priority is keeping their pass rates high rather than actually helping students succeed. Concerns are brushed off, and there's no real effort to support different learning styles or improve the experience. The clinical setting itself is also very limited and not in a real hospital environment, which puts students at a disadvantage when transitioning into actual nursing roles. Overall, I felt unsupported, unheard, and underprepared. I would strongly recommend looking into other programs before committing On top of everything, the way tuition and financial aid are handled is extremely frustrating. When you apply through FAFSA, the school takes the full amount of your financial aid first and applies it directly to tuition and fees before you ever see any of it. Instead of feeling like support, it feels like the school is quick to collect every dollar available without being transparent about where your money is actually going. I just graduated Cum Laude in the first LVN Program at the Riverside campus and it was worth all the sacrifices. Nursing school is not easy, I didn't expect to go into it without a full commitment or the mental preparation that it will be hard. I basically let go of any idea of a social life, had to significantly cut down on my expenses, and it was still a struggle. I worked with Lesley as my admissions/Recruiting Rep and enrollment was an a smooth process for me, she provided me with all the information I needed including the hours I would have to dedicate and set aside for classes so I knew full well what I was getting into. The Director of the non core classes was on campus very helpful to me when I had questions. The Anatomy and Physiology instructor Mr. Ali was the best! I mean just the most wonderful instructor to lay the groundwork needed for core classes. He made the course work fun. The instructors gave us the tools and resources and it was our job to utilize them. We had to put in the work and time consistently and I tried to fight every urge to procrastinate and put it aside. I failed sometimes time I didnt and passed the times that I did. Our the director Ms. Rayna was an awesome resource, always available, always looking for ways to help us learn, grasp the information and be prepared to practice safely after graduation. She was incredibly supportive and that's pretty rare compared to other schools I have attended. The instructor were the best, our campus was so lucky, I'm not sure if they are still around but Dr. Mahdi was our fundamentals, pharmacology and mental health instructor and I have always said every nursing student needs Dr. Mahdi to shape them into responsible nurses. She had a very hard expectations just as families for those we serve will have high expectations. Her way instructions helped me seriously grasp the concepts early on that were on the NCLEX exam. Kristin taught us Maternal, Peds and Leadership, she really carried us through. She is so inspirational in how much she loves her job and her patients. She drilled into us the importance in our role as educators. She is the reason I decided I wanted to work in women's health. She is honestly the greatest. Ms. Amie, Ms. kim, Dr. Joseph, Rochelle were also great instructors, inspirational in how they showed us the different fields of nursing are available to us. Available as support in and out of the classroom and just the best mentors to have guiding us. Ms. kim I would say probably made the biggest impact in my nursing trainings in terms of how she taught me to learn the concepts, write my notes, memory recall, and pass medsurg. It wasn't perfect, there were some very bumpy roads but looking back I would definitely choose Stanbridge again. Just had the greatest people to introduce me to the nursing profession in the safest way possible. Thanks to that I passed my Exit, NCLEX and got my license all in one month. I never thought I'd be writing this, but future nursing students deserve the truth. Stanbridge University is one of the most disorganized, dishonest, and unprofessional institutions I've ever encountered. I'm currently enrolled in their BSN program, and I'm urging anyone considering this school: do not make the mistake we did. Let's start with the basics: * We were not given an instructor until week 5 of a 10-week course. Half the quarter gone, and we were left completely unsupported. * Over half of our cohort of 40 students failed. That's not a student issue--it's a program failure. * They ignore your emails, refuse to clarify grades, and hide behind robotic responses. Real questions never get real answers. * Office staff members do not have the proper credentials, and when students ask for verification, the response is: "We will no longer be communicating with you." Completely unprofessional and alarming. They claim to support students with accommodations--but it's all for show. A friend of mine who had just given birth and still had stitches was forced to return to campus a week postpartum under threat of dismissal, despite a pregnancy contract in place. When asked why the contract wasn't honored, we were told it goes against their attendance policy. Then why even have a pregnancy policy? It's dangerous, deceptive, and shows a total disregard for student health. And the people in charge? Dr. Harrity, the BSN program director, has been overheard by multiple students calling us 'stupid.' No apology. No accountability. This is who they allow to lead. They dismiss valid academic questions with vague, deflective emails, offering no real support. They've withheld critical information about accreditation. Stanbridge was recently rejected by WASC--a major regional accreditor--and students were never told. We had to discover this ourselves. They only have one accreditation, and are currently under review. That means your degree could be worthless if it's lost--and they are not being transparent. Multiple students have reported Stanbridge to the BPPE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education) due to these issues. And it's not just one student with a bad experience--it's dozens. Entire cohorts are confused, overwhelmed, unsupported, and traumatized by how little this school cares. Stanbridge markets itself as a premium nursing program--but behind the glossy brochures and Instagram posts, it's falling apart. The administration is dishonest, the communication is non-existent, and student well-being is consistently ignored. You are not getting what you paid for. You're not getting what was promised. You are being lied to, manipulated, and used for tuition dollars. This is not just a bad school--it's a risk to your future. Do your research. Ask current students. I had a really tough experience with Riverside recruiting. I was all set to begin the October 7, 2025 session, but things took a turn when it came to the financial aid process. Despite doing well on their entrance exam and passing all the background checks, I was left feeling unimportant and disregarded. The financial aid part was particularly challenging. I was initially told I had a balance of over $5000 and was pressured to figure out how to pay for it, even though the balance would change once I submitted my new FAFSA for the year. After a lot of hassle, I was eventually approved for the Stanbridge loan without a cosigner. However, due to my financial situation, I decided to switch to the March 2025 session instead. This decision was met with resistance, and I was told I couldn't proceed without going through the financial aid process again, which had already been a headache. When I tried to prepare for the next session, the situation got even more complicated. The balance suddenly increased, and I had to request approval again for the loan without a cosigner. I reached out to the financial aid department, but things only seemed to get worse. It's been two weeks since then, and I haven't received any communication. No one is answering my calls or emails. I'm really disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of consideration for individuals' financial situations at what is supposed to be a professional university. Alfred Rubalcaba's attitude was very unpleasant when I wanted to switch to a new session. It felt like dealing with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. On the other hand, while Jose Calderon was pleasant, he didn't seem to be very effective as a financial aid advisor. read more

Wow, I'm a little shocked about all the negative reviews. I've been enrolled for an about a year now, & will start my core classes in January. My experience has been great here! My admissions advisor, Manny, made the enrollment process smooth and easy. And my SSO officer, Beth, is nothing short of AMAZING. She's very helpful & checks in all the time with the students. She responds to every email and does whatever she can to make sure our questions are answered. The school has many resources I have yet to take advantage of, but they are there. I needed a dismissal for jury duty and they got it to me right away. Look, school is hard. You have to put in the effort, you're there to learn. They are teaching us how to be NURSES. People's lives are in our hands. Obviously attendance is important because this is an accelerated program and being late to class? of course you're gonna get reprimanded-are you able to show up to work late? No. Like come on, this is common sense. I can't speak for core classes yet, but as far as the GE courses, they've been perfectly fine. There's plenty to help you learn and the instructors have been wonderful. If you are serious about your education and can mentally prepare yourself for the workload, then you will be fine. Stanbridge university is expensive, and let me explain why- they have a lot of new technology that is actually pretty amazing, including recently new campuses, and it is an accelerated program. I'd say it's well worth the money if you want a fast degree. As far as technology goes, homework, quizzes and exams are on digital online platforms platforms. I'd recommend a fast computer or tablet for best experience with this. I would say most of the staff is kind and helpful- however I've run into a few not so awesome experiences. Student resources has some awesome resources and the ability to really help students, but I have yet to meet anyone who has taken advantage of them (however I'm still very new to the program) Classmates are all very friendly- I do feel that this is due to the interview aspect foot admission as well as the general caring capacity of those who want to be nurses/ in health care. What I think is lacking: General Ed labs- SUCK. Coming from a large university where I have previously taken these exact labs, shows perspective on how small the resources of a small school are. I went from adding plasmids to bacterial cells, making ibuprofen from literal scratch, and mixing chemicals/ heating them with fire to not being allowed to pour distilled water. I'm 100% attributing this to a lack of lab abilities because it's a small school with a minimal budget even though tuition is so high. Something to take into consideration is that this is will not be a "college" experience. I feel like Stanbridge is great for second time/degree students who want to fast track into a different career path. read more

Applying here was way easier than I thought. They help you as soon as you let them know that you are interested. They invite you to attend something like an introduction seminar, send you list of requirements, and even send you study tools for the entrance exam. Before applying I had no clue how school works in the US cause I am from the Philippines and I got my first Bachelor's degree there. The student and financial advisors explained everything that I needed to know, in a way that is easy for me to understand. One thing I did not like was I was not offered an actual tour but that when they found out they apologized and scheduled me one immediately. The tour was so much fun, I can't believe the many high technology study tools they offer, the place is also clean and quiet. I am so excited to start. Also, the first person who handled my paperworks did not really pay that much attention on the classes i had before BUT Manny Rocha, who is helping me with everything now, made sure that everything is checked and I am glad he did because I got one class credited at least. Just a suggestion, I think they would need more people in the office because sometimes they take a while to respond which I totally understand because I know there are so many people trying to apply and asking for help and guidance. I cannot express enough just how smooth the admission process is. First off, ATTEND THE INFORMATIONAL SESSION!!! I can guarantee you that most of your questions will be answered there as Michael does a great job of breaking everything down. The level of transparency and straight shooting when it came to choosing Stanbridge (or not) was such a breath of fresh air. You are encourage to take WHATEVER path is best for you to get to the goal: becoming a RN. After the informational session, I was able to work with Manuel to schedule my first Accuplacer that Monday, Critical Thinking test AND first interview on Wednesday, financial aid meeting Friday and my second interview that following Tuesday...at which point I was informed SAME DAY that I was accepted!! Honestly, the process is as quick as you want it to be. You'll learn in the informational session that most applicants find out within 2 weeks, which is incredible compared to other institutions (trust me). If you're looking for an accelerated program that takes your time seriously while providing the support (not pressure) that you need to endure the process, check out Stanbridge. I am Currently a student at Stanbridge University's Riverside campus. I created a profile online on Stanbridges website to get more information on how the program would be. First lets get into the admissions process from when I created my online account. Probably 1-2 days I received a call from Manuel Rocha. He was quick to help me out and inform me of what Stanbridge is and what they offer to help us expand our education in the medical field. After a couple of phone calls with Manny, he sent me a ticket to the info session and I was hooked. The Admissions process was very easy as Manny would check in with me once a week to get me started into the program. He would answer any questions I had and was eager to get me into the program. The admissions process is very simple as you had to attend an info session, setup a TEAS test or their Accuplacer Test. Once passed you then had to take their ATI critical thinking exam which would allow you to move on get an interview with either Michael Mirabella or Gregory Low. If you passed the first interview, then they would schedule you for your final interview and from there is your journey for your career. Make sure after everything is done you have a High School Diploma, Transcripts for High School and College. Financial Aid was very simple with the help of Teresa Quiroga. She explains everything very smoothly, especially when it comes to questions that you have about the payments. She was very quick to answer any questions on my email and had everything done faster then she said it would of taken. Finally everything that I have done so far from Orientation Start of our class has been fun and encouraging. They push you to be the best that you can be and really care for our success in the class as you be able to tell in the orientation. They have you set goals that really change your game when it comes to studying which has helped me 100%. At first, I was nervous and hesitant on myself, but after attending an informative zoom meeting with the director, Michael I left feeling confident. Michael was very welcoming to everyone and answered all of our questions. If any of us were hesitant on applying he for sure gave us that push that we needed. Outside: Plenty of parking, easily accessible from major freeways. Not affiliated with the UC campus nearby but in close proximity to all of the amenities on Blaine (Starbucks, Bakers, Stater Brothers) University Avenue and U Village. The People: I attended virtual open house with Mr. Michael Mirabella where he outlined the program, shared information about the three campus locations and provided a lot of information. My next contact with Admissions Representative Manuel Rocha at the Riverside campus was very informative and productive. Manny scheduled me for the assessment exams and got me connected with the financial aid department from the start so there would be no delays. Shout out to Ms. Teresa Quiroga for navigating the financial aid options with clarity and ease. When I went to campus for the exam I met the best of the best: Ms. Simone at the front desk, courteous and friendly and very helpful; Manny greeted me and made sure I felt comfortable taking the exam and asked me if I had any questions; Mr. Greg Lowe, the Director of Admissions and operations at Riverside Campus and he was very friendly and encouraged me to apply to the program. Everyone I met has been professional and amazing, they are committed to student success and take a very personal interest in helping students succeed. The enrollment process at Stanbridge for me was not very good. No one would respond to me unless I kept emailing or following up, staff got fired or quit and just left me with no help until I followed up. Every person I would talk to in the different departments would all give me different answers. They did not seem like they were on the same page and honestly it started to seem messy and unorganized. The restrooms at the Riverside campus are gross, always out of toilet paper, trash everywhere, urine on the floor...and all of the students I talked to about this issue in person agreed with me. For how much money we pay I would expect a cleaner more sanitary place to use the bathroom. However, the professors have been great so far and that is why I gave 4 stars because the classes so far for me have been really good. I will recommend this school to others, just hope they can fix those couple of minor things. read more

This school makes the process pretty easy plus Dina harasses you to the point where it becomes pretty weird, in the end I understand her but I would not recommend them. I was in the process to enroll, on my very last financial aid meeting the financial aid person informs me that my financial aid had increased and fafsa was giving me an extra $5,000, that was great news, my monthly payments decreased But AFTER I signed all the paperwork with the new numbers the financial aid person calls me back MINUTES later, he said that we had to to go through the process again and that he'd be mailing me other forms to sign with the new numbers BECAUSE THE SCHOOL'S TUITION HAD INCREASED THAT SAME AFTERNOON! They were trying to take the extra 5k fafsa gave me by increasing the tuition 5k. At 1:20pm I sent him the signed form that reflected the extra 5k given tand at 2:05pm he emailed me back apologizing for the change and the forms with the 5k tuition increase. Needless to say, at that point I didn't feel comfortable doing business with these people. Their fees are non refundable so besides wasting my time I also wasted money. read more
