I've been a customer at icare the Nail Bar in Mount Juliet for about two years and have generally had good experiences, which is why this situation was disappointing. This past Sunday I had my nails done by someone I had never used before. Unfortunately, I was not happy with the quality of his work. I called the salon afterward and spoke with the front desk to explain the issue. I asked if the nail technician I normally prefer could redo them since he usually does a great job (Tony) The front desk told me to come in the next morning at 9:00 AM and that he would be able to fix them. I had to move some things around at work to come at 9am. When I arrived at 9:00, the technician I specifically requested refused to redo my nails and told me to go back to the person who originally did them. If I felt like he did a good job, I wouldn't have needed to come back, which is why I specifically requested. Someone I knew would do a good job to fix them. This only makes sense to me. What made this more frustrating is that when he refused to do them because he said he had a customer coming in he didn't even try to see if I could come at another time. He just refused to do them. If Tony wasn't available, I would have gladly waited or come back at another time. I never asked for them to be done immediately--I only requested the technician I trust to fix them. They could have easily said, "He has another client, can you wait or come back later?" Instead, I was told to come at a specific time and then refused service once I arrived. As a loyal customer of two years and good tipper I expected better customer service and at least an effort to stand behind the work being done. Situations like this should be handled with more professionalism and consideration for long-time clients. Instead I'm disappointed and taking my money elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately, it's been about a year since I've been here, and when I went back, it was because it was close, and my new normal nail tech wasn't available where I go now. The vibe is different, and when I asked if there were new owners, no one really said anything. Later, the girl doing my nails mentioned the new owners, but either way, something is different; it's not as good as it used to be. Everyone was nice and accommodating, but even my nails didn't last two weeks. I had two nails come off in the two weeks. With my new nail tech, I can go almost a full month before needing a fill. Its a shame, but at least I know now :/ My services were fine, and everyone was nice, but longevity-wise, I feel like the quality isn't the same anymore read more

Been a loyal customer for close to 2 years. Everyone knows this place has gone to crap since BB took ownership. Months back she increased her prices to justify not having people complain about add ons. For example a fill is to fill in your growth and get your nails back to where they were 2-3 weeks prior. Well apparently refiling your nails which is customary with this service was considered an add on. So prices increased. Since then I accepted the $70 with tip price for my nails. Fast forward to today. I had Tim (whom did phenomenal work) but my bill went up $5. When I questioned this I got the BB eyeroll (IYKYK) She asked for my # to pull up my account. I went and gave Tim his tip then saw she was dealing with a walk in. So i left. She proceeded to follow me out (Im walking to my car in the rain) She yelled "Miss I have it pulled up you been paying"! Lol i shook my head and said "great I won't be returning!! Irritated I got in my car to leave. Then my phone dinged Yes this "business owner" proceeded to text me to apparently prove her point. But she was WRONG!! The only time I was charged was when I changed from square to almond back on 3/29. No charge for April or Mays visits just the time I changed shape. An hour later she responded AGAIN!!! WTH is wrong with lady? I had planned to leave when Tommy quit. However, Tommy encouraged me to give his former employees a chance. He reminded me it wasn't fair to them. So I stayed and went to Amy who is amazing. Today I had Tim and his work is meticulous. But I will not be nickled and dimed over BS especially considering how loyal I have been as a customer. It is a slap in the face and I will no longer be giving this salon $150/month. read more

This was my first time going in after the new management had taken place. I went into a soak off removal. The new owner was working the front desk, (I had seen her before so I was aware it was Bibi) she hurriedly and sat me at the desk at the front with Tommy. Then a few minutes later come back and motions for me to go with someone else. While sitting there, almost halfway through, she came over and said something to him about timing. Then comes back and tells the guy working on me "you go do a pedicure, someone else finish her". He tried to tell her he was almost done. Which I appreciate because i didn't war to be tossed around like my service wasn't important. She walked to the back of the salon, back to the front and then back to our table. Asked for an update, he pulls my hands out and showed her, then she says okay and walks away. My nail tech was doing fine until she came over the first time. He started to rush and turned up the speed of his drill. I could tell the entire vibe shifted. He was rushing and it was very obvious. After a few moments, he said I was done and I checked out. The state that my nails are in is horrendous. He drilled my nails down SOOO much that using hot water is painful. I'd never had a bad experience here until now. Michelle was amazing when she ran it, she made everyone feel welcome and checked in to make sure ALL guests were happy. I will NEVER go back here. I thought "it's just a removal, how bad can it get." I was so wronged. I've never felt so uncomfortable and rushed in my life. My nails are so weak I couldn't peel a sticker the next day. I wish I could zero stars!! I'm so disappointed. Now who knows how long is it will take for my names to recover. I was supposed to get a fresh set this weekend but from the state my nails are in, they won't be able to handle anything!! The first time my nails were so thick and chunky they looked like little balls on my nails (it was the owner, I think his name was Tommy) The second time I got a fill in and they were great! 10/10. (Don't remember his name unfortunately). Took some time off of getting my nails done and came back to get gel polish on my natural nails a few days ago. Turned out good day-of BUT the way she cut my cuticles (don't know her name, she wasn't wearing a name tag like the others) was so aggressive!! It wasn't even cutting the cuticles, it was plucking. Made me bleed and pulled the pieces out instead of trimming them. Days later now my cuticles are peeling in a way they have NEVER done for me before. Not going back at this point. Came as a walk-in for my first time. We were greeted promptly and led to an area just passed the entryway, to wait, decide our service, and decide our color. After a short wait, we were taken to the pedicure area. The chairs were glamorous, so cozy and relaxing. The two gals helping us (I know their names but would rather not use them for this review) came quickly and started our pedicures. While they weren't "bad", a couple things I didn't like: the spot of the chair were you place your feet does not move, so I had to hold my foot up while she applied he softening gel and while scraping my feet. Because of this, her tapping of my feet to move into the water, back out, on into the platform, seemed a little aggressive and my food was slammed once on the surface. It just wasn't the move caring process. Second, my toenails were very obviously more square because of recurrent ingrown issues and multiple surgeries.... She cut the corners off and they are pretty short and extra narrow. When my pedicure was finished, she left me without a word, and when we began to leave, I had to put my sandals on myself (which as never been the case at any other place I have been to) The last thing I didn't love, is more of a personal issue hit I'll share for anyone with sound/sensory issues. Nail clipping is one of my biggest trigger sounds, which I generally prepare myself for in advance of getting my nails done. BUT, the area where you wait is in the center of everything and whole we were waiting, about four people were getting their nails cut and I had to whip out my white noise to stay calm. This isn't a deterrent for most people, but wanted to mention so others can be prepared if needed. Would I come back? Maybe. Should others give it a try? I think so! read more

I have been a loyal customer at iCare for two years and have never had an experience like I did today. My previous tech left and I decided to try someone knew and unfortunately was placed with Alex. He rushed through my appointment, was very rough, and paid zero attention to detail. My nails are chunky and uneven in shape and length across both hands. He was moving so quickly he scraped the color off a few nails and would not of fixed it if I hadn't asked him to do so. I had him correct the length on three different nails and they are still uneven. He also cut my pinky nail. I'm extremely dissatisfied. read more

I was so thrilled to see this place after a recent visit to the area. The place looked nice and had lots of business. I called the next day and they were able to schedule me for a gel mani and pedi the same day. I was instantly taken back to the nail bar area upon arrival. It was a bit rushed with asking what type of pedicure I wanted but I picked something quick. They do move people in and out efficiently. Another person came and offered me a drink but she never brought it to me. The gentleman doing the mani and pedi did a great job until he went to file the nails at the end and cut me three times. Then I was super disappointed when one of my toes was completely missing the gel polish after just five days. This won't be my new nail home, but based on the other reviews, this isn't the normal outcome. read more

They also explain before you sit down, all the different pedi options. Ask if you want a beverage. Once you pick which one you want and you have made your color options, you're escorted to the chair. When I arrived I was greeted warmly by Michelle. I was offered a beverage and seated to look at polish selections. This was my first visit and was impressed by the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere . Years ago I had a salon that did "Cats Eye" type polish that gives a "Cats Eye Stone" appearance with a small magnet wand. I asked if they had this type of polish and to my delight, they did! Michelle asked if I was comfortable with a male nail technician . I never was asked this before. Alex was my technician and was very nice and showed me all the buttons on the massage chair. I had the "Orange" pedicure with fresh oranges rubbed on my leg and hot towel wrap. I asked for the warm wax , too. I liked that they sterilize the metal items and use new sponges on every client. I would like it if the cardboard file was "one per client" as I get tiny cuts when they shape the nail after the tips and dipping powder. I usually like a square tip, not too long but chose almond and longer. Alex did a beautiful job! I was happy except for two very small cuts from the emery board at the top of two nails. This happens with vigorous filing. Next time I would ask the technician to be a bit more gentle, but Alex is very good and I would ask for him again . I will ask where I can buy the emery board they use and bring my own. I had a manicure, pedicure, with tips, special polish and hot wax treatment and it was about $150. But I felt it was worth the cost. read more

I was in a hurry and thought I'd check out this nail salon for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality service, and the atmosphere. Someone greeted me at the door and took me to pick out my color. She then explained the various pedicure levels. She was very polite, professional and attentive. Once it was time for my pedicure, I was greeted again by the nail tech doing my pedicure. She did a great job on my gel pedicure and I am very picky. My only complaint is that she was just a little rough. If she was more careful, I would have given a 5 star rating. I'll be coming back and I definitely recommend this place read more

Loved the scrub with orange and did a beautiful job polishing my toes. I don't live here but hopefully we will be back and TN and i would definitely go back here. Wonderful experience. Spa vibe. They were quick and had me in and out in an hour. I got pink and white ombre (dip). It was my first time with iCare and was blown away by the customer experience. You are first seated at a bar in order to pick out which color you'd like and pretty soon I was seated with my nail tech to begin service. I appreciate that the receptionist gives you an approximate quote of what the service may cost and how transparent they are with the pricing on their website. Went for the first time yesterday. Made an appointment so I would get seen. I felt rushed yet unseen since the sat me at the bar and didn't tell me what to do until 10 minutes later asked if I picked a color. When I finally saw the tech, I said I would like my acrylics removed but to keep the length of my nails. She asked if I wanted to soak or could she tear them off? I asked which was quicker- the tear off, that's what the one I choose. I didn't realized she would tear my length off with the acrylics. She was not friendly and didn't say 1 word to me. I tried to be friendly and engage in conversation but all efforts were futile. She tore the nails cut all my length, did a bad job painting my nails and I was charged $50.
