I like to take my class C motorhome here to refill propane. Staff is always friendly and it's easy to pull up to the tank.

So glad to learn of this place. Someone found it online and told me about it because my electricity had been out from a bad storm and I am new to the area. I was able to purchase dry ice at what seemed like a reasonable price. I've never purchased dry ice before so I don't have an actual price comparison point. The pace is easy to miss when driving. You have to turn in like you are going to the car wash and the ice house sits in the back of the area to the right. One of their nice employees saw me looking lost on the lot next door to the place and he walked over and told me how to get to the ice house. He also carried the dry ice to my car. The staff that was working at the counter was also friendly. This will be my go to dry ice place moving forward, but hopefully I won't need it. read more

Never thought I would need to purchase a C02 tank but rest assured that happened for the first time and I now have new ammo when I play "Never Have I Ever" or my updated version of "I'm proud to say" since I lose too quickly. Of course I didn't have a tank to simply get refilled but I was very happy to hear Ice House has them available for rental. The one thing that stood out to me was that you can use a card here if you don't have an account. As I was calling around the city, many required a check which as a true Millennial I don't use unless it's those mock checks from the mail I use as a scratch pad.... It was super quick and I was in-n-out within ten minutes. Great service and the hours vary enough for you to go either the crack of dawn or later in the evening. May end up coming back if I ever need commercial amount of ice or another tank for whatever reason. read more

Great place and nice people. It was fast to grab some dry ice before hitting the airport. Also had boudin ready to eat so if you're jumping on a flight with cold goods make sure to get the dry ice here! Just a tip if you don't see it then it is because it is right behind the car wash. read more

If you need a Keg, these guys are flexible even though they close early during the week 5:30pm and the location is hard to get to coming from New Orleans with all the traffic. Maybe they should have longer or shift the hours to later on Thursday and Friday for those people that work and want to host an event during the weekend. As far as the service they were easy to talk and very awesome southern hospitality. The beer options, a good variety of beers and provide you with all the tools for a good price. The only issue I had was that We barely even touched the beer since it had so much foam. And it was so hard to remove all the foam. Maybe next time I get less foam. But this is the second time I gotten a keg from there and takes so long to get the foam out. read more

The Ice House has been around forever and there is a great reason for it! They have the cheapest ice around and you can get 40 pound bags which is pretty convenient. The car wash stalls are always being used which is a good sign of a good car wash. They also have a Kentwood drinking water dispenser where you can get your drinking water in bulk. I believe its $0.50 for a gallon and $2 for 5 gallons which fills the 5 gallon containers to the top. They have a nice little store by the register and they conveniently sell 5 gallon water jug caps for if you have multiple containers and don't want water to spill during transportation. read more

Bought a commercial Ice machine from them it broke within two weeks. They charged me to fill it with ice after it broke. And have not been back to fix it. Very disappointed read more

There is not much about this place as it was simply a gas stop before I left the city. It had one of the lowest gas prices in the area, so you should look for them if you are on the south side of Williams Blvd in Kenner. read more

Love this place. Got a ham & cheese poboy dressed, a bag of chips, a large red beans & rice and a huge sweet tea. Enough to feed 2 of us lunch for around $10. (And it was GOOD, too.) Then they brought us each a piece of King cake for dessert. 2nd time here and we will be back. read more

I'm staying up the road on business, and a coworker turned me onto this place for lunch. It was good, and the prices were right. Went back for breakfast today, and was even more impressed. Got a sausage biscuit and grits. The grits were just about perfect. A little salt and pepper and they became perfect. The biscuit, omg the biscuit. Sausage biscuit, grits, and coffee for $3. You can't beat it. I just wish I would have found it sooner. read more

I had a mind-bogglingly bad experience here in March. I needed to fill up a CO2 tank, which is a service they offer. I called ahead to make sure the service was available ("yes"), then drove out to Kenner. When I got there at 1 pm, the CO2 supply hadn't arrived, but I was told it would be there "by 3". I decided it was better to wait in Kenner than to drive home and back out. At 2:30 "by 3" had become "around 3". At 3, they called the delivery driver and the time became "later today." I left the tank with them and went home. The next day, I got a call to pick my full tank up. Two hours after I got home with it, I got a frantic call from my girlfriend that the tank had "exploded" and was spewing CO2 everywhere. I suspect they overfilled it, and the burst-disc ruptured when it came up to room temperature. If my girlfriend hadn't been home, it would have flooded the house with CO2, and my father and tenant downstairs could have both been asphyxiated. When I called them about this, they told me to "bring it by to have a look." I declined. The tank was relatively new, in perfect condition, had been inspected in the past 2 years, and the burst disc should have been inspected by the technician filling the tank. I haven't been back since. In short: Unreliable service claims inconvenience the customer, plus dangerous handling of high pressure gas systems. A rather poor combination for people who value their time or their life. read more
