They have so many different desert menu items to choose from that I was trying to pick my next item while I was eating my first option. They had so many fun, different ice cream flavors like trix! The line was not too bad. You order and they give you a ticket to pay for your items in a separate line. There's soooo much to choose from here. Oh my goodness. I've been here about 3 times at this point and brought different people with me and they all love it. They have Chimoy pickles here. My niece got one and liked it. I LOVE the mango flower. Its big and sweet and juicy. The Churros are fried when you order. They were fresh and delicious. The elote cup is also a favorite. Based on a recommendation from my older daughter, I brought my younger girlie for a sweet treat at La Michoacána. We checked out the menu prior to our arrival and we stuck to our early choices. I had frescas con cremas which was a cup of fresh strawberries with sweet cream, and topped with whipped cream. It was delicious! The berries were fresh and the cream was sweet, but not overly so. This was such a simple but stellar treat. My daughter had the cookies and cream popsickle dipped in chocolate. Not so special, but not bad, and so she helped me eat mine. Very quick service and efficient! Food is Good! Can make you crazy for sweets make you become diabetic lol! My favorite is the Mangonada. It's a love or hate food for a lot of people, but it's sweet, salty, and spicy. A lot of families bring their kids here and you just see them all piling up in a line walking to the door. The place can get busy to where the line reaches outside the door especially at night. This refreshing drink is made up of mango sorbet flavored with chamoy -- a savory sauce made of pickled fruit. It's topped off with a generous amount of Tajin, fresh mangos, and a spicy-candy of many sorts. This drink can also be made with a few shots of tequila or rum, but you'd have to do that on your own. I went to this Kenner gem per the recommendation of my friend, and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be coming back many more times. read more

I was weary at first given the pretty steep prices but this place delivers. The customer service was awesome and they took great pride in their work. COVID-19 definitely isn't affecting this place because there were a lot of customers! The line was long, but it moved fast. The staff also made sure people wore masks and once it got to be too many people inside they would have incoming people wait outside until the crowd decreased. Great variety on the menu and I'm sure the Mexican/Hispanic audience in this city will love the authenticity of their favorite past time treats. THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN!!! All their popsicles and ice cream is homemade! Enough said! I got to taste a lot of stuff tonight and it was all delicious. The popsicles so far are my favorite because they are perfect and refreshing. Strawberry Kiwi! Also got to try the Cookie Monster popsicle which was sooo good. My husband got the mango thing and he said it reminded him of his childhood in Miami and he loved it. The mango sorbet is delicious! Also waffle cones were on point! Not only has this place gone completely downhill in the last year or two, but also the owner refuses to give any tips made on a credit card to the employees and keeps it all. You need to tip cash if you want the employees to get a dime. This is very ILLEGAL and also completely unethical. There are multiple reports online from ex-employees about this. Finally a solid mangonada spot opens nearby. These are readily available all over California and I've always been surprised no one has opened a location like this in the New Orleans market. The store is pretty spotless, the Manager is great, and the employees are pleasant. Price wise, it's not bad, and the fruit is high quality. I've been here twice so far, and it's definitely becoming one of my go to spots to grab a snack during the day. I highly recommend either the Mangonada or getting the fruit cup with mango, pineapple, and strawberries. I haven't had their ice cream yet, but it looks great too. Check them out! read more

Everytime i enter Nola I always try to make La Michoacana a must stop. Mangonada is a MUST try. Spicy, sweet, salty, mango-y yumminess. It's definitely an acquired taste. I would honestly just eat the mango soft serve or whatever it is by itself. Mango Fresca .. I didn't like this drink at all.. I asked what was their most popular flavor and mango was recommended. I'm not sure if the mango was just old or what but I didn't taste fresh at all.. The soda Float drink was yummy.! The strawberry in a cup with cream was refreshing! Honestly, so so worth the cost. Okay. I'm conflicted. I've been here quite a few times. I am obsessed with the chamoy gushers and sour punch so I go here often just for that and the mangonada. However, whenever I try to order something different I always get responses like "I don't know how to make that" or " we can't make that". So I've opted not to try anything else even though I want to. For example they made the shrimp ceviche item for my boyfriend and told me she didn't know how to make plain nachos. Odd. I almost stopped going but the chamoy gushers call my name. So I would suggest training employees on how to make all the items offered. read more

Ice cream was amazing and so was the churros. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of the employees. It seemed as though they were rushing me when they closed 4 hours later. Then I asked for a chocolate filled churro and the employee gave me a regular churro when I asked them about it she laughed in my face and walked away. With a banging business like this customer service is important and they definitely need to learn customer service. The manager was super nice the first time I went though. I was blown away by the flavors of ice creams they had. My daughter and I I heard about it and decided to try. We both had the bubble waffle cone. Which were made fresh to order. She had the mint chocolate chip I had the churro and horchata with chocolate sauce and sprinkles. I also got a quart of the Chile spiced mango ice cream to go. And we got a few of the pre made ice cream bars. We will be back soon with the rest of the family. The flavors are very original but can't wait to try the drink with the Tajin spiced rim and what looked to be a large straw wrapped with a churro.
