This is a very cute spot! Great place to hang out with friends and try some snacks! I got a mangonada and some churros, sooooo good!

Based on a recommendation from my older daughter, I brought my younger girlie for a sweet treat at La Michoacána. We checked out the menu prior to our arrival and we stuck to our early choices. I had frescas con cremas which was a cup of fresh strawberries with sweet cream, and topped with whipped cream. It was delicious! The berries were fresh and the cream was sweet, but not overly so. This was such a simple but stellar treat. My daughter had the cookies and cream popsickle dipped in chocolate. Not so special, but not bad, and so she helped me eat mine. I'm looking forward to my next trip, and I plan to try another one of their fruit treats.

Very quick service and efficient! Food is Good! Can make you crazy for sweets make you become diabetic lol! My favorite is the Mangonada. It's a love or hate food for a lot of people, but it's sweet, salty, and spicy. A lot of families bring their kids here and you just see them all piling up in a line walking to the door. The place can get busy to where the line reaches outside the door especially at night. I love that they are open late so when you have craving for dessert just go to this place and it'll satisfy your cravings!

Tbh a bit expensive for my taste. But the portions are pretty big. The staff is friendly. Takes a while for your snack to come out. I'm so used to getting from mom and pop shops back home. This one is a bit glamorous. I got mangonada, elote and strawberry pop for $30. Yes I recommend but I rather go to a bazaar. It's pretty good.

Enjoyed the heck out to my Bubble Waffle cone! This place is a true hidden gem in Kenner. I was told that everything is made fresh including the ice cream. I got two scoops of chocolate. We also ordered a chocolate covered frozen banana that was a tasty treat. The staff were friendly. It was pretty busy but it flowed smoothly.

Give me a MANGONADA (also known as Chamoyada or Chamango) from this spot every day of this summer, and I'm good. The perfect mix of sweet, tart, and spicy. This refreshing drink is made up of mango sorbet flavored with chamoy -- a savory sauce made of pickled fruit. It's topped off with a generous amount of Tajin, fresh mangos, and a spicy-candy of many sorts. This drink can also be made with a few shots of tequila or rum, but you'd have to do that on your own. I went to this Kenner gem per the recommendation of my friend, and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be coming back many more times.

I was weary at first given the pretty steep prices but this place delivers. The customer service was awesome and they took great pride in their work. COVID-19 definitely isn't affecting this place because there were a lot of customers! The line was long, but it moved fast. The staff also made sure people wore masks and once it got to be too many people inside they would have incoming people wait outside until the crowd decreased. Great variety on the menu and I'm sure the Mexican/Hispanic audience in this city will love the authenticity of their favorite past time treats. I'm basic and just got an Oreo milkshake but it was delicious. I am definitely going to go back and expand my horizons.

THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN!!! All their popsicles and ice cream is homemade! Enough said! I got to taste a lot of stuff tonight and it was all delicious. The popsicles so far are my favorite because they are perfect and refreshing. Strawberry Kiwi! Also got to try the Cookie Monster popsicle which was sooo good. My husband got the mango thing and he said it reminded him of his childhood in Miami and he loved it. The mango sorbet is delicious! Also waffle cones were on point! My kids got Superman and m&m ice cream which is not something I would get but was forced to eat for a little while and was definitely delicious! I want to come back everyday.

This place was pretty busy for a Monday evening. They have so many cool options for snacks but being vegan I was a little limited. I went with the trusty mangonada and it is so good. Never had one? It is spicy, sweet, and salty (think tamarind candy) and sweet fruity goodness from the mango. I highly recommend giving this place a try. There's something for everyone.

The food is always magazine worthy the fruit is sweet and juicy. The ice cream taste like its home made very vibrant flavor. The service is always pleasant no matter if they're busy or not so busy they are attentive and helpful. This is def our new spot for treats for the family. Every time we eat here our tastebuds get a tasty t

Finally a solid mangonada spot opens nearby. These are readily available all over California and I've always been surprised no one has opened a location like this in the New Orleans market. The store is pretty spotless, the Manager is great, and the employees are pleasant. Price wise, it's not bad, and the fruit is high quality. I've been here twice so far, and it's definitely becoming one of my go to spots to grab a snack during the day. I highly recommend either the Mangonada or getting the fruit cup with mango, pineapple, and strawberries. I haven't had their ice cream yet, but it looks great too. Check them out!

    Elote & mangonado?
    Vina L.

It's pretty good here! They have ALOT to choose from, i wish i had a big appetite to try all at one time i would. The mangonado is pretty good! The mango ice cream is what really made me love it! It taste like mango sorbet!!! So nice and soft. If you're not use to like all the sourness they add on top, it might catch you off guard. It was sweet, sour, and a little salty! Which I'm not really use to! The elote was really good! The perfect amount of cheese and spice on top, with a little bit of squeeze lime gives you a nice acidity with the mayo sauce they have in it. I love corn so I can literally eat it with anything lol.

A few years ago I had been to La Tia in Metairie, and it left a serious impression. What stuck with me most were the craft cocktails...creative, clever, and a little bit mischievous. I still remember one in particular: a Mexican-inspired cocktail with mezcal and beet juice that somehow managed to taste like summer decided to take a vacation south of the border. It was the kind of drink that makes you pause mid-sip and say, "Okay... whoever thought of this deserves a raise." Somehow the place drifted off my radar over time. But when the craving for Mexican food hit, it popped right back into my head. I was excited to bring my son and daughter-in-law since they had never been. Unfortunately... the reunion didn't exactly go as planned. Two things hit me immediately while looking over the menu. First: the craft cocktails were gone. Not "different." Not "updated." Just... gone. Replaced with the same drinks you see in every other Mexican restaurant. Second: the prices nearly made me spit out the water I hadn't even ordered yet. $6 for a Corona. $18 for a basic burrito with fries. $10 for a kids plate over chicken tenders and some fries. And not the old La Tia burritos either...the ones I remembered piled high with rich molé, bright verde sauces, and layers of flavor that made you wonder if you should be taking notes. Nope. Now we're talking about a plain flour tortilla with some ground meat inside, no sauce, and a side of what looked suspiciously like freezer-aisle French fries. For eighteen dollars. My daughter-in-law ordered the fajitas, and honestly... they were rough. Thin strips of overcooked meat that looked like they had taken a brief vacation in a plastic bag before hitting the grill...served on a plate. Lately I've gotten into the habit of pulling up Yelp photos to compare dishes from past years, and I did exactly that. I found a photo of the same fajitas from about three years ago...big, juicy steak pieces, sizzling on cast iron and full of life. What we got looked like it came from a completely different restaurant. To be fair, my shrimp tacos were actually pretty good. Nicely cooked shrimp, decent flavor, and probably the lone bright spot of the night. But overall, it felt like the La Tia I loved had quietly packed up and left the building. The elevated Mexican food? Gone. The rich sauces? Gone. The inventive cocktails that made the bar worth sitting at? Also gone. In their place: food that feels pulled from a bag... at prices that feel pulled from a luxury menu. It's a tough thing when a restaurant you once loved loses its spark. But sadly, this visit felt less like a reunion and more like running into an old friend who has completely changed--and not for the better. As much as I hate to say it, I don't see myself returning to La Tia anytime soon. Turns out the only thing that stayed spicy... was the price tag.

Decided to sit at the bar so I can get in and out quickly and have a little margarita. My server/bartender wasn't very attentive at all. I had to get his attention a few times for service because he was in his whole the whole time. I ordered a margarita that to me was okay, but it tasted much better after I asked to have a flavor added to it. I think it was hibiscus. I only got 2 tacos. The fish and shrimp. The fish was a little bland for my taste but the sauces and add ons saved it. This was an okay experience, I'm writing this place off. I plan to give them another shot and try some of their other menu items.

On our last visit the fajitas were incredibly salty and we did not even finish them. Well, THEY ARE BACK! I am very happy to say this! We went there last week and had the chicken and steak fajitas and they were incredible once again. Great flavor, well seasoned, cooked to perfection. I have one big complaint, however, and it has something to do with their supplier. In my wife's and my opinion, the shells they provide to you for the fajitas are an absolute joke. Taco Bell's shells are larger. Every other Mexican food restaurant I have gone to are larger. Really, guys, I don't want to hear about your supplier, I could not care less and really do not want excuses. Then, the bartender has the Gaul to tell us that they are designed more for pushing than making a fajita! DO NOT tell me how to eat my meal and do not come up with such a poor excuse. This place has great Margaritas. Donnie is an incredible chef putting out the best Fajitas in the city! Don't insult your restaurant, your customers, and Donnie and give your customers Fajita shells that would be better suited to little hands in a grade school cafeteria!

Once I ordered, the food and drinks came out quickly. The 'unlimited' mimosas actually cap at 5, which is fine, but the mix they use cheapens the drink, and the glasses weren't the cleanest. The birria and grits were good (about a 7/10), though I think the pre-shredded Mexican blend cheese on top took away from the dish. A traditional white cheese would have worked better. The birria tacos were tasty, though. The bathrooms could use attention as there were no paper towels, which makes me wonder what employees do after washing their hands. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely cost-efficient. With a few tweaks to the drinks and presentation, this place could easily go from a 3-star to a 4- or 5-star brunch spot. I'll be back to try the tacos and check out the unlimited margaritas.
