So yes, walk in to the huge nursery but don't feel overwhelmed. There will be a well-informed employee there to help you. And you don't have to go hunting for them. Perino's is paradise at this time of year when most of our minds are geared towards making our outdoor spaces beautiful, even if in a month or two we will be hiding inside from the heat. Perino's has it all from annuals to perennials to shrubs to trees and everything in between. Yes, you're paying more for things than you will at HD or Lowes, but the quality is profoundly superior to what you'll get there (sidenote: it's depressing to see the wilting flora at the big box stores, clearly due to lack of watering. Then they put them on sale but c'mon). Perino's has sales at times, too. Proof of quality: I see in my last review 12 years ago that I mention buying a star jasmine vine. I still have that vine and it made it through two cross country moves!

They were both really lovely…read morepeople!  Tabitha is the owner of this business, and she is SO helpful and knowledgeable about all of her plants!  She gave me some great tips on how to care for them. She always gives people her business card to make it easier to contact her if you go home and find yourself with more questions! The business was transported to the market via bus.  This was a cute silver bus with the inside renovated to become a little showroom for plants! Absolutely adorable. There were numerous types of plants there of all different sizes, but I got a mint and pothos plant (complimentary with my Yelp Elite Perk).  I also purchased a bigger bromeliad plant as well with a beautiful orange bloom.  They all look super well-taken care of and healthy!  Cross my fingers, I'm hoping they stay that way once I get them home! I didn't see all of the prices on the plants, but from what I saw, they were reasonably priced.  A lot of them were under $10. I'd spend that much buying plants from a big box store, but getting it from Tabitha, the plants are probably in better shape for the same price. Plus, it's always nice to go local!

She's very knowledgeable about her plants and she will help you find something that fits your skill level and your environment (I don't have a lot of natural light in my apartment or office). I ended up leaving with not only my elite event goodies, but also two peperomias. They have a nice selection of different types of palms. I bought a pygmy date palm there to offset an existing one that I had. Then we changed the landscaping design and I had to move it. This most recent trip was to get some additional camellias for the front yard to fill in a shrubbery bed and tie it into the existing landscape. I've been satisfied with the plants and they have all survived.
