We visited LaGrange to check out the new Timberwolf Axe Throwing location and worked up an appetite. Ice Queen is located in the quaint LaGrange downtown square. Made to order ice cream is a labor of love so it's not the quickest but it sure is delicious! My girls loved watching the process; it's mesmerizing. My only complaint is there is one serving size so we ordered more than my kids could eat. Mixing graham cracker crumbs into the vanilla was heavenly! Looking forward to returning to try another yummy flavor and filling up my frequent visitor card. read more

According to my daughter I need to get out more and that rolled ice cream is the new thing. We were looking for a quick dessert to reward some kids we had with us and found this little gem off the square in LaGrange. What a cool place. While an ice cream shop is a great idea for the square, our family was not impressed by this one. -At the time of our visit, there were only 2 base flavors of ice cream available: chocolate and vanilla. While there are lots of stir-ins to choose from, the store definitely needs more varieties of ice cream in our opinion. -My husband, who wanted a fruit smoothie, wound up ordering one of their frozen fruit drinks. It came in what appeared to be a pre-packaged cup, and was way too syrupy/sugary. -Our kids had a very hard time ordering their $6.50(!!!!!) cup of ice cream due, in part to the multiple 'steps' in the ordering process, and in part to the blaring club music. They couldn't hear me or the cashier clearly, and so they got frustrated, which frustrated me, and ruined the whole "let's go out for ice cream" for us all. In summation: $6.50 or more for a cup of ice cream (!,) few flavor choices, pre-packaged items, and super loud music. We'll continue going elsewhere and leave this one to the tourists. read more

I visit LaGrange once every year or two to see my boyfriend's family. I hope this place stays open, it's a good addition to this growing town and coming from the Silicon Valley (California) where milk tea shops are around every corner, I have to say that my honeydew milk tea with lychee jelly was pretty good. Stopped here the other night to try their bubble teas since this is an exciting, fun treat that seems to be gaining popularity. It is a small place on the square with a few tables to sit down inside. The staff seemed upbeat and friendly. I was slightly disappointed when they told me they were out of regular "Black" milk tea, but hopefully this was not a usual thing and just bad luck. I decided to try something I would not normally try, so I ordered their Honeydew Milk tea with Mango Popping Boba. My boyfriend ordered the regular Thai Milk tea with regular Boba. His was very good... everything you would expect with a Thai tea. To say mine exceeded my expectations would be an understatement! It was amazingly good! I didn't watch the staff to see what they were using, but my drink tasted like REAL honeydew melon (not, fake, candy taste) and the Mango Pop was an awesome addition to it! Even my boyfriend said my drink was fantastic! We were too full for ice cream, but the ice cream offered looked very good and we will be back to try it! read more
