According to google it opens at 3 and stated the hours were updated 5 weeks ago by a phone call. We got here a little before 3, so we walked around. We waited til about 3:10 and it still wasn't open so we called the phone number on google, and who I assumed is the owner answered stating they opened at 3:30. By this point in time it was about 3:15 so we decided to wait until 3:40. And no one ever showed up. It didn't seem like anyone was even in the building. Will no be returning. Pretty good, but I just don't think I'm a fan of rolled ice cream. I've never had rolled ice cream before, so I have nothing to compare this too. Even at 9 p.m. on a Sunday (they close at 10 p.m.) there were two employees so my husband and I were able to get our ice cream at the same time, which was pretty sweet (ha, pun). It was an impromptu, lets go grab ice cream, so I wasn't able to do my normal obsessive stalk of the Yelp page/menu. They have more than just ice cream rolls, there are smoothies and crepes too. My husband got the Cookie Monster and I decided to create my own. I found it a little confusing creating my own because it said up to two flavors and two toppings. When I asked about the toppings list being split in black and red, the employee said the stuff in red has to be a topping because it doesn't mix well. So I asked does that mean I choose two that are black and two that are red and she said no they are all toppings. Looking back at this convo I think the black are considered "flavors" and the black and red are considered toppings (like a square is a rectangle but a rectangle isn't a square situation), but I never got a clear answer. I went with oreo and pecan to be mixed in and chocolate chip and fudge as a topping. My other question is if I wanted more toppings what would be the extra cost? As I'm writing this I realize I have a lot of random unanswered questions. The actual taste was fine, but nothing really exciting. It reminded me of Cold Stone Creamery, how they mix everything in. I think I like bigger chunks of mix ins, so the way they finely chop everything and it blends into the ice cream doesn't really appeal to me. Overall, it was good, but nothing I would get again. We went here and the rolled icecream was completely sour- like inedible (our kids got soft served and didn't complain so hopefully it was ok). The service was slow, especially considering we were the only people who when we arrived. They made ours and then made the people after us before checking us out. Our icecream was already melting onto the counter by the time we paid. While walking to the car with our kids they tried to come out to us and tell us they think they charged us less and we need to pay more. This location is conspicuously placed in an outdoor shopping area. It's between a health food place and a burger joint. Not bad placement actually but you'd miss it if you weren't looking for it or through here regularly. The couple that owns it are extremely friendly and take great care to make your ice cream. It's a very interesting process to behold. They place the fruit in with their cream and they freeze together nicely for a very flavorful experience. Not to mention a visually pleasure to behold. Went here last night. Staff was very nice and helpful. Let's be clear: you are paying a premium to watch them "make" your ice cream. The quality of the ice cream is not reflected by the price. It was over $5/each for our ice cream which looked neat, but tasted bland. I got a coffee one and my boyfriend got a banana one. It was funny watching it he made because he added (for like $1.00) Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, which ended up being one small PB Cup cut up and added in.... and the banana part was literally less than a quarter of a banana.
