The posole was rich and tasty, & although I am not a big fan of chicharrones,I did add a few as well as the seasonings on the table, the lettuce, and some chopped onions which Violeta cheerfully brought for me. It was a lot of posole and I ended up taking a ball home. I also ordered a dozen homemade corn tortillas to take with me and I was able to take some of the Serrano Picoso as well. 1st: Very, very happy with our cake! Ordered a cake for my sons 7th birthday, sent a picture of what I wanted and got exactly that! The cake was DELICIOUS. Moist and flavorful! Highly recommend and will definitely be using them again. Not to mention, incredibly reasonable with pricing. 2nd: Purchased a cake for my graduation and my name was spelled wrong, easy fix, and it looked fine. The inside was lemon filling and it was such a thin layer that I could barely taste it. Should have asked for extra filling. 3rd: We ordered my sons 8th birthday cake from here and I am disappointed. We haven't eaten it yet but are not happy with the outside. It does not look like a professional cake. We ordered a very basic, very simple cake with a small fondant black panther face. The Black Panther, in my opinion, is not difficult to create, especially just the face. The Black Panther piece is sad. That's all I can say. I was nervous about ordering an anime-themed birthday cake for my daughter's sweet 16 when other bakeries that I called offered to just screen print a photo on top of a cake. When I called Icing on the Cake the staff went directly to the cake decorator to discuss my idea. I sent a few pictures of my daughter's favorite character and they created a cake beyond my expectations. My daughter was blown away! The best Colorado Springs has to offer! Mischa made our daughter's wedding cake dream a reality! The five tier ombré rosette cake was absolutely stunning and equally delicious! Our bride chose layers of vanilla, chocolate, and lemon all with raspberry filling. Each was outstanding in taste. Our wedding cake was a round two-tier almond cake, and the groom's cake was a Dragon Ball Z German chocolate cake with coconut filling. I found this business on The Knot and chose them because of their reviews. We flew into Colorado Springs for a small, intimate elopement and we chose a small two tier cake. We ordered a white cake with strawberry filling and it was so delicious. Every one raved about how fresh the strawberries tasted and how moist the cake was. Since we don't live in the state it is doubtful that we would be able to use this business again, but do yourself a favor and give them a try. read more
