Go spend your money at another theater chain like Cinemark or Regal. This is the first time I have been to this theater and I won't be returning ever again. For a supposed upscale area, the lobby was cheesy and cheap looking. A large soda for $8.25. No thank you. Popcorn all over the floor. They won't let you pick seating if there's a gap seat between you and another party. By the way, single people go to movies. I've done it before. Let me sit where I want with my +1. Park out front because the garage is behind the theater and is a trek to get there. The parking garage and elevator looks trashed. Honestly, go to another theater chain. The theater commercials are absolutely out dated and rude. Have you changed your mind yet? Go to another theater chain. We went to watch Toy Story 5 here for the first time! I really liked that it was bright and felt clean! Service was good and we ordered quite a bit of warm food for the movie and they brought it to us so we could get settled in our seats and start the movie! I loved this! I am not sure this is something they do regularly, but that's service! Prices were pretty typical for your movie theater... tickets were really easy to get online! They do have seating in there if you wanted to eat dinner ahead of time or after your movie... Some games... They do have alcohol for adults, including slushy alcohol drinks. Parking is not great in my opinion... this is why I'm giving this place four stars.. read more

We really like this theater, the staff is friendly and the theaters are clean and comfy. The only drawback is the parking. If you can't find a spot in the front by the townhomes, you have to park in the back parking structure and it's annoying not having a walk through to the theater, you have to walk all the way around the theater front, very odd flow. read more

Great theater when we don't need IMAX, which can't be found here. Their largest theater has excellent seating and the screen size is huge! The sound could have been a little louder, as I've been there twice and both times the sound was too low. I'm at a movie, I don't expect there to be "conservative" volume. The deal with the popcorn and drink is fine, but if you're really watching a movie, how many times are you going to fill your drink and popcorn? Still, nice to have. I've had my eye on this theater for a long while. Finally decided to stop in this past weekend to see Avatar. I was immediately pleased by the friendly greetings from the concession workers. That was really nice. I have to say, they were also really good at the up-sell. The movie was great. The wonderful recliners were so comfortable. My only negative is that the place seemed like it needed more work on cleanup. There was a lot of popcorn on the floors. And the shorts that ran before the movie need updating. They seemed like something I would've seen 20 years ago. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. With just a bit of investment in updating and cleaning this could be a real destination theater. read more

Came with the family to watch Wish. The floors were wet and slippery at the entry and then there was food and popcorn everywhere when we got in the theater. On top of it, they don't take cash which is always frustrating and the worker was rude to my daughters when they were filling their popcorn bucket. Overall, a really bad experience. Do not recommend. It is a walk to the door in the dark. Try to park on the street in front of the door. Really bad - theater is freezing cold. Really, really cold. This was my first visit to Icon Cinema and I was very impressed. The concessions are completely self service, when you order popcorn you are given a bucket and get as much popcorn or butter as you want. The theater seating is extremely comfortable and the rows are spaced so well that you can't see the row in front of you or behind you. Parking can be tricky because there is a lot of construction going on but just follow the signs. The inside of the theater is very nice and new. I reserved and paid for my tickets online. I paid online so I just showed my email that I had paid and they scanned my email at the counter where you buy popcorn. Free refills on popcorn and soda on any size. Small popcorn was $4.00 and refills are free. The recliner seats were very comfortable. The theater was very clean and the employees were super nice. As a person with limited mobility, this movie venue was disastrous. Handicapped parking was a major trek to the entrance. Once tickets were purchased, getting to your theater seat was an additional hike. There are no areas to sit to rest and recuperate as you are 'hiking' to your theater seat. It was far too long of a hike for a limited mobility individual. Then, once you enter the theater area the lights were way too low, and it was dangerous as you navigated to your seat. And then, I am hard of hearing, and the volume was WAY to loud. It was SO loud it was painful and no one could turn it down when asked. The popcorn was old and stale. The theater might be good if you have high energy kiddos and need to let them run up and down the halls as you venture to your seat. For older folks with limited mobility this is definitely a no go for any show. read more

First off, the building and it's surrounding area are still under construction. So we drove in circles and did u-turn after u-turn trying to get into this place! Wow, so confusing. Especially when there are no obvious signs to help you. So just beware, and give yourself time to navigate this area due to possible blocked entrances. But besides that, I really liked this theatre. Conveniently, the concession and ticket counter are placed together, so you would purchase your tickets and your snacks at the same time. I think most people would think this is odd, but that's essentially one less line you have to stand in... so I really appreciate that. Best part: They have popcorn dispensers for unlimited popcorn refills that you can refill and butter yourself! Go crazy. The theatre we were in felt very open and spacious. And there is a small wall behind each row, which creates a sense of privacy and blocks noise from people directly behind you. However, I did think it was odd that you have to go all the way back out into the lobby to use the restroom. A little inconvenient if you have small children who need to use the restroom frequently. read more

Ok, I love this place. they serve ice cream, have great seating and have plenty of goodies to choose from. Not to mention the seating is comfortable and its always nice and clean. The only downfall is that the building that its attached to isnt finished and sometimes smells like sewage when walking up, but you cant smell it inside the theatre. My hope is that they will finish the building around it. I know they are building apartments across the parking lot so I see hope for them. Also, there's plenty of great parking!! read more

My go to movie theater in the Springs!!! I've been here about 6-10 times over the past 2 years to enjoy the latest movie flick. Very laid back, plenty of parking, and rarely over crowded. I can drive up, park, buy my tickets, get some snacks, and be in my seat in less than 10 minutes. This theater is unique because the popcorn and fountain drinks are self-serve. Buy whatever size you want and refill it as many times as you please. I've learned that getting the smaller size isn't always the best unless you want to get up front your recliner seat every 15 minutes to refill your popcorn or drinks. They also have dippin dots and a few beers to choose from. read more

Although the movie theater itself is spacious with multiple theater rooms, the announcements before the movie started were insulting, condescending and rude. There are better ways to advise customers of protocols if a baby is crying or they forgot to switch their cell phone off. Your announcements come off angry, controlling & downright rude. I've gone to movie theaters all my adult life and never, ever had a threatening announcement like yours (not 1 but 2) before the movie began. Polite suggestions for moving a baby yes. And shutting a phone off - of course. Get some marketing consulting done. I don't have any babies anymore, and I do silence my cell phone, but I will never use your theater again. **** I hate this place ***** I've been to movie theaters all over the world. It's not that hard to make movie goers happy. Make it easy to park, get tickets, buy your snacks and then find your seat. Easy, right? WELL NO. Apparently whoever designed this movie theater thought it would be an AMAZING idea to put a big ass sign and parking lot announcing that they have a theater there....then you park and there's NO SIGNAGE HOW TO GET TO THE THEATRE. I am not exaggerating when I say it's in a middle of what looks like 50% abandoned creepy ass 90s mall and 50% abandoned construction site (dust and gravel everywhere). The elevator has 3 levels, NONE OF WHICH TAKE YOU ANYWHERE USEFUL. The façade of the building (where all the BIG MOVIE THEATER signs are) has all the entrances sealed up. SUPER FRUSTRATING experience. We arrived 20 min late to our movie because we we kept on trying to find signs of life via any one of the elevator levels. read more

Just saw A Wrinkle in Time...enjoyed the movie, come see it! First time at this theater, from entry to theater this is the place to come. Ticket and concessions purchase at one place. Blue Bell ice cream is here too. Has nice lounge area with inlet fireplace. Theatre seats loved the reclining and the plus it seems has if i was in my own box. No ones head bobbing in my view. Very spacious no more having to move for someone to go by. Loved the flooring, no carpet (thanks, helps with allergies). And since I'm a true popcorn eater...I can eat and eat and eat as much as I can hold. With one purchase, now that's movie going! Oh yeah, drinks too..no matter the size. I'll be back for sure!!!! This place is super cool and brand new and immaculately clean! There is beautiful stone and tile work that makes me feel like I'm in a luxury theater! Bathrooms are clean but less pretty, but clean is most important! The very best thing is all movies are $6 on Tuesdays all day long! Coupons for free popcorn in Peak View Magazine (monthly mailer). Sadly, they don't always get the "prime" featured movies because of the competition with Regal Interquest 14, but every single seat is a recliner and you reserve your exact seat at purchase. Plus, every single popcorn or nacho or icee/drink has unlimited refills that you go get yourself! You couldn't ask for more and extremely nice staff. This place is going to be a hit! read more

I'm not taking points away for my poor choice in movie to watch. We bought our tickets and chose our seats from the house, but when we went to sit down noticed that the seats on the stub weren't even close to the ones we chose. The theater was basically empty, so we chose more appropriate seats. So much for reserving seating. My other quibble is with the restrooms. They were clean enough, but relied on disease-spreading blowers for hand drying. During this time of Covid that borders on criminal. I never use them and hope no one else does while I am in the area. They pick up every germ and virus and circulate them in the process of drying. I usually duck out and grab a few napkins if available or simply wipe under my armpits if not. I also like to use a paper towel to open the door and toss it in waste basket there or on floor if not. Some places have these handy little things at bottom of door so that the door can be opened with a foot--I wish they all did. I didn't try their drinks, but was pleased to note that they offer them, especially margaritas. I did have a little trouble finding a comfortable position with the seats that recline at the touch of a button. I'm a little tall so people of a more standard stature might find them perfect. The theater was way too dark during the seating/preview time, it didn't help that I have auto-darkening glasses but I usually don't have a problem with finding my way in other theaters. read more

I was on the fence about how to land with my rating of the new Icon Cinema; they opened on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Seeing that the theater is in a mall that was never finished/that's still under construction it's a hidden gem. My wife and I were the only ones in a 7:10 movie. The theaters are small with seating for about 50. The seats themselves are power faux-leather recliners that are pretty comfortable. When you buy your tickets you actually pick what seats you want. Pricing is pretty standard: $8 for military, $10.50 for weeknights and $11 for weekends. So why not a 5th star? Icon's website is really bad and there's something about the decor that feels hokey (can't put my finger on it). read more

These seats do this whereas other theater reclining seats do not. This is my new theater. How about a frequent movie goer program. Now let me buy tickets online without extra fee. On Saturday morning 7 of us, 3 adults and 4 children, attending a showing of the Lion King at Icon Cinema in Colorado Springs. After getting the kids settled I went back to the lobby and approached 3 men gathered in a corner who appeared to be management in order to request a closed caption device. Upon the request, I was asked for a copy of my ID for management to "hold onto". I informed them that I did not have my ID with me and was told that no device could be provided without ID. I have worn hearing aids 30 of my 37 years and never, in this country, have I been requested to provide a piece of collateral in order to utilize a tool for accessibility. I explained as much to the gentlemen and was told that this wasn't an accessibility issue, rather it was an issue of expensive equipment. I then responded that in fact, this was discrimination. At this point, a man in the group explained that he would provide the device, "Just this once" and that next time I was to "not be so rude." He then turned and went to retrieve the device. When he came back, I explained that it is not rude to request an assistive device for a disability and asked for contact information for his supervisor. This was refused as he told me he was the "General Manager". I then told him I would like the contact information for Icon's Corporate Office. This was refused and I was told the theatre is "family-owned". I then requested the contact information for the owner. The GM left and came back with a card, pointed to the website and told me there was a contact form on that. I will point out that on January 17, 2017 a final rule by the Department of Justice went into effect regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) wherein it is required, by the Federal Government, to provide closed caption devices at movie theatres and that failure to do so is in fact discrimination and violation of this act. Nowhere in this act is a provision provided to allow for a theatre to in turn request any form of collateral whatsoever for these devices. In fact, to do so would be tantamount to requesting a person in a wheelchair to provide collateral to a business in case their wheelchair in some way damaged the business wheelchair ramp providing entrance to their establishment. Upon returning the device after the film, I informed the manager that the act did not allow for a request of collateral and was told, in response, that the requirement to surrender identification was a matter of policy. A policy cannot contradict laws passed by the federal government of the United States, when they do, they become crimes. At no point should anyone patronizing an institution be made to feel inferior or as though they in some way "owe something" to a business. This is how I was made to feel at Icon. I was also told that by demanding that the ADA be adhered to, I was in some way being rude to the employees who were in violation thereof. This experience was a poor one, to say the least and while I have no intention to ever provide Icon with my business, or my family's business again, I can only hope that this experience and this comment will make it's way to some form of company leaders who will, in fact, ensure that those with disabilities are not treated as second tiered citizens and patrons in the future. read more

Drove to this theatre to see an 8pm movie and had a hard time even figuring out where to go. The complex is a little confusing. Once I found the big parking lot/parking garage, I parked and tried to find the theatre entrance. I was parked on level 3, and couldn't figure out what level I needed to be on in order to get to the theatre. The elevators don't work. I finally saw a sign that directed me to the "cinema entrance" so I followed it...and it led me nowhere. I ended up on a path where there were service entrances and an alleyway. The building looked like it was still under construction, I saw inside of a large window and it was empty with some construction equipment around. At this point, after I had already wandered around for a few minutes, I just left and decided not to see the movie. It was dark out, there were no signs of life, and I didn't want to keep wandering around alone. I would love to actually see a movie at this theatre, but as some other reviews have said, it was hard to navigate. Maybe I'll return in the daytime one day so that I feel more comfortable figuring out where to even go, but until then - this is a no go for me. I don't feel like I should have to spend more than one minute figuring out where the entrance to a business is. Poor design. read more
