We googled many photographers and found photos we liked but many were already booked or out of our price range. Then we thought to book a photographer who was familiar with our ceremony and reception site (the Natural History Museum) since it was a such a challenging space to work as far as photography goes. This ended up working out amazingly well for us. We found Jennifer, through the museum's blog, along with a few other photographer's, but we thought Jennifer's style matched ours best. Luckily, Jennifer had not booked our wedding date yet and I went to meet with her right away. We had a bunch of sample albums for me to flip through and showed me all her pricing packages. Considering we got SO much value from her standard package, we were set and put in a deposit right away. On the day of the wedding, she was prompt and got to work immediately, taking photos of my gown and shows before I got in them. Then she had some really great ideas for some all girl photos with my bridesmaids before we all drove over to the venue. Once at the venue, she coordinated our "first look" photos between my husband and I perfectly He was so surprised to see my in my gown and her photos captured the moment perfectly. She was also able to cover all the different shots I wanted: rose garden, outside the historic museum steps, dinosaurs, family shots, the works! Jennifer and her assistant took over 1300 images after all was said and done. After the wedding, she uploaded all the photos to pictage very quickly and I spent a month selecting 200 images for my album. I also got $200 worth of credit on pictage as well which was much appreciated. The album is gorgeous and I couldn't be happier with the way everything came out.

Our photo gallery captures all the joy, emotion, uniqueness, and specialness of our day in a way that's difficult to describe. Beyond making things look beautiful, which I feel like many photographers do, she's also an expert at capturing all the small real moments and raw feelings into photos. Now, five months later, scrolling through our gallery reminds us of a ton of little details about the day that we otherwise might have forgotten. Like the hilarity of the groomsmen helping my groom tie his shoes, how exactly our first look felt, a ridiculous yelling-moment I had with my brother during wedding party photos, the dorky uniqueness of every friendship pairing within our wedding party, me crying-down-the-aisle, ALL the emotions during the ceremony, the joy and relief and overwhelm of emotions post-ceremony... the list goes on and on! You can honestly HEAR a lot of these photos. I think that's what makes Jannet so incredibly special - documenting what happened (in a beautiful way!!) without making everything feel fabricated and posed in the moment... This is exactly what we were hoping for when we set out looking for a photographer, and man oh man did Jannet deliver! Logistically, Jannet was communicative, punctual, and overall amazing! Jannet arrived perfectly on time on the day of, and got along really well with our videographers. It was super easy to schedule meetings and logistics with her prior to the wedding, and she was always responsive and easy to talk to. She was also super accommodating and kind when it came to COVID rescheduling - we were able to move our booking dates (both the engagement shoot and the wedding itself) with her with no issues or fees. She was a happy and calming presence on the day of, and really helped move everyone along and direct what would happen next, especially while we were at our getting-ready location during the morning and early afternoon (before we met up with our day-of coordinator at the venue). Jannet made sure we stayed perfectly on schedule while making the whole day still feel really relaxed and not rushed. After we finished all the photo sessions and the wedding itself started in earnest, we hilariously had no idea where she was, she blended in so well. We didn't have to feel self-consciously on-camera all the time, and still got incredible angles and moments throughout the ceremony and reception! Thanks to her (and her awesome second shooter), we were able to stay present and really enjoy every moment! We also asked if Jannet herself had anything specific that she wanted to do, creatively - she mentioned wanting to do more film photos - and OH. MY. GOODNESS. These film photos are to DIE for. They're just incredible, and they feel so so special. There's particularly one of us coming back down the aisle after the ceremony and you can really FEEL this photo. Knowing that she had literally one chance at every moment, and yet she still managed to capture the height of every emotion... holy cow, Jannet is wildly talented. Highly highly recommend having her take some photos on film for your day!! Finally, I wanna mention that Jannet was SO kind and enthusiastic about my oddly-specific requests - I am an artist, so over the course of several months, I worked really hard on a whole bunch of unique artsy things for the reception. I described everything I made to her and said I wanted way more reception detail photos than the typical couple. She TOTALLY delivered. She made all my work look incredible and included photos of every big and little thing I made, which I am SO grateful for. My favorite thing is that she also got photos of people looking at and interacting with my work!! Aahh!! We're having a ton of trouble picking which photos to print for our walls and our wedding album, because ALL of these photos are just so good in their own ways. I've known Liz for 15 years and know she's an expert in her technical abilities of editing photos having been a design major at UCLA. Not only do they posess the artistic skill and creativity that I envisioned, but these are the type of people who go above and beyond the normal scope of duty.
