We just replaced both of our units last month with Jake and Russ at Icy Hot in Bastrop +1 (512) 360-7640. Best experience I've had with a service company in 20 years. Downstairs unit was freezing up due to coil (systems were 18 yrs old). We had another company come out 2 months before this issue for spring cleaning, found no issues. When this issue arose, we had them return out to tell us the coil needed to be replaced. They disconnected the unit, and left the drain clogged, filled with water. Called Icy Hot for a second quote, they came out same day. While they were inspecting it, he cleared the drain to make sure it didn't ruin our ceilings at no charge. I received quote the next day on Thursday, decided to go with them as it was better systems at a fair cost compared to other quote. They had the downstairs system complete and cold Saturday afternoon and the second completed on Sunday. These folks were honest, considerate, timely and everything was cleaned up as they went. They also communicated very well both verbally as well as email, sharing system specs, advice on various systems with different efficiency ratings. Wife was very happy and I live by the motto, happy wife, happy life... I would definitely give them a call for a quote or to service your equipment and I wouldn't hesitate in giving them my business in the future. read more

Called Icy Hot at 6 PM on a Friday because our A/C was out when I got home from work. They showed up half an hour later. Unfortunately, the part they needed was not readily available, so I was told I'd have to wait until Saturday afternoon (they had an early job that could potentially take all day) or Monday before they could get the part and fix my A/C. About an hour later, I received a call from one of the guys, they had salvaged the needed part from an old unit and were heading back over to fix us up. They made the trip twice AND got me fixed up temporarily and weren't going to charge me until they came back with a permanent fix. THAT is customer service, folks. Very prompt, showed up as promised, better options on the repair and service my system needed than the other local companies we got a quote from provided. As a long time service technician myself I can pick up on those shovelling BS and those who are legit. We have been using Icy Hot for the past 7 years. The first visit was more extensive. We needed our duct work redone to accommodate the newer ac unit. There after we see them about once a year for a clogged ac line. Every single visit has been within a day or less. They always answer their phone making us feel we are their number one priority, not to mention the price they charge is always fair.
