This Christmas found me needing a gift for someone that I didn't know a lot about (long story there), but it needed to be (a) special and (b) fairly unique. To that end, The Wife suggested we try Ida Red's, since what she knew about the place sorta jived with the vibe I was looking for. We made the trip in and man oh man, is there a lot to choose from. From cool to kitsch, from funny to puzzling, Ida Red's has it all. I will confess to Ida's not being the kind of place I would envision myself shopping at, but that's because I'm old, stodgy and a general curmudgeon. So I was pleasantly surprised and amused with Ida's. Overall, a really neat place with TONS of local craft merchandise. Now that I have a better idea of their offerings, I can plan a trip back, knowing what I'm looking for. read more

Great store with a lot of unique merchandise for gifts (oklahoma stickers, shirts...) or just for yourself. Loved all the retro toys like strawberry shortcake stuff. Prices were priced appropriately. My only disclaimer was the availability of sizes. I was perusing the mens' button down shirts (Pendleton brand/they had some really nice styles), however were out of size large in all of them along with the large size socks. Despite that... definitely worth the stop; just keep in mind they may not have your size if you are a size large man. read more

First time in this store and we liked it! Neat selection of gifts, Oklahoma stuff, and just a cool vibe overall. My daughter found so many stickers that were hilarious. My 8 year old found a cool magnet set to keep him busy. They also have a decent collection of soda pop. A must shop when at Brookside. read more

This is a happy place for me and becomes just that for everyone I introduce it to. They carry a great selection of local music as well as locally designed clothing and art. I frequent here mostly for the soda selection(they have all sorts of flavours and brands). Where else can you find corn flavoured soda? I do not get that though. I lean more towards the birch beer. I also get super giddy over the candy selection. There are candies available that I enjoyed as a child and "sweeties" from the UK. What more could they have? A large selection of Toms. Ok, maybe those are so 2009, but they are still going strong there. read more

Sometimes, I feel inclined to gift myself with some of the unique jewelry. 5)Music. I am in love with this boutique. Really whats not to love about it. To you're right you have a plethura of awesome bottled soda's to chose from and old school candy (the kind you cant find anywhere else) I mean Cherry mash, cow tails, those awesome candy cigarettes you sported to look cool when you were a kid. Then you've got amazing local items. A vast selection of Tulsa t-shirts, hoodies, kids shirts, and long sleeved shirts. The have an assortment of bacon themed items which i love. They have gum, soap, bacon candy. They have a wall full of tom's, a kids toy section with classic themed toys, a music section complete with Cain's ballroom items. Came in to look for some socks for an associate of mine at work for secret Santa. Came in to find ornaments being $22 and shirts being $44 a piece.. couldn't believe my eyes as I'm thinking this is outrageous. Place is so overpriced for the smallest things. Products were pretty nice and had some intriguing stuff that I wouldn't mind buying if it was a reasonable price. Will not be returning as I will not be spending that kind of money on things I could make myself for way cheaper. Very disappointed. read more

Ida Red has to be the coolest local knick knack and schwag store I've ever been! I had a co-worker working from our Tulsa office in town from Abilene and she wanted to know where she could go to find a cool Tulsa shirt for her husband and kiddo so I told her to check this place out. We went on our lunch break one day and I'm so glad I decided to go with her since I'd never been because there is so much cool stuff here! The selection of shirts here with everything from a simple Oklahoma logo to a funny saying about being an Okie or a Tulsan is quite impressive. As a typical souvenir shop, the knick knacks here range from keychains to cups to household items to local products like honey and such. I really enjoyed the selection of locally made items and the variety of colors all over the store. They sell beverages, candies, and other tasty looking items. There were several baby things so if you needed a baby shower gift or gift for a kid this would be a great place to check out. My family and friends that are from Tulsa and Oklahoma are pretty proud to be from here so realistically this is a great place for gifts in general. Would be a fun place to bring a kid too because of all the fun little candies and knick knacks. I have to say I knew they sold shirts here because I've seen people around Tulsa wearing shirts with the Ida Red logo on the back, but I had no idea what to expect when I showed up. I have been obsessed with Ida Red ever since I moved to Tulsa. I have lost track of how many things in my house came from this unique little store. I always visit right before the holidays for unique gifts for everyone in the family. They also do FREE gift wrapping!!! If someone in your life loves Tulsa, I highly recommend getting them a handmade Tulsa snow globe. I thought I would just use mine as a Christmas decoration, but I couldn't stand putting it away in a box most of the year. So, even in triple digit heat, I have my Tulsa snow globe proudly on display. Ida Red is also know for its nostalgic sodas and candies. Awesome tiny shop with nostalgic candies and old style clothes, you can get some rustic style stuff at this store. There's also salsa, rubs, seasoning, OK representing clothing, super coozies, little treats here and there. The people working here are super nice. I feel like this is a 90s kids nostalgic store. I love the store on Brookside, but I went on line to order a couple of Tulsa Snowglobes to send out of state. I have bought 5 now, they are my go to present, so when I had trouble with the address. I got a call from Ida Red, just wanting to make sure they had my order right.....I was wowed by the service, and always wowed by the products.
