However, my only complaint is that he sold me a Lifetime Electrostatic Air Filter for $129, but said it would be shipped to me because he didn't have one in his truck. Seven months later and four voice messages to their office that they have not responded to, I still do not have that Lifetime Air Filter. I did not follow my own advice and read Yelp prior to this disaster! I just used them yesterday. I found this catchy ad in "Boise Hometown Values" Magazine. My home is 2000 sqft and 4 yrs old but I know the vents are dirty from construction so I have wanted to try this. Ad says $8.00 vent and free return line, Plus free Dryer vent cleaning Bla Bla. When they arrive right they away unload their equipment and start working! I said wait, what's the cost? Super nice technician reply's, we will get to that we just need to look everything over. Grates are coming off, machine is turned on and 20 min later I ask again! The guy says don't worry we won't go over the "Coupon" without discussing it. (No idea where the coupon is but no price listed on it anyway!) Thinking oh well how bad can it be. An hour into it the technician now has a clipboard, pictures and wants to go over everything. He says they located some kind of mold plus all kinds of stuff. Shows me my options and it starts at $543.00, second option $900 then the full package $1800! Plus they want to sell me "life time" filter for $129. and UV purification system for an additional $349! OK, I'm not cheep but WT-! After I have a minor stroke the technician says to give him a min and he will call the "manager" and see if they can offer me anything. Of course they can and its like $900 all in! Anyway, I know they are filthy so I authorize the minimum, which was still $300 more then anticipated and guess what, NO FREE Dryer vent, as I didn't opt for the full package! I was handed the bill and a review sheep that had to be filled out in front of this nice young kid. The guys were actually super nice and courteous but Two hours later I was out $543.00 That is $271and hour, more then most Attorneys make and they are out the door! The equipment used was a vacuum and electric drill.. Contacted "Cheryl" (Said I could use her name) at the office who advised she is their customer service person. Very nice but after explaining it I basically learned this is their sales model and she will pass my concerns on. Right wrong or different this is just like Tim and Kim's experience! The technician was fantastic. He did a great job and was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the company is terrible. We bought several electrostatic filters which never arrived after five months. We called upwards of 30 times and no one answered the phone. No one returned phone calls or messages. We sent emails. No one responded to emails. hundreds of dollars in filters and they never had the courtesy to even call us or let us know what was going on. The absolute worst service in the valley. My grandma has COPD & I felt that we should get our ducts cleaned. $8-9 per duct. .. anyway I was roped into paying $1875.00 and promised a metal air filter, 2 months later.. no filter, furnace keeps throwing error codes with out it (new house built 2019 btw). We called, emailed, left voicemails for weeks with no reply. So, I called from a different number (immediately after the ignored call) and THEY ANSWERED. I was handed off to someone else, Once CRYSTAL got on the phone, she said our filter is back ordered 4 weeks, well... its been 2 months; She had no reply other than "well, I dont know what to tell you". My furnace is not working because there is no filter and its now snowing. the service was done September 10. I then confronted her about the ignored phone calls, emails, and she said "Well im sorry you don't understand that we are busy". We got into a heated argument and hung up. I called Boise Clean Air/Idaho Clean Air based on an ad for vent and return cleaning at $8.00 each. Of course, the upselling began immediately. I did authorize the system cleaning (total $772.00). I have no idea if the work was done well..... They came on a snowy day bringing in their vacuum and hoses....they did not lay anything down on the carpet or flooring and the items were wet. I provided towels (which later I had to wash), and then when they showed me the dust, they knocked it down for effect (and it goes in my magazine holder and carpet.....the tech said "oh, we will vacuum it"). They did not cover their shoes/boots, etc. After they left, I had dirt marks on my living room carpet from the hoses. I called Boise Clean Air 2 times and they never returned my call. I will not repeat what others have said so I will merely say "ditto." Cody arrived at our home and when I opened the door, he said nothing. I said are you here to clean the ducts which he responded that he was. I asked him his name which he replied, "Cody." I let him in but he appeared to be a bit "standoffish" and not very responsive to questions. He drug dirty equipment into the house dropping dust from his vacuum hose then said, "Oh yea, I should have cleaned that from the last job." He also let his drill with the long brush on the end, whip around on our hardwood floor. He arrived with no specific tools to remove vents, no ladder, no protective sheeting and was not concerned about the damage or mess he left. He cleaned two ducts and showed us the results then attempted to up sell us as so many here have experienced. If so many have been taken advantage of, perhaps a class action suit against this company may be in order to keep them from taking advantage of other consumers. I've lived in Idaho my whole life and recently, I'm seeing more and more rip off companies coming here attempting to take advantage of the good nature of us Idahoans. They have another thing coming. Horrible DO NOT use this company! Cody is thee worst service tech. He damages our house bringing in his equipment. We tried asking what the process was and pricing he became very rude and short. We paid $88 to have 3 vents cleaned on 6ft in. They left the mess all over our floor. He got so aggressive leaving I called the office and they made excuses for him. We tried rescheduling as we paid for 14 vents to be cleaned. They promised they would send a supervisor out. Then Cody called us saying he was on his way!!!! I was so upset that man was not allowed at my residence again! we called the office and asked what happened as the wrong person was showing up and 4hrs early. I asked for a refund and stated we would be willing to pay for the 3 vents that were cleaned. She said they were unable to process a full or partial refins. never use them!!! read more

You may get a 200 dollar quote but will surely be told you have dust mites and mold and get a new quote for thousands. They target the elderly and use scare tactics. They sold me two filters and after eight weeks I have not received them. They won't refund me the money.

I would not recommend this company. They came out cleaned the ducts and the furnace. When cleaning the furnace, they forgot to do something and broke it. I had recently gotten out of the hospital and had no heat. I called them and they said someone would be out by 11am -- they didn't show up until 1pm. They told me the HVAC person would call me. When I didn't get a call I called the HVAC and they were told not to do anything because Idaho Clean Air didn't know how they were going to handle it. They would have left me without heat again had I not followed up. If I hadn't called the HVAC myself, I would have been out of heat again and could have ended back in the hospital all because they didn't do what they promised. Use anyone else. read more

Exact story as others on here. Bait and switch. When I made the appointment the phone girl said they don't give quotes because all you have to do is add up your vents and returns and times that by $8/ each, that will be your cost unless you opt for extras, main trunk line free. What they don't mention is homes apparently have more than 1 main trunk line. I was told I have 6, and one is free. Charged $79/each x 5 for the others. I'm still suspect of this claim, going to investigate further. Told me I have mold, and other contaminants that have been released by the cleaning and I need the lines sanitized. When it was all said and done the bill was $1,177. Lowest option was $543 and full service nearly $1,800. Don't use this company, they're scam artists. read more

I wish that I could recommend this company. This is the same company as Old Faithful Clean Air and Boise Clean Air. They have a few other names too. They keep changing their name when they get bad reviews. They did not keep the first appointment and they did not honor the deals promised. Classic definition of bait and switch. They also did not perform all of the services that they promised, and the outcome was disappointing at best. I am happy to pay higher-end $$$ for top tier service, but this was a quick, cheap, thrown together job, poor workmanship for top dollar. I would really recommend that you stay away from this company. I wish that I had done the research on the other names so that I could have read about the experiences of others. They show you pictures at the end which will be convincing unless you happen to check yourself.
