Recently, I paid $110 for a lift ticket and experienced a day marked by a sense of urgency and some irritability among visitors, which made the experience less enjoyable. In three hours, I was able to make six runs, which was noteworthy given the circumstances. The snow was surprisingly good considering the effects of global warming. The parking lot was very crowded all the way up to Pioneer Lodge, and the volume of visitors was quite remarkable. The Deer Point Express lift experienced several slowdowns due to wear and tear, so I chose to avoid it. On a positive note, the guest services staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. The ski shop staff also assisted me with a binding issue free of charge after some discussion about a potential fee.

Bogus Basin is a great place to learn to ski their ski instructors and Ski Patrol are incredibly well trained, kind, and qualified. I myself learned to ski at bogus basin through their passport program. A program that includes upon completion gear rental for the entire season and a season pass. Bogus basin is one of the few ski resorts that is open for night skiing until 10 PM during regular season depending on snowfall. That means our ski resort is open for 12 hours a day on average. Are food price is a little high? Sure, but not out of the question for what other ski resorts are also charging this year both of the lodges upgraded to accept Apple Pay! There's a new taco Cantina at the renovated Pioneer Lodge, and of course they serve barbecue at the outside stand. Bogus basin has over 32 runs across varying levels several black diamonds, long cat tracks and an awesome beginner area. I love our ski Mountain. I love that we have the access and ability to ski so easily and close to us. I regularly visit bogus basin at least 2 to 3 times a week during the season. In the summer bogus offers, concerts, yoga, and a roller coaster! I highly recommend everyone who visits Boise visits bogus!

Trail took about 2 hours round trip, and the trail was dirt/rocks but easy enough for kids. Bring: water, snacks, appropriate clothes depending on the weather, dog! I brought a beanie, gloves, and warm clothes for the hike in December. I would avoid going on rainy days or if it recently rained. Mud will slow you down. There are little info boards posted along the trails - nice read. Great trail for a short walk. I hear it gets crowded during the weekends and good weather days. Go early!

Frank helped me look us the Specialized Creo 2 Comp 5 ebike online and assisted with ordering a model with my specifications. Once it arrived, George's service department assembled it and adjusted all the dimensions to match my non-ebike road bike. They spent time explaining all the functions of the Creo 2 and, not exaggerating, they were truly excited for me. Cole, the service manager, has been very helpful, as always, instructing me with the process for having them box my Levo for shipment to a buyer. They're truly a multi-service shop and a very friendly staff. I have had exceptional service for the past 9 years and intend to take advantage of their skills and friendship for the remainder of my cycling career.

It was super close to my house too, so we rode my bike every day .. during winter months. I can't do that summer heat bull sh*t lol. I liked working out close to home. So next best choice was..Crunch. It's definitely a little farther but I don't mind and I still get to ride my bike. Two doors down is a bike shop called, George's. I'm very seen this shop for years! Just never went in. I was going to Eagle Bike Shop. Nice guys over there, but little pricey, they have odd hours, and I figured since I was now working out at Crunch, that maybe it was time to check Georgie out. Couple weeks ago, went to put air in my tires and as soon as I detached the little thingy from the tire, can you tell I'm kind of a genius when it comes to everything bikes? So I detached the thingy and all the air just left my tire. I wanted to cry. Stopped into George's to ask what they thought, told me to bring it in. Michael helped me both visits. He basically knew right away what the issue was before even seeing the bike...always impressive when someone knows their sh*t :) So I brought it back the next day and it the tubing inside. He replaced it super fast, was super nice about it. Told us he basically been working with bikes since he was a kid. AND it wasn't crazy expensive at all. Previous bike shop charged me a lot more for something similar last year. I now have another issue on the bike and of course will be taking it to Michael. It's an issue the last shop worked on last year...or so I thought. If they had done the right job, I would think I wouldn't need to get the same thing worked on..almost exa year later. I don't mean to talk shit about them, it's just frustrating. It was expensive as hell, too. I'm sure I'll pay a bit more at George's than my first time going there, but I feel I can trust them a little more. Finding a decent guy to work on your bike, who knows his stuff, won't screw you over, is a hard thing to find. For me, it's like finding a good barber, a good mechanic, etc haha. I'm happy I finally went into this store. Quite the place too. Super super clean, a pretty incredible selection of bikes. From what I looked at and only briefly, the few bikes I looked at were expensive as hell haha. Being cheap, I could never afford a $3000 bike lol. However, my bike is definitely older. Bought it and didn't use it for a LONG time. I use it all the time now. I will eventually need to upgrade it. I'd like to now, but this inflation y'all! It's a killer. I'll wait to see what happens in 2024 haha. Georges is great. I'm sure bike enthusiasts who live in this area, this is their bike shop of choice. Eagle Bikes is located not TOO far from George's, but it's randomly on State. George's is easily accessible from State St. It's in a little shopping plaza with a few other businesses. If you've been here, you know it's a great place. I've been only 2x and already love it. Wish all bike shops had guys like Michael. It would certainly ease the minds of many who are scared to take their bikes in for work. Shit is expensive! Or it can be, rather. Again, so far, I trust this place and I regret not going sooner. Always saw this place and had already created in my head what kind of place it was. Glad they proved me wrong. Boise is a major bike city. We have to love where we take them to get worked on. They set the seat height and the fork, they even put a new seat for me. The tech recommended that I bring it back in after about 6 rides so that they can check to see if anything has loosened up. The sunset view at the top was absolutely stunning, we came on a clear day and could see the entire city blanketed in trees. Such a breathtaking sight and definitely a must-see when visiting Boise. The parking lot was easy to find with plenty of space, making the whole experience even better.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and there were kids soccer games, folks playing tennis, families working out, and all ages hiking the hills. Behind the park is even tons of winding trails for both hiking and biking. While the climb up to the top of the main hill wasn't all that long, it was definitely steep. With the sun beaming down, it felt rather invigorating and provided a nice feeling of accomplishment making it to the top. This park definitely is a special part of town and it's clear that local residents definitely cherish and appreciate it!
