I have been under the hands of Dr. Coleman for 10 years now and have followed her every place shes went! She is an expert at what she does! Dr. Coleman is very personable, makes you feel at ease and truly cares about the goodness of people. I used to be terrified to go to the dentist until I discovered her. Now, I look forward to visiting her and the wonderful staff over at Ideal Dental off of Cibolo. I was a former patient who has since relocated, and I recently reached out to request information about a possible Invisalign refinement. It's been over three weeks, and I still haven't received a response or even a returned call. Truthfully, their service wasn't great when I was a patient, so I can't say I'm surprised. The front desk clerk is nice but the rest of my experiences here haven't been great. The doctor is rude and abrasive with how she handled me. There isn't much education on the status of my health and they push me to buy Invisalign every single time I go in for a cleaning. They also stopped taking my insurance, that's what initially got me looking elsewhere. I just had my first visit with Cibolo Modern Dentistry around the corner and it was such an impressive experience in comparison. Last time I had a visit at ideal dental I waited a long time past my appointment window. When I was taken back they left me in a room for over 30 minutes without doing anything. The Cibolo location needs a serious senior leader review. I came in for appt with dentist in April 2025 and had a new invisalign scan. (Current ones were cutting my gums) Was told I would get a call when they were ready. Never received a call. I called and was told "they couldn't find my aligners and the Dr was no longer there." I came in to be rescanned. Once again, I never received a call. I called about 3 weeks later and they scheduled me to come in. I get to appointment to be told there were NO aligners again. The tech stated "Someone forgot to have dentist sign off and send them in." Once again, I was rescanned. Again, I had to call. Was scheduled, and day before appt, was called and told my appt had to be resheduled because there was No dentist. Then, I was called and told they couldn't find the aligners. This time I asked to speak with a regional manager. I received a call shortly after by a female named Dee (I think that was her name) stating she was a regional manager and was at Cibolo helping. She assured me she would find out where my case was and would get back with me. That was on the 10th of September. Today is the 21st of September. It is 6 MONTHS! No aligners, no call. I've also received random appt messages I've never scheduled. Received "sorry we missed you messages for appts I've changed or rescheduled. Something is clearly disfunctional at this location. This clinic needs to undergo a process improvement. I'm a retired Group Practice Manager for a large organization. This is a small clinic. There are clearly no warm handoffs or oversight there. If you are a leader and say your going to call a patient back do it. This place use to run great. I would find dental care elsewhere. I've never seen same dentist more than twice. read more

I recently canceled my appointment with Ideal Dental due to having traveled to a COVID 19 Delta Variant heavily saturated area, New Orleans, Louisiana. I was subsequently lectured by office staff at which point they informed me I had signed a financial agreement stating I would be charged $50.00 to cancel. After reviewing said financial documents, I observed the fact that it simply stated a fee may be charged; NOT $50.00. As such I challenged the office staff in respect to billing me for goods and products not received as well as a vague financial disclosure. Upon which I was berated and lectured as though I were a child, again this was for canceling my appointment, something which I remain the right to do at any time. Additionally, I was told that I would only be a same day patient & I would never be able to schedule in advance again. I reminded office staff that as I was completing the pre-visit docs I received via text, I had only recently become aware of the COVID-19 doc which I couldn't complete, again due to my recent travels. The staff persisted in lecturing me; I believe they may have fallen under the misconception that they're the only dental office in Cibolo. As such, they can keep their lectures & unnecessary threats of financial sanctions for someone else as I will not tolerate their non-sense. In summary, do yourself a favor & shop around as there is an over abundance of dental offices in Cibolo to choose from, most of which will not disrespect you as a patient & act as though they own your obligation to visit them as a sole dental provider. The business model is poorly run. Had a procedure done six months and they still have not correctly billed the insurance company. Also, they "upcharge" everything and tell patients that they will not do any work unless the entire treatment plan is accepted. Got a second opinion from two other dental offices and was told much of the estimated work did not need to be done. I will And, they have patients sign an agreement saying the patient will pay for any fees not covered by insurance. The problem is that the office does not call the insurance beforehand to find out what cost the patient will incur and then the patient gets a bill in the mail--NOT cool! I will NOT go back. Also, the office staff have high turnover, which indicates poor leadership and working environments. Take your business elsewhere. read more

My wife unfortunately went here twice while we lived in Texas. The office tried to get her to pay out of pocket for an item covered by insurance when she was there in person. When she said she needed to talk to the insurance company before receiving the procedure, the dental office backtracked and said it was covered. She had zero-pain, and they assured her the procedure was necessary and that it was all covered by our insurance. Now she cannot chew hard food on that side of her mouth due to sensitivity where they drilled. In addition to the procedure that was unnecessary, she received a~$900 bill 9-months after we moved. She repeatedly asked them if everything was covered by insurance, and they said yes. Very suspicious that 9-months later we receive a large bill. We are now reaching out to the insurance company to report our experience and notify them of the additional charges UPDATE: After talking to insurance company, the office was denied payment based on photos/x-rays not showing evidence of procedure's necessity. Since they were in network, the bill should not have gone to us since the insurance company refused payment. Hopefully our next dentist can fix my wife's tooth that now hurts after Ideal Dental's procedure. read more

The Staff was very friendly and kind, Dr. Coleman and her assistants were very proficient on telling me exactly what was going on with my children's teeth. In all my years of going to dentist this is the first one to be very detailed and let me know everything that was going on in their mouths. I was shocked at the information. The Office Manager was a very kind lady showing me my detailed report and explaining everything in a professional manner. I came here for my 6 month clean up because my new insurance didn't cover my old dentist. Everything was fine at first but later in the visit the staff was starting to become rude. I waited two hours after my scheduled appointment to even be seen. The dentist, did not get her name, was very rough and made my whole mouth bleed and this was just suppose to be a cleaning nothing else. And after i couldn't handle the pain, i pulled away and she through a fit saying she is not going to continue and put the blame on me. As soon as i got up, i spit all the blood out too and my mom saw. I would not recommend coming here at all. The next appointment we had been waiting an hour and still had not seen the dentist. I had a routine dental visit today and Dr. Coleman and the staff made me feel so much at ease about my visit (since I'm such an anxious person).I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door by the front staff and they were very quick to passing me off to the back office. The assistants are very friendly, and very professional. Dr. Coleman has such a sweet soul and she was so gentle while doing my cleaning and treatment I needed. I went to Ideal Dentist to have a deep cleaning this morning and although they had scheduled my appointment with the oral surgeon, they did not complete their schedule to include the deep cleaning that I needed, although they confirmed the deep cleaning appointment two weeks ago when I made it. The dentist convinced my wife that she needed Invisalign braces so they contacted my insurance company to get authorization. They then had us pay $1700 to get started. While the prostheses were being made, the insurance company told them that they would not cover them because I had a waiting period before those types of services would be covered. Instead of contacting us to let us know, they waited until they received the prostheses and had her come in to put them in. Only after the dentist did the work did they tell us that we now owed $2200! They were deliberately dishonest. The dentist may do good work, but the office staff lacks any integrity. OK listen up, I HATE going to the dentist. Spent 26 years in the Air Force being directed to go. Retired 6 years to date, yes, today is my six year anniversary! I tried Ideal Dental Cibolo. The staff and dentist were so awesome and patient. To my surprise I needed a crown and two fillings. Left with a cleaning, temporary crown and follow up appointment. This place is extremely unprofessional. I came here because my other dentist was too expensive, even though they had great service. I've had a few services at ideal dental here, the first was good, the second two pretty much sucked. I can see clearly the quality between this place and a dentist that charges a little more. They are rough, not very nice, and unprofessional. Most of the people that work here seem young and have no idea what they're doing. I told my family member about my experiences before he went in for a service. He left in the middle of his cleaning for the same reasons that happened to me. The dentist hurt him, made him bleed a lot, and seemed pissed off that he had to do the cleaning because they were short on hygienists. He even said he had never been hurt before or bled like this ever. And he's over 50! That's a lot of trips to the dentist to know he's never been hurt like that! We are not coming back here, and I recommend the same to you. They said "leave us a good review on yelp!" Every time I went and you can see why. People are having the same bad experiences. The main reason I have chosen to do a 3 star is because of the customer service of the front desk staff. I had an appointment at 9am yesterday for my wisdom teeth removal which I promptly arrived at 8:50am and was told by the front desk staff to have a seat and I would be called back shortly... I waited over 30 min and went back to the front desk to ask a question.... Apparently I was never actually checked in when I first walked in. Long story short, I waited an entire 2 hours before being seen, then they put in my prescriptions under my husband's birthday so I was not able to pick them up, I called this morning to figure it out and the individual I spoke to was a bit rude about stating they fixed it yesterday about 3 times within the 5 min phone conversation as if I were a child not listening... problem is, neither the front desk staff nor the pharmacy bothered to call yesterday to inform me the issue was resolved so the rude tone and multiple comments about fixing it yesterday was completely uncalled for and unnecessary... I do want to comment on the amazing customer service of both the individual that brought me back and did the questionnaire, she has an amazing attitude and was extremely kind, as well as the surgeon that included me in the process of doing the IV (I have extremely difficult veins) and actually asked if there is anywhere others have been successful, most drs would just use me as a pin cushion instead of asking... he did an excellent job on my wisdom teeth and I have minimal pain. read more

Dr. Coleman is very personal with all her patients and makes everyone feel very comfortable. I appreciate the fact that she takes the time to explain the procedures and any concerns that she has with a persons oral health. She makes a specific point to educate patients and to make sure they understand the importance of good oral home care. The staff is also amazing, Melissa (the top dental assistant) is on top of everything and makes sure the patient is comfortable and has everything they need. Onnika (the office manager) is very kind and friendly and takes her time to explain the financial aspect of the treatment that was planned. It's nice to know there are still great dental offices out there with trustworthy caring people who do the thing no mater how busy they get. Dr Coleman was EXCELLENT! However, the office staff is ridiculous. They ONLY do certain procedures during certain hours and WILL NOT budge from that. I was not able to go in during the hours they could complete my root canal and my permanent crown, therefore i will have a temp Crown for about 2 months that almost 4 weeks longer than it's meant to last. Because i did not call to confirm my appointment they refused to see me and I had to reschedule. It's just not a very flexible or accommodating office. It's a shame too because Dr Coleman is so great. If i had not already paid for the service I would totally be looking for someone else to complete the procedure. read more

I got my wisdom teeth removed here on February 2nd with Dr. Nagella the surgeon. It went well that friday morning but he did not prescribed me any pain killers so i came home and after a while it started hurting bad. Anyway we called and went to pharmacy to take the medicine. I thought everything was going well until everything healed except my left lower lip that is still numb. He told me it is normal and asked me to come back in 3 months. I came back there this May. He saw me and just touch my gums for 5 seconds and he told me that I should wait 3 more months for it to go away. I said it's been a while it bothers me. He said to me " just wait 3 months if it doesnt go away, you just gotta live with it" and that is not professional. I came there i was all fine and now i have this. He did not help me at all. I asked for root canal but he disagreed. He did not even recommend me to see a specialist. That was a malpractice and I believe in Karma. I have enough evidence to file a law suit. I called Ideal Dentistry in Cibolo twice to schedule a first time appointment. The first time I called to schedule an appointment their representative put me on hold for a few minutes. When she returned to the phone she informed me that their computer was down and that she would call me back tomorrow, which would have been Friday. I didn't get a call back Friday. Nor did I get a call back the following week. So I called Ideal again a week later to once again try to schedule an appointment. I went through the exact same routine with Ideal representative. She put me on hold for a few minutes then returned and told me their computer was down and that she would call me back once their computer was back up. I asked her how long did she expect their computer to be down, she simply stated she didn't know. Needless to say I never did received a return phone call. Sound suspicious. At the very least, extremely poor customer service. I definitely would not recommend Ideal dentistry in Cibolo TX. read more

As a military spouse we travel all over and I am continuously changing dental providers. Usually it is "hit or miss" sort of thing but then I found Ideal Dental in Cibilo, TX! Could not rave more about their support, wonderful staff, how caring they are, communication is so much better than I normally experience... I could go on forever. I HIGHLY recommend this location.
