Not only did I leave feeling that I did not receive a thorough cleaning, but a procedure was performed without my approval or informed consent. I was then billed for that procedure. When I questioned the charge, I was threatened to pay rather than having my concerns addressed. I escalated the matter to the central billing department, and they acknowledged my concerns and advised me to continue working with the office to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the office chose not to do so. What disappointed me most was the manager's attitude. After years of loyalty and spending thousands of dollars at this practice,(my husband's teeth concerns are still horrible despite many crowns replaced here) ... I felt I was treated without the respect and professionalism I expected over a $100 charge for a procedure I did not authorize and did not believe was necessary. Especially reminding them to do only what my insurance covered. I have since transferred my care to Texas Dental office seguin. Although it is farther from my home, I gladly make the drive because I am treated with dignity, respect, professionalism, and kindness. Plus free teeth whiting kit for my loyalty. That level of patient care has reminded me what excellent customer service should look like. It's unfortunate that a long-standing relationship ended this way, but every patient deserves to be informed, respected, and asked for consent before any procedure is performed. I wanted to give this review a negative 5 star but that wasn't an option here. THE OWNER'S RESPONSE WAS CONDESCENDING AND ONCE AGAIN DEFLECTING THE ISSUE INSTEAD OF ADDRESSING IT....SEVERE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AS WELL AS THEIR OFFICE MGR. I called in to schedule an appointment in the mid-May, and I told them very clearly I have Tricare dental and asked them if they accept Tricare. They said yes they do accept Tricare and then set up my appointment on June 22. I showed up and checked in, then the front desk asked me to pay $100 copay, I told them Tricare covers 100% on the annual exam and x-ray and cleaning twice a year. Then they told me oh we are NOT in the Tricare network and you need to pay a copay $100! WHAT!!! WHY DID NOT TELL ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED THE FIRST TIME???!!!! I said then I do not want to proceed with the appointment and about to walk out, the manager saw that I was about to leave, she said oh I can just bill your insurance and waive the copay, since you are already here, I do not want to turn you away. We will just do the x-ray and you can take the images to another dental which is in the network. I accepted and proceeded with the x-ray. I was SO WRONG!! I really really should have left! Later of the day I found another dentist on Tricare Dental Program website and called them and told them what happened earlier today. I was told that: 1) they would need to do their own full mouth X-ray and not accepting what other dentist has done due to liability 2) Tricare only covers full mouth x-ray once every year, I would need to pay out of pocket for the second one. This place wants to make money so bad that they totally abused my insurance coverage! They knew clearly I had Tricare and they could not do any cleaning or needed treatment for me! Even they waived the $100 copay but they submitted $$$ claim to my insurance! Yeah, they got paid from insurance! Now I have to pay for another X-ray out of pocket! Sometimes we cannot afford to pay up front so we located another practice recommended by a friend which will submit the bill to our insurance and allow us to pay the balance. On August 16, 2025, I had a permanent crown placed on my right front tooth. During the next 2 weeks…read moreI had mild then progressively worsening pain, redness, and swelling on that tooth. I had chemical allergy testing done and it was determined that I WAS allergic to the compounds used for my temporary crown. I provided that information to the dentist on Sept 22, 2025, who assured me the materials to be used for the permanent crown would be different than the materials that were used for the temporary crown. I started having an allergic reaction in the car on my way home, that got progressively worse; the worst being extreme swelling and redness of my lips, gums, and face and constant peeling lips. I contacted Ideal Dentals corporate office, gave them all the information, requested a refund to my Care Credit account, and requested my dental records. I have not received either of those. I went back to my allergist, whose office called Ideal Dental. The office at Ideal Dental told my allergists office that the materials used for my permanent crown were the same materials that were used for my temporary crown. THEY BASICALLY USED MATERIALS THAT THEY KNEW I WAS ALLERGIC TO, AND LIED ABOUT IT. I filed a formal complaint with TSBDE (Texas State Board of Dental Examiners) in October 2025. Their preliminary investigation warranted a bump up to a full investigation, the result of which I'm still waiting on. It's been almost a year and TSBDE has still not resolved this issue. I held off writing an online review, but I've been waiting too long. Particularly since there is a two-year deadline for filing a dental malpractice suit.

(Strahler was the previous owner, and before that, Penshorn to clear up confusion in how it may be listed on Google, and Dr. Penshorn still works there ). They assisted me through the process of applying for Care Credit and Alphaeon so I could pay for my services, emailing the links to make it quick and easy. I chose to get a full set of x-rays done (but I had the option to do a limited exam for only my problem tooth if I preferred or had limited funds). I'll be coming back in one week to get my temporary crown & deep cleaning, and 4 weeks later I'll get my permanent crown, which is porcelain, not silver, so I can still have a confident smile. They are all very personable, friendly, welcoming, and real. Every person. I have complete confidence in this team and the dentist to give me the best care. The office is clean and inviting. They offer complimentary products to brush your teeth in the lobby bathroom before your appointment (if you so wish) so you don't feel embarrassed coming in after lunch. I keep my mouth fairly clean and haven't had mouth pain for 4 years. 2 weeks ago one of my fillings fell out. It's not painful, but the edges are sharp against my tongue. I called Oasis up and made an appointment to fix my filling. They already have my records, and maybe I'd get back into the habit of regular cleanings. They saw me 2 days after my filling fell out. Awesome. I go to my appointment. They take xrays and ask me questions about the severity of my missing filling. I've got no pain, it just needs to be replaced. They say they don't have time to fix it today and that I need another appointment. Apparently it'll take an hour. I was hoping to get it done, but no biggie. They can see me in a week. I take time off work to get my filling replaced. On my way out of my neighborhood they call and tell me they're pushing me back. Ok. Things happen. I get seated in a room 15 minutes after my appointment. Now my blood pressure is 2 points too high. They use one of those cheap electronic BP cuffs. I'm sitting in this dentist chair hoping my BP drops so I can get this work done that I tried to schedule a week and a half ago. They take my blood pressure 2 more times with the cheap cuff, tell me a few things about ADA regulations, and boot me out the door. I worked in healthcare. When a cheap BP cuff reads high, usually someone takes a manual pressure which is more accurate. I was 2 points high, probably at least partly caused by them delaying my appointment and now they won't treat me. If you didn't want me as a patient because I stopped routine cleanings 4 years ago, have the decency to tell me and not waste my time at 2 appointments. You could have told me last week that I should find a new dentist and I would have understood. Dr Galles may be an ok dentist but he is not an ok person.

In and out and on to work. Well one morning I didn't get taken back until like 7:12 and I complained about it. Dr. Enriquez said it was her fault as she ran long doing morning prayers. Fine, but a lot of places will cancel your appointment if you run late or charge you a fee. Fair is fair and I liked getting there early so there's no waiting for either of us. Another time I paid in cash and the girl said I could have any change because it was locked up in the office and I said that was unprofessional. She said I'd have to come back later in the day. Weird. So moments later Dr. Enriquez comes around the corner with the key, opens the office and gets my change but also has a mini counseling session with me about what I said. So was the girl at the counter just afraid to ask for the keys? The last thing was my mask. The whole idea of wearing one to a dental appointment is just mental. I took my daughter and they didn't like the one I was wearing and I declined the one I was offered. In May of 2020 when I heard Abbott was making a mask order I went to JoAnne's and bought a yard of eyelash lace and some elastic. I used it for a face covering and it actually did the same thing as every other mask. So I guess after that, much like Andy on Shawshank when Tommy got murdered, they decided it was time to part ways and sent me a letter that my family's dental needs would be better served elsewhere. And they have been at Dual Arc.
