If I could give zero stars I would. I never leave reviews but this place is terrible. Charged me for a root canal and crown, never went back because the person who put my temporary on had no idea what he was doing, was extremely nervous, and took about 3 different temporaries to make me a temporary crown. I got in the car and looked at my crown and it looked ridiculous. The crown instantly broke as soon as I left. Told myself I would never go back there. During my root canal the TV was broken.. never offered to put me in another room. When I called once to reschedule the rest of my root canal because my anxiety was super high that day the lady had the nerve to tell me to go to an urgent care and get anxiety medication so that I could finish my root canal and acted liked like it was a huge inconvenience. Clearly someone who has never dealt with mental health issues. They now won't refund me for my unfinished root canal OR the permanent crown that was charged to me but never received. My new dentists were kind enough to give me a new one at no charge because they understand how corporate dental chains can be, and told me to never go back. They don't have to worry about that. My new dentists have called and tried to ask them to refund my crown but now they are just ignoring them. I've tried calling and the lady at the desk gave me nothing but attitude and told me she would give me a call back. It's been 3 weeks, nothing. This place is amazing. My wife has been coming here for her bracer and we love it so much that we decided to move the whole family here for dental care. They do everything in one office from dental cleaning to braces, etc. The waiting area is like a hotel, with coffee and water with tons of reading material and tv shows. Staff is really friendly and really clean. We went for a regular clean up and they are very detail on what they do. The oral hygienist is amazing and the doctor is so friendly. The front desk lady was really nice, but that was the only positive thing about my experience. I had wisdom teeth pain so I booked an online appointment for 2 pm and then I got a text saying that time wasn't actually available. Their online paperwork is lengthy and inconvenient compared to other dental offices. I wasn't even shown my x rays and saw the dentist for about 2 minutes. The lady asked me where to send my prescription and told me she gave me a paper with the instructions for my antibiotic. My appointment was on a Saturday, the prescription was never sent so I had to wait until Monday to get in contact with them. I was then told that the prescription was given to me and that I was to go to my local pharmacy to get it filled. Which is slightly inconvenient, but should've been communicated to me (why even ask what pharmacy I prefer?) The whole thing just felt like I was dealing with salesman as opposed to medical professionals. Will not be returning. read more

I do not know much about the dentists at this location, but overall my experience is not so good with the front office visit. I had to wait too long almost 45-50 to get to the dentist. I was almost done with all paper work 10-15 before the time of my appointment and then after they took another 45-50 minutes. During the wait, I approached front desk several times and they even do not knew the reasons for the delay. Other side, is not good experience, with their back office process too. I am dealing with them since August/September 2019, they are working to get me pre-approvals and estimates from my insurance company for my treatment. They have estimates from insurance company since November but they have not followed up with me even single time. I have to follow up couple of times a weeks to find out the status. The estimate numbers from insurance vs their numbers are way too far off. Their estimates is low and my out of pocket ask is 5 times more then insurance's out of pocket cost. They even asked me to to pay 10% (of total cost) up front to hold appointment .... why do I do that with the lousy service and lock myself with the bad front and back office staff. I am not sure, but certainly Think twice for this place before going for the treatment. read more

I originally came into this office for a second dentists' opinion about getting a tooth implant. I'm so glad I did because the dentist I met up with gave me another option (getting a root canal and crown lengthening) as opposed to spending +$5000 on getting a tooth extraction and implant. She helped me save my tooth since I'm still young. This was the smarter and cheaper option. The office staff are all nice as well and there's never much of a wait time whenever I go in. I would recommend this dental office to my friends! Update: The dentist who did my root canal is Dr. Jennifer Neimann and she gave me a follow up call just to check up on me post-operation. Warning! I have had mixed feeling about this location but after today we will not be back! They said my young son needed to have 2 teeth removed the day of his check up apt, I needed to discuss with my husband but they were pressuring me into doing it immediately! We were not prepared to have the procedure that day but they kept trying to have me do it that day. I said we will need to discuss over The Weeknd so they scheduled for Monday they are closed Sunday's. We decided to get a second opinion and called first thing Monday. They said because we canceled we now owe $50 because we didn't call over the weekend when they were closed and left a message. I pleaded with them since the pandemic had hit us hard but they are only concerned with their money not their patients. I would give 0 stars if I could! read more

Currently going through the Invisalign process with this team and I'm loving it! They've been really understanding of my work schedule and when I lose my trays. They worked with me on financing and have listened to my about any discomfort I may have been experiencing. Honestly, I love coming in to this office. Because of the Invisalign, I basically live there and everyone is super friendly, remembers my name, remembers past encounters, etc. The doctors really do take the time to explain everything and are just as excited as you are to see results! read more

This office was recommended by a client and the staff was super nice. The offices were clean and I liked the TVs in the treatment rooms. The prices were good. EXPERIENCE: I was really shocked to receive my cleaning from the dentist. Yes the actual dentist...when was the last time that happened...NEVER. The photo's and x-trays that were taken were displayed on the TV in the treatment room. Super Kool. The NEGATIVES: the cleaning was old fashioned (the scraping not the new ultra sonic). They told me I was done and I'm like "you don't floss" OOPS the assistant was suppose to do that and she must have been new because she didn't know how to floss right. When I questioned her technique, she sent in someone else. FINAL THOUGHT: I left without a take home kit, like a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. Disappointing. No discussion of teeth whitening. Disappointing. I DID made a 6 month cleaning follow up so I'll give them another try. AND their price to fix my crown was $150 less than my old Dentist. SCORE!! read more

I've been a patient at Ideal Smile for four years. Martha Day was a wonderful dentist and she is the reason my family went there. Since she left, there's been a couple new dentists, turnover seems to be a problem with this chain of dentist offices. I was informed October 2019 that their prior dentist put my crown on incorrectly and plaque built up and now I need my tooth removed. The dentist wasn't apologetic and because I missed one six month appointment, they would not take responsibility for their mistake. I reached out to MetroCare insurance, who is their dental insurance company and they said they would help but I haven't heard a thing. To add insult to injury, I got my tooth evaluated at the Frisco West office by their periodontist Paula Ortis and my treatment plan was $11,425.80 for a single implant. I had quotes from several other, more reputable dental offices from between $4,770 and $6,000. This has been a very stressful situation and it's unfortunate that there's no accountability in this industry. read more

I have been looking for a dentist since my last didn't cover my insurance and I discovered Ideal Smiles through sponsorship with the Dallas Sidekicks Dancers. Paula cleaned my teeth and took X-rays, Patty performed my laser whitening and Dr. Day examined me. Over at "IDEAL SMILE'S" they have a SECRET WEAPON, and as much as I 'DON'T' want to let the cat out of the bag, as it has proven to be life changing for me, I do realize that keeping him to myself is just plain SELFISH. Okay, ~gulp~ here goes nothing- NO NO NO I just can't do it!! As sweat begins to glisten upon my brow, I stare intently at a dull black key board, every key bears a letter, and every letter bears what could only be construed as- a spell. With face firmly squished in right hand, sweat dripping profusely down my forearm, I can only . . . OH ALRIGHT-Y THAN, geesh, take note cause I won't repeat myself- he goes by the name' ZACK', yes 'ZACK' and he is my personal dental assistant, "ZACK ATTACK" and If you've ever experienced him amid your voyage, you know, the long dreary one better known to the seekers of elsewhere as 'dental chaos', you've already been awakened. He is literally a GOD send, and this review is way overdue. In my opinion ZACK is the new face of dentistry, and I'm not just talking about his cuteness, which OOZES from every piece of him, he is like a young Dr. House hiding in an Assistant's lab coat; HEY, don't get me wrong, a DENTAL ASSISTANT is truly the eyes and ears of Dentistry, he sees all and he hears all, and if he's ZACK he is over qualified, which makes him da da da dah "THE SECRET WEAPON." He and Dr. Neiman work so well together, and she is a top Dentist by all means, she and ZACK treat people like family, you know, not like the long lost family members of Facebook that only know you when the computer is on, OH HECK NO! ZACK seemed to analyze my every move, from the words that spewed from my mouth like chunky gravy being poured through a colander with tiny holes, to all my hesitant reactions that appeared more like a kitten with little boots made from duct tape with the sticky part on the outside, not that I really know anything about that ~shameful smirk~ I mean, I would never do that to a kitty, ANYWAY- he did this with the utmost respect and compassion, and from it he composed a customized experience that was literally catered to ME. I felt as if I'd known him since childhood, okay maybe that's a little too, oh how do I put this= LOCO?, and I really don't want to frighten ZACK, who truly is in the medical field to make a difference. He goes above and beyond in his calling, to make sure the patient is completely FREE of FEAR, STRESS, PAIN, and DOUBT. I used to panic from start to finish with even just a routine cleaning. I had pain in my mouth for so long, I'd forgotten how it felt to be free of it, and I had actually stopped eating certain foods that I love, that invoke my soul to soar, like Mamaw Ida's white gravy and homemade biscuits like billowy clouds that stuck to my teeth like glue and filled the tiny craters, where tiny craters did not belong . . . OH BUT I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW, THE PAIN IS GONE, along with all the other Dental Care providers by any other name that doesn't start with a= Z and end with a- K and belong to the IDEAL SMILES office that I go to. Before IDEAL SMILES my life had changed, and I had unfortunately just grown to except what was left. My dental care had become an ongoing stress that had built up to a panic, and I hadn't even realized it until I met ZACK, and experienced what true dental CARE felt like. I have learned, and so will you, that with an extremely capable person at the helm, such as ZACK, and Dr. Neiman -of course, that going to the Dentist isn't just about fixing a tooth, as it is about fixing the bearer of those teeth. Think about it, you only have one set throughout your adult life, and that set has the biggest impact on your entire being, physically and mentally. With all the nerves in the human oral cavity, the pain can be profound, not to mention the isolation as a result of THE SMELL that closely resembles- awe I won't say it here, or THE LOOK on everyone's face as they purposefully avoid getting near you as they pass eyeballing your rotting nubs in a look of disgust. I recommend using a different area dental office. My insurance covers routine preventative dental at 100%. That is what I scheduled. When I went to checkout, I was told that does not cover the kind of x-ray they did today and so I had to pay them $100. I also was told that my fillings would be covered at 50% and would I like to do them now. After I declined, she told me that there is a waiting period for fillings with my insurance. I feel this office is doing more to profit more. Not the kind of place I trust for a dental office. read more

I would not recommend Ideal Smiles of Allen. My wife went there today for the first time for a check up. They took x-ray's and recommended a few cavities to be filled. The cavities were not major and could wait till next year when our Flex spend account was replenished to cover the $300 charge. After she told them that she was going to reschedule the procedure for the cavities, they told her that they would not be able to do the cleaning on her teeth today due to them being out of time as it was lunch time. If my wife would have agreed to the cavity procedure they would have stayed and done that and the cleaning. I feel like this dentist is only in it for the money and doesn't have our best interest at heart. We will not be going back and will not recommend this dentist to any of our friends or acquaintances. read more

As a new patient who lost a crown this morning I set an appointment for 4:00pm. I was told to be as early as possible, maybe 30 min early so I could complete paperwork. I ran into a traffic jam on northbound 75 putting me 10 min behind schedule, then as I'm turning onto Stacy Rd, I get a call from the receptionist wondering where I am. I told her I'm probably 5 min away. Five minutes later, I call the office because, having never been to this office and not familiar with the layout of the mall, I needed final directions. Rather than provide them, I'm told by the receptionist that I need to reschedule because there are other patients waiting. What the hell kind of service is this? I'm in pain, but that's okay I guess. Horrible tactics, this practice does not care about patients or their needs, they only care about selling expensive treatment plans. I went in for a routine cleaning and because I did not want to pay for the expensive deep cleaning at this time, they would not do a basic yearly cleaning. They then billed me for taking xrays my insurance would not cover under a routine exam. I feel I should have been notified that this were not the normal routine xrays. I asked the dentist a question about some possible oral surgical problems I thought I might need and he just brushed me off, when I got to the front desk to check out, I had to ask the receptionist for a referral to an oral surgeon myself. Every time we have gone we have seen a different dentist. They have a new product to sell each time ... and yes, there is a sales pitch each time. The final straw was when we showed up to cancelled appointments! They said it is a REQUIREMENT of their patients to call and either leave a message or speak to someone to KEEP an appointment. We pulled our family of 5 out of there and cancelled all our scheduled orthodontics. Horrible business practices. read more

Wow....what an experience! That is what it is all about...right??? The customer's experience. Well I must say, that my experience at Ideal Smiles was unforgettable, in a good way. This was my first visit to this dentist office. I was kindly greeted by the front desk manager and offered water and coffee. Ms. Karen brought me back to the room and was so kind and helpful. She explained everything that was about to happen during the procedure and answered any questions that I had. Now at first, it felt like your normal dental visit, but after the first 20 minutes, it was like a transformation, and I felt like I was in the presence of true friends and family. Ms. Karen and I talked about life, kids, and T.V., something that I have been deprived of for a while, since my television time mainly consisted of cartoons with my 4 kiddos. Ms. Karen made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, like a loving mom! Then I was introduced to the dentist Dr. Jennifer Neiman. Dr. Neiman was great! She was so patient, kind, and loving. You can tell that she is passionate about her craft and cares about each one of her clients. Karen and Dr. Neiman worked so well together! These ladies are remarkable. I did not feel any pain during the procedure, and they made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. Not only did the procedure go well, but the check out process was handled with true care and love. The entire staff makes it their goal for each and every customer to receive 100% satisfaction. Not only did this office gain one new customer, but because they were such a blessing, I signed all 4 of my children up as well. So Ideal Smiles gained 5 new clients in a day! I made appointments 2 weeks in advance for my husband and myself to both have our teeth cleaned. First time to this office but my insurance covers free cleaning..so we went. Our appointments were at 12:40 and 1:40 pm, it was 1:30 before I was even seen, and after 2:30 when my husband was finally seen. Initially they took about 45 minutes worth of x-rays, then had a dental hygienist come in tell us all the reasons why they couldn't clean our teeth. She kept using the example: " It's like of you had diabetes, I couldn't give you Tylenol, I have to treat the problem". She said that about 4 times to each of us...Then she stated to me I would have to have a special cleaning the insurance wouldn't cover and then return every 6 weeks. They said I have what might possibly the beginning stages of gum disease but we can catch it now ( It's only been 12 months since I last went to the dentist and then I had a cleaning and route canal). So on to my husband: they say his teeth are worse than mine and he would also need a more specific cleaning where they go in and clean his mouth in "quadrants" and of course each one would need to be done separately and insurance would not cover his cleanings either. My cleaning was estimated at $375, and my husband's cleaning was $875 for one side of his mouth, and $350 for the other...We were there until 4:45. No one got their teeth cleaned, they just took x-rays of our dirty mouths and came back with pages and pages worth of work and expenses that insurance would probably more than likely, 100% not pay.. Clearly they are all about the money and seeing how they can get the most. Most places clean your teeth( since it's covered anyway) and then give you a plan for any other work that needs to be done. This was awful! My route canal experience with Mint Dentistry was more pleasant than this. Waste of my time and the $300 worth of x-rays they billed our insurance for. Will NEVER GO BACK!!! Their a bunch of hacks, stay away they'll hack your teeth up and charge you for it. I had a root canal and crown done 8 months ago and because dr Anderson is such a a$$hole he missed 3 out of the 4 canals and 8 months later I had to have the tooth pulled cause he botched it up so badly it couldn't be saved.
