I ran into billing issues with BCBS Dental, but we discovered that the address of the office I went to, had not been added to covered addresses in the BCBS system. I am thrilled with the new management/dentist at Stonelodge Dental. I am always nervous when there is a change in providers, but this one was a very positive one. My 16 year old daughter is autistic and it requires patience to work with her and get a good cleaning. Dr. Basit is very calm and works very well with my daughter. ALL-ON-4 at STONE LODGE DENTAL in McKinney 20 years ago, I had radiation to my head and neck. Most of my saliva glands were destroyed forever. The lack of saliva turned my mouth acidic on a 24-hour basis. Two decades later, my teeth were starting to crumble...... and crumble they did. To the point where almost all my teeth had some level of infection at the root. Dental pain became as normal as utility bills. Only the pain didn't come just once a month, It lasted all month! By the end of 2019, I knew I had to do something, but what? Spend $30K to piecemeal together some semblance of a smile? $3,000 at a time over the next decade? What about the dental pain during this process? Can I endure it? When I speak to my neighbors, do I say " Hey, check out my new TOOTH...I'm getting another one next year!" Do I chew on ONE side until....... well, you get the picture. So, I had a serious "sit-down with the man behind the curtain" (ME) and decided to dig into retirement funds and go with the all-on-4 procedure. But where? A dental "chain"? Do I really want to have a ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL smile? Not really, so I decided to go with a private dentist who would be able to customize my smile. I chose to do the procedure at Stone Lodge Dental.... for several reasons. I knew I wanted a personalized approach to my situation. A "factory" smile just wasn't for me. Dr. Prida uses state-of-the-art equipment to do the analysis. I liked that. Dr. Prida also took the time to consult with me to alleviate any questions or issues I had about the all-on-4 process, start to finish. I really appreciated that. He even put in an implant for free to show me how painless it really was. My fears were quite diminished at this point. He went ABOVE and BEYOND for me...no joke. After the initial tooth extractions at Stone Lodge Dental, I knew I made the right choice. Let me tell you why. As I've explained, my teeth were crumbling. They had to be removed piece by piece. A scheduled 4-hour tooth extraction process took Dr. Prida 8 hours to complete. Simple math tells us that it's already 4:30PM...time to go home, new teeth tomorrow, right? Nope...the fine folks at Stone Lodge Dental STAYED ANOTHER 7-1/2 HOURS! Dr. Prida walked my daughter and I out to our car at midnight. And me with my new teeth, I couldn't have been happier! (but I certainly was loopy from the anesthesia!) LONG STORY SHORT...I've never even heard of a dentist staying with a patient 16 hours to complete a procedure. If your dentist would do this for you, stick with that dentist! If you have any doubts, check out Dr. Prida. He is the consummate dental professional. He and his staff will not leave you hanging...I can certainly attest to that.... I was expecting horrific pain from the tooth extractions the next day. Dr. Prida introduced pain medication into my I.V. drip. I can, in all honesty say I had ZERO PAIN from my tooth extractions. 100% TRUE! I WAS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED!!! Now I have my new permanent zirconia teeth and I couldn't be happier!... HIGHLY recommend Dr. Prida for the ALL-ON-4 treatment... Really, I should have done this a decade ago, my bad. I went to Stonelodge Dental last June to get an upper partial made and two extractions. Due to one of the most unpleasant office visits I've ever had in any type of medical practice when I went in for the cast and extractions, I called and cancelled the upper partial with Stonelodge. They told me that they could only refund the money I paid for the deductible by a check. I insisted that they charge my credit card back immediately. I got the partial from another dentist with excellent service, however, their office called me and told me that Stonelodge already filed the insurance claim and were paid on the partial I cancelled, and I'm not covered for the one I actually received. Another headache on top of the one I left the office with. If I could give a negative rating, I certainly would. I can't imagine that there's a worse dental office in McKinney, TX. P.S. Just received a voice mail from Stonelodge Dental telling me that it will take two months, TWO MONTHS, to refund the money back to the insurance company. Seriously, you want me to believe that in 2022 it takes two months to process a refund back to the insurance company, huh. read more

This was my first visit! The service was great and I have no complaints. The entire staff was very nice and made me feel comfortable (and even beautiful haha). The intention of this first visit was to reduce my gum lines to expose more teeth and Dr. Prida surprised me with an alternate/permanent method thanks to his great knowledge. He used to be a Mechanical Engineer, so he pays great attention to detail and rebuilding what's broken. Also, in the past with other private offices and Dental chains I have experienced pain during procedures due to numbing medicine not having a strong effect on me. The Stone Lodge team made sure that I was pain free before they got started! I was also good to drive myself home afterwards. I'm excited to go back to remove my stitches next week and for preventive work in the future. read more

I have been here several times from cleanings/check-ups to orthodontic evaluations and every experience is consistent- friendly staff who truly care. they take the time to educate me, thoroughly explain recommended treatments, they offer options but don't sell or pressure, they are honest and genuinely feel like friends. High tech equipment, thoughtful spa like feel to the spaces (waiting area and even treatment rooms). Excellent (and pain free) dental work. It's actually FUN for me to go. So much that I still go even though I moved over a half hour away. I love this place and the people and won't ever go anywhere else. Highly recommend. read more

Dentist is not a certified pediatric dentist not certified in orthodontics PLEASE seek second opinion before starting treatment. My experience with this clinic was less than average. After getting a second opinion i asked the clinic to send x rays to the pediatric dentist and they were very reluctant. The treatment diagnosed by Dr. Prida was not medically necessary. read more

Dr. Prida is a fraud. I went in for a cleaning and check-up. He proceeded to tell me I had cavities in nine of my teeth and it would cost $2400 to repair. I was very skeptical since I've only had one cavity in my entire life ( I'm 39 years old), so I went for a second opinion. Turned out, I had NO cavities. Dr. Prida was attempting to charge me for a bunch of work I did not need. Please do not go here. He does not need to be practicing dentistry. Waiting room is about a 2 hour wait each time we have visited. It takes an additional 25 minutes to find the appointment because they always lose the appointment scheduling which is sad because they send reminder texts but when you get there they never can find you on the schedule. Last time my son was scheduled for a cleaning and they DID NOT clean his teeth. I found out because my husband said all they did was check the incisions on his old removed wisdom teeth. But the appointment was to clean his teeth and they didnt even do a cleaning so we had to reschedule and i refused to pay another copay because i already paid one.They made an excuse about hiring a new office manager. This is the absolute worst dental office ive ever seen. They are disorganized and confused. Nobody there has a clue whats going on. Im transfering our records to a new dentist. And by the way the dentist is always late and he told me its because he rins back and forth to different dental offices. Pitiful. read more

Although the people were nice the dentist did not listen. We were referred from another dentist and when we went in we told them which tooth was giving my son the pain and problems but instead of listening or checking he just proceeded with what the referral said, which was not the same tooth. Then when I went to get his records, again, instead of listening they just tried to explain why he was right and he did the right tooth. Needless to say we went to a different dentist (even further away) and the tooth that was bothering my son needed root canal as well. She performed it and he now is finally out of pain. He was hurting so much (mind you hes 15yr about 200lb and 6ft) that it kept him up at night and had him in tears. He dreads dentists now after all of the crap we've had tp go through. I think this dentist is arrogant and if he continues to NOT listen to his patients he will loose them all. His staff can only cover for him so much. read more
