I've been going here for a few years. I called 2 weeks ago and made an appointment for today at 10:30a. for a routine cleaning I took the day off work and scheduled appointments. I realized I didn't get a reminder email/call so I gave them a call this morning to confirm my appointment. The lady on the phone asked if I could come in at 9:30. That would have only given me 20 minutes to get there. I asked, is my appointment not scheduled for 10:30? She said it's actually 10am. I knew that was inaccurate but obliged. I got there at 10am. I sat there until 10:30 before I was called back. When I got back there, the tech said I was scheduled because I was having pain. I said no, I'm just here for a cleaning. He informed me that there's no way they could do a cleaning today and I was scheduled for something else. We both walked back to the front and he and the front desk went back and forth about what's scheduled and what could and couldn't be done. I told them to just cancel me and I would just leave. I would have been fine if they mistakenly didnt schedule me for today and was honest and let me know so I didnt drive all the way there for no reason. read more

I told them I was new to the area and looking for a new dental office. This place is a joke. What didn't work for me was the feeling that I was only a cash register to them. I went a conservative route for a chipped tooth and they weren't very excited about working on me. They took two pictures, added some pooky, a little blue light and a little smoothing; I ended up using a nail file to smooth out a rough edge at home and, from an aesthetic point of view, it was a pretty lackluster attempt to keep my permanent tooth in place and pretty looking. They charged my insurance $1,036 for 15 minutes of work, seriously. A small tooth that chipped, no finesse, he didn't even try to build it up so it lined up with the teeth around it, so it's literally slanted. There was nothing professional about their behavior or choices for this kind of money. Terrible place, they only want your money, keeping your teeth is not their priority. read more

Finding a reliable and honest dentist in a new area can be daunting sometimes. I did some research around my area and came across Ideal Dental at north Irving. The staff here is very knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. I have a pretty hefty list of dental work I need done, and they helped me decide what to prioritize and the best means to save some money. Most importantly, at-least for me, they didn't make me feel bad about the dental work I needed done. I have visited many other dentists who almost shamed me for my diagnosis! I have not seen a dentist in about a year my last dental experience was not good I will not get into all the details. This is my first visit to Ideal Dental North Irving. I know I needed a good teeth cleaning plus I had an abscess on my gum over my back tooth. They took X-Rays the Doctor came in he check my teeth and my gums he then explain what need to be done by them & what I needed to do to keep my teeth & gums in good condition. The doctor was up-front which was good I did not need to get a loan. (laugh) I left the dental office feeling good. The best dental experience I have had in a long time. I went to Ideal Dental in severe pain and was told I needed a root canal. They started the work and put in a temporary in which made the pain worse. I remained in pain waiting on my permanent to come in and had to go back to make sure the root was out due to the pain being so bad. I went a third time and the temporary was taken out and the permanent was put in by a different dentist who stated that she didn't like the fit so they drilled and removed the permanent and temporary again. Once put in I found I was overcharged after paying $1200 it took months for my refund. Today my crown broke and I was told since I didn't keep up with routine care with them they would not cover fixing their work. No accountability and poor quality. read more

My wife spent over a week researching different locations until she settled on Ideal Smiles. She was able to get us a same day appointment, which was great. Entering this place was like walking into an episode of Black Mirrors, great show btw. Bunch of busy ladies all wearing black scrubs weaving in and out of rooms with super high tech machines all around. One device looked like a VR video game. I walked in living in 2018 while this office is living in 2030. X-rays and pictures of my grill all done in the same comfy chair. Big flat screen tv all to myself with the discovery Channel going. It doubled as a monitor so I could see all the food stuck which brushing alone wasn't getting. I got examined and only needed a teeth cleaning, turns out I didn't have any cavities, unlike my wife. Ha! Score one for the fellas. I was told I could use some braces, which I'm aware of, but not ideal for a man of my age. I was offered to try Invisalign. The whole staff made coming to the dentist as enjoyable as it can be. With a special shoutout to Felisha and Brittany for going above standard expectations . Had a really bad experience. They made me wait for 90 minutes and gave a ridiculous quote for "deep cleaning". You know it's a shady place when they bring out a lower quote every 10 minutes. The moment they realised I was only wanting a regular cleaning they asked me to leave. Never going back. Been in the DFW area for 4 years and this was my worst dentist experience ever. read more

I have been a client since they opened this office a couple years ago. Both my son and I went here. Mostly routine checkups and cleanings, and I had 1 filling and 1 crown done. Had an issue with scheduling for a Saturday, which I need as I don't work close enough to go on a weekday. But they have since fixed that and were able to accommodate. I had been going to Carrollton Dentistry but all the staff quit and the new stuff is just horrible. So I started looking for some place close to my work that had high ratings. I found this place and am so very grateful to the exceptional staff. The dentist is wonderful and takes the time to explain issues I, as a lay person, may not understand. The front office is always friendly but I rarely get to see the waiting room as almost as soon as I check in I am called. Doctor offices should take a tip from this place! The hygienist, Shebly, is the best I've ever had and I'm 60 years old so I've been around the block a few times. She was completely pain free and was so excellent at keeping the water line from choking me. I think I only swallowed twice while she was working on me and as everyone knows, that can make a big difference! Kudos to Ideal Dental! Best dentist office I've ever had! read more

Billing Team is horrible. All they say about insurance coverage's and stuff are lies. They don't consider what is actually covered under your benefits and give their own proposed plan for treatment. They would rush you to get the treatment done when you visit them even if you want to check with your insurance to get the exact cost for the treatment. I wouldn't recommend this place to any one. This place is all smiles in the front and take your money in the back. I was told that I had a small cavity and that it would be very inexpensive to fill. After I went there I thought that my tooth felt kind of funny. I then went to my old dentist, 40 minutes away, and he said that there were dependencies with the idea that there was a cavity and how they fixed it. There were two obvious indentations that I could feel on the inside and outside on the tooth, the same tooth they drilled to fix. After I realized that they messed my teeth up, I knew I would never go back and never would talk to them again... Then they called and asked for more money for what they had already done. When they called, they asked for five times more to fill the small filling in the tooth they messed up. NEVER let these people with power tools in your mouth! read more

Scam! This office treats you for procedures you might not really need. I went to several dentists before and no one said I needed braces. They try to sell all kinds of products and treatments that you do not really need. The doctor hardly spent 2 min did not even explain why the treatment is needed before she recommended. I wish their hours were a bit more flexible - it's hard leaving work at 245 for a dentist appointment sometimes. They always present charges for dental procedures before they perform them. Sometimes they seem a bit rushed but so far all the work I've gotten done has been good! Edit: I realized that the statement about presenting charges might seem negative but I LOVE it. I don't have to worry through a filling how much it's going to cost or be surprised when I'm groggy and numbed up from procedures. 2nd update: if you're expecting Saturday appointments this is not the place. Love going to my dentist! (gasp!) I've had 3 visits here so far and it's always been a breeze. Love the set up of the lobby and the examination room. There's a TV set up just at the right angle facing you while you wait, or should you wish to watch while your dentist works on you. Love the dental technicians, they don't make me feel like a jackhammer is ramming through my teeth. I have an extremely small mouth cavity, and in my past experiences at the dentist my jaw would hurt for a day after a visit. Never the case here, I can't stop smiling after my visit is done! I always feel that the dentist listens to my concerns and will check out an issue when I bring it up. Best of all, free lifetime teeth whitening! My first visit was last Saturday, 6/16/18. The receptionist was awesome! She got me in on Saturday on a whim! My previous dental appointment (at another location) wasn't pleasant, so I was a little afraid. My dentist was Manjusha Tummala, D.D.S. She found the problems and got it done. The dental hygienist was amazing as well.. I'm terrible with names but every one at that location is awesome and it was worth the visit. I will be resorting to them for all of my future dental needs!! read more

I don't normally post many reviews but I had to with my experience here. All the Dentists and staff were amazing but I have to really praise Dr. Mays( oral surgeon). I had the best experience with him and his staff. He listened to me closely and hooked me up to his monitor during my surgery. That made me feel very secure. Once I was done (didn't remember a thing) my pain was very minimal. I was not even nauseas. Best experience I have ever had at a dentist. Definitely will go back! Alicia & Dr. Tummala took care of me during this visit. They were very professional and courteous. Dr. Tummala took the time to explain how saliva glands worked as I was having some pain in my cheek. Everyone in the office was friendly and I was immediately welcomed. I was afraid I was going to miss my appointment spot being a few minutes late but they were able to accommodate me and sat me immediately. Being from out of state, I'm always weary of going to a new dentist but I feel right at home here! read more

As soon as a walked in I waited not even 5 minutes to be called and the lobby and exam rooms are very nice and clean. All the staff were caring, polite friendly and calm me down cause I was getting anxiety to get shots in my mouth for a deep clean. It wasn't bad at all the dentist told me if I feel pain let her know and she would numb me more but I didn't need it. If I needed a break she wouldn't mind stopping until I was ready. she herself called me a few days later to see how I was doing. Overall my experience in this location was awesome and I will definitely recommend Ideal smiles in Irving. They even gave me a goody bag and toothpaste for my sensitive gums. I appreciate the gentleness of this office. I had my first surgery here with my wisdom teeth removal. They made me feel safe and relaxed me and the procedure went well. What I don't really like about this dental office is the lack of communication they have with me. I had my trays waiting here for days and assumed that they hadn't came in yet because I wasn't contacted yet. Then when I contact the receptionist she tells me they have been there for weeks. They also sent me a random bill in the mail when they had assured me the procedure would be covered by my insurance. I had the receptionist look into this incident and was promised a follow up. She never followed up with me and it was only addressed when I came into the office for my next dental appointment! I have already started the braces process with them so I would have to continue that obligation. But afterwards I'm strongly considering another dental office for my needs! Update their system is currently out. Instead of calling they send out mass text messages informing you of the inconvenience. So now I'm two weeks without my invisalign trays. I can't wait to be done with the procedure so I can switch dental offices. I do not recommend this establishment. They definitely dont put their clients first!!! read more

Do NOT go here! It is a scam. I had a severe toothache back in August and I am new to the area so I was trying to find a dentist fast. I go, they take multiple X-rays (more than normal I felt). Dentist gets in there and tells me the cause of the problem is a broken filling, no problem, we will drill it out and put a new one in. They carry on with the general cleaning and by the time she is finished I have 4 cavities and need 4-6 crowns. This should have been my first sign. She said that she couldn't repair the broken filling without crowning the tooth right beside it (second sign). I was flustered and in pain so I agreed. What a terrible experience. The temporary crown was so uncomfortable and painful that I had to go back after my appointment a couple of times to get it filed down. They kept acting like I was such an inconvenience to them. During the appointment I kept saying that I could still feel it and that it was bothering me but she said it was because I was hyper aware of it. I go for three weeks with this thing bothering me and then go in for the permanent. Same problems. Finally she got it filed down to where it felt mostly comfortable. $750 later, with an estimate of over $1500 worth of work to max out my insurance for the year, they send me on my way. A couple of months after the appointment I got my insurance statement and realized they had over charged me and I had paid for things the insurance covered and they had double billed my insurance for some things. I called and tried to figure out what the deal was and they blew me off and told me that it would be another couple of weeks before they heard back from the insurance and if I overpaid they would reimburse me then. It's been 4 months now. Now, months later it is hurting again and I'm going to have to find a new dentist to fix it. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. read more

horrible .I have not seen dentist bad than Dr. MANJUSHA TUMMALA . I went to office to deep cleaning. The tool she used stuck in between the teeth and it took 3 or 4 minutes to take that out. that was kind of ok. The worst thing she did was she changed the alignment of most of the teeth and created so much gap between the teeth.as I was numbed I could not realize that in the clinic . In fact she took some X-rays/images that was taken after I was numbed and deep cleaned. I was not sure why she was doing that after deep cleaning. when I checked in the mirror few hours latter I really got shocked. I went back and asked her why it was done like this and asked her restore the alignment. She was arguing and showing the images which were taken after deep cleaning. The worst dentist!!! I have spent $3000 and still did not get my earlier alignment. read more
