And after he's taken care of your oral surgery, you'll likely agree that it's worth the extra costs, because he does everything perfectly. So does his staff. My experience has been that I've been written information on specifics of how much everything will cost in advance (and they accept dental discount programs as well as dental insurance, which I appreciate.) He intends for every part of his patients' experience to be excellent, and so it is. You can absolutely trust everything they do, and that's worth a lot in my opinion. I know what this is supposed to feel like because I've had this procedure with MY doctor, and this isn't it" a decent doctor will listen and investigate. This guy WALKED OUT THE DOOR. He's still in denial that he did anything wrong, and I've given up trying to be listened to. Ask the staff for a referral to another location. You won't get decent care with Dr. Nguyen.

I had to remove 4 wisdom teeth even though my top 2 were the ones bothering me. After the initial meeting with Dr. Gregory, he basically stated that the bottom wisdom teeth needed to be removed as they were impacted. Fair enough. The initial meeting and actual procedure were really quick I probably talked to Dr. Gregory all of 4 mins total. I woke up with some swelling, nothing too bad, and was sent on my way and started on the antibiotics and pain meds as prescribed. That's when things started going downhill. I assumed that the normal recovery time of about 3 days to a week would suffice before I recovered close to full health, however, it took me almost 6 weeks before I was pain free! My pain was coming from both impacted teeth from my bottom molars. 6 weeks however is not the usual healing timeline. The problem with this office was that there was no follow up and very minimal information regarding post procedure topics. I had to look up most of the stuff online and guess my diagnosis and prayed I wasnt having dry socket or even worse an infection. It was very difficult to set up a follow up appointment due to his busy schedule and that the office is open during normal work hours. Luckily for me I recovered on my own. I had to buy a water pic and religiously use salt water for 3 weeks and was able to eat solid food again without pain 1.5 months after the procedure. Improvement in bedside manner and having a thorough follow up process would dramatically improve the overall patient experience even if the problematic patient is few and far between.

I sat there until 10:30 before I was called back. When I got back there, the tech said I was scheduled because I was having pain. I said no, I'm just here for a cleaning. He informed me that there's no way they could do a cleaning today and I was scheduled for something else. We both walked back to the front and he and the front desk went back and forth about what's scheduled and what could and couldn't be done. I told them to just cancel me and I would just leave. Came back, XRAYS TOO DARK CANT USE! I Left! Why not call me when received to tell me 'too dark'?! Saves everyone time. Don't understand digital xrays too dark-turn up the brightness! Just wants more $$$ per new patients. Watch out! I'm sure Mint Dentistry also follows the laws, and knows acceptable digital X-ray standards. Yet to say they are dark, fuzzy, blurred when those xrays were used during the exam, just questions the 'standard' ADA dentists subscribe to.
