Starting with the $45,409.11 paid directly to him for labor and then the $17,854.65+ (and counting) that I have had to pay out to actual professionals to fix his mistakes. He is not licensed to do plumbing work, but he does it incorrectly anyway. He is not licensed to do electrical work, but he does it incorrectly anyway. I have documentation from multiple companies detailing the mistakes that had to be fixed. The plumber immediately said "whoever did this was not a licensed plumber were they?" More than once I heard the phrase "whoever did this had no idea what they were doing." We were told in the beginning that if we see something we don't like, to let them know and it would be fixed. That became a daily event. Each time we would point out a mistake, he would immediately get offended and upset. He was constantly disrespectful to my wife and would not take her concerns seriously. There were constant delays caused by mistakes, VERY POOR measuring, damage to items and the biggest delay of all...standing around and talking. If they spent as much time focusing on work as they do on "don't get ahead of yourself", then projects could be finished in a timely manner. We had no choice but to move on because we were being treated like a faucet for money, nothing else. Nothing was ever actually completed. The only thing that was even close was the half bath and the molding in the TV room, but of course those both started cracking within 2 weeks. We had to reorder cabinets that were damaged and touched up with a marker without telling us. We had to reorder a dishwasher that was damaged while being moved into the house. We had to order new carpet because it was stained with paint in a couple of spots. Not even the paint for that room. He was walking through paint and tracking It on new carpet. In other spots, the carpet was painted while the baseboards were being painted and never taped off. Someone then used a razor to cut the carpet short to remove the paint making it look ridiculous. I didn't think installing a faucet backwards was possible, but Smith's Remodeling proved that it is. He then blamed us for his mistake that he did not correct. Also, do you want your closet doors to open into the closet? Neither did we. I had to file a complaint with the WV Contractor Licensing Board listing roughly 50 mistakes that were made. His response the licensing board was that I filed my complaint in a "fit of rage" and that I have "mental illness" and that I "don't want to pay my bills". Anyone that has had to pay over $63K in LABOR alone would be pretty upset. He was paid instantly every time he submitted an invoice and far more than they actually earned. On the day they were fired, I put all of his tools in the driveway about 20 minutes before he got here because we just didn't want him back in our house. He had already been in our garage uninvited and without our knowledge, so we had to change all of the locks and codes. Knowing how poor the work was and how much money we flushed, he sent a poorly worded "cease and desist" letter after he was fired threatening "legal action" if we dared to leave a review anywhere. I could go on and on but I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Feel free to contact me if you want to take a look and get more details

Jason Smith is a dishonest, unprofessional person that is disrespectful especially to his female…read moreclients and his female employee. He damages merchandise so that it has to be re-ordered to prolong his projects. This has all been documented. Time is money and he knows this very well. He will leave a job for weeks at a time unfinished just to come back and stand around talking and not getting the job done. I was told by one of his employees that I have every right to be mad at him because all he does is stand around and talk. He promises a job to be finished in weeks that then turn into months because of his mistakes and re-orders. He loves to play the blame game and bad talk his product supplier. He puts all of the difficult tasks on his employees while he takes multiple breaks and trips to Lowe's. He never comes prepared or back with the correct supplies. After paying him 45K+ just for labor we have had to hire true licensed professionals to come in our home and fix his mistakes. All of his mistakes have been documented by professionals. My family was nothing but kind to him. Buying him and his crew weekly lunches and keeping the refrigerator stalked with drinks. He took advantage of us and has even called my husband "mentally ill" and "full of rage" because we had no choice but to let him go. Jason Smith is the one full of rage with an overblown ego. He believes that he is more qualified than he truly is. On a very important side note... he did all of this to our family while he knew that my husband was battling cancer. That's Jason Smith's true character, so be warned
