Before I came to Ideal Image, I currently suffered from ingrown hairs in the bikini area. I tried everything from shaving to depilatories. Nothing worked. I had very bad razor bumps as well. After a bit of research, I talked on the phone with someone and they set me up for a consultation. We discussed type of hair, if my skin burned or not and even pain tolerance. At this point, I was able to talk about problem areas and prices. You could either pay up front or do a payment plan. I loved how all questions I had were answered and how friendly they were! The conversation went very well. I felt no pressure to do anything. They let me make all the decisions. They even gave me all the info and told me to think about it and give them a call when I was ready. I asked when could i begin if I wanted to start sometime soon and they said today! Huh? Say what now?! As a matter of fact, I actually got my first treatment after the consultation! Yup, they are that good. Talked me right out my clothes, LOL! Fast forward to 11 months later..... I am still doing treatment for my bikini area. Depending on how fast your hair grows, this depends on how many weeks in between that you need to come back. As a matter of fact, I had my treatment today with someone named Monique. She was very nice and made everything go as smooth as possible today. This place also does progress pictures before first treatment, when you are halfway (which I was today) and after all treatments are complete. I was very impressed with the lady who did my consultation 11 months ago. When I walked in, she greeted me and even asked me a subject we discussed when I first met her! Who remembers that? I can barely remember what I had for dinner last night let alone a conversation over 11 months ago. The receptionist is amazing as well. She is funny and always keeps me laughing. Once you schedule your next treatment, they will call and remind you so you don't forget. That's not the best part. One time, somebody cancelled and they called me to tell me that they could take me earlier that day. Who does that?? Amazing. While sitting in the waiting area I noticed that they also do something that is called Cool Sculpting. This is where they freeze away stubborn fat. This can be on the stomach area, oblique area, thighs and so many more. I cant really speak on it because I only go there for laser hair removal. It does look pretty cool though. My next appointment is already scheduled and I know that they are going to take great care of me as they always do. This place is where its at. I'm changing my review to what I truly feel now. Half of these reviews are pretty much bought. A lot of them are written by people who get the incentive to "write a 5 star review in exchange for a free session of a small area" which by the way.. one session won't make any change. So here's how my experience truly was.. the nurse staff was always super nice, and sweet and accommodating so if I had to just rate the staff at the front and the nurses I got I would give this place a 5/5. However, I'm rating this based off everything. First of all, the laser hair removal treatments are soooo overpriced like wow do I wish I would of know best when I went here. Second, I signed a credit with them when they were running a "special" which offered a 24 month no interest credit plan to pay off the treatment. I went and signed up for this plan. I went through with my laser treatment and fast forward to like 15-18ish months I was done (sorry can't remember exactly how long it took but it was longer than a year). Okay so at this point my treatments are done, the area I got treated looks significantly better then when I first began, hair growth is super slow etc. At the 18th month, when I was almost done paying for the credit, I get a charge of $800 extra for "accrued interest", I'm sorry what? I had signed a 24 month no interest credit plan.. so I called ideal Image and the bank that the credit was through and they tell me that they have actually ended their contract with ideal image so they couldn't talk to them but that my payment plan was 18 months and so now I owed that money. At this point I'm jumping through hoops trying to get this solved. Ideal image tells me that there is nothing that they can do, and that they can't find a document that states how long my credit line was for (how convenient), that I should gotten that in the mail when I first signed up. Well I never got anything because I keep all my documentation and what they sent didn't include any of that. Long story short- I end up reporting them to the BBB and when I went to do this on their website, I found how dozens of people had already reported them for doing this to not only me but others! Also let's not forget about their "life long warranty" sounds pretty cool huh? FALSELY ADVERTISED!! yes you get some type of warranty with the purchase of your treatments but these aren't free. If I need touch ups, it will cost me about $250 per touch up. On top of the $3500 I already spent. Many dermatologist offices will do the treatments for about $100-300 each session, and touch ups for a fraction of that! So no not life long warranty. I guess before investing your money here, do your research. Pros is the staff is super nice, knows what they are doing and won't injure you (at least they didn't injure me) like some horror stories I've heard, but is it worth it to over pay and spend thousands of dollars for a service you can also get well done, else where for cheaper? (Do your research) In my opinion, NO. read more

Two stars, one for clean facility and one for super nice staff but that's really the only good thing about it. I regret investing in this. I went with the "75% off promo" with a $200 off for booking my consultation right away. Those promotions are basically either fake or the treatments are way overpriced. I paid $1000 for upper lip and $750 for perianal with the "promo" So you're telling me that just upper lip is about $4000? So not worth it for the results I've gotten. Even if I was completely hair free after the treatments it's not worth it when there's other places the fraction of the cost. It's alright though, I was bamboozled and it won't happen again, definitely a learning experience. Take your money and time elsewhere unless you have disposable income. read more

Excellent experience thus far. The consultation was quick, yet thorough and I was able to start treatment same day. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. I competed my first treatment (beard line) in about 20 minutes. The nurse practitioner was great, and ensured the process was as pain free as possible. I would suggest you apply some topical anesthetic before heading to the office for treatment, as some areas are a bit more sensitive. Nevertheless, I am excited to complete my treatment sessions and await the great results! read more

There are far better and less expensive places to get laser hair removal in Orlando (in my opinion, Laser Centers of Florida is the best). I went to Ideal Image for a consultation, and they wanted me to pay well over a thousand dollars up front for a fixed number of treatments (10, I think?). They also want you to apply for a loan through their partner company to pay for it - a rip off, of course. You should be able to pay as you go for each treatment. I paid $150 per treatment for the first 3 treatments at Laser Centers of Florida, and then they reduced the price by half for each subsequent treatment! I only had 6 treatments and have had no regrowth after a year. So those other four treatments would have been a waste had I paid for them. They do have top-of-the-line equipment, but so do other places - do your homework and make sure you're not getting ripped off! read more

I've only had my first treatment so far but she called back about a week later following up making sure everything went well. First the lady told me when I signed with them that after 2 years my hair would be completely gone and wouldn't grow back anymore!! Now that 2 years have come and gone I need touch ups every 3-4 months and that would cost $65 each touch up very disappointed in that they couldn't complete the job I nearly spent $1700 or more on!! Laser Hair Removal (LHR) -- 3: pretty average, maybe more expensive Cool Sculpting (CS) -- NR: too recent to evaluate, want to see results. VERY expensive Ideal Image Staff -- 5: The staff is top of the line. Very friendly/honest. Make you feel comfortable. LHR - more expensive than other places. Very painful. Requires 2 years of commitment. But works. This is the same wherever you go. Don't be fooled by price ads. Most of the time they tell you the cost of 1 small area (like an armpit). But who wants to do just one armpit? Full legs, for example, probably cost somewhere in the $4-5K range. Men typically feel more pain than women. Light Hair typically doesn't have great results. Light Skin with Dark hair has best results. Dark Skin and Dark hair has medium to poor results. CS - outrageously expensive. The price advertised is again just one area with their smallest applicator. You'll probably want at least 2 areas, but up to 8 areas depending on what you want to achieve. 2 areas with the small applicator will cost about $1500, 2 big areas $3000. What I wanted to have done (was unable to do because it's so expensive) would have cost me $7500. So no...NOT cheap. Much less painful than LHR. I did this very recently, so I can't speak to the results but I expect to get pretty decent results. Day 1 after the session and I don't think I'll be working out today. Even though they claim to be an easy get in get out and you're good...most reviews I've read put people at a pretty rough state for 3-14 days. So don't except to get in, get out, and be active. The Staff - Very friendly. Very professional and personable. Made me feel very comfortable. Honest with their pricing. Honest with their opinions on results. The ads, not so much, but the staff themselves are honest. Most (if not all) of them had to do both LHR and CS so they have personal experience. I'm rating this as a 3 for now because compared to other places I've been it's really about the same. Ads are always wrongs, the staff is always nice, the prices are always high, and the results are good if you put in the time. Though I can't attest to the results of CS or LHR here since I just started, I expect to see good results from both. Last thing about CS: The ads say it's for those stubborn areas...and I'm not Dr. so take this with the smallest grain of salt...but I don't think that's really the best candidates. Yes, it will probably work for those people...but after researching how the process works. There are 2 fats - subcutaneous (just under the skin) and visceral (way deeper under the muscle). CS targets subcutaneous fat - NOT visceral fat. To me, the stubborn fat is the visceral fat. So I think the best candidates are those who have recently gained weight and have not had these stubborn areas that they simply can't seem to get rid of. Again, I'm no Dr. - but I know that my fat is relatively recent and mostly subcutaneous...and not only did the treatment not hurt for me, I saw some mega sized butter sticks, and I have a positive attitude? :p read more

I would highly recommend this place to anyone that suffers from low self-esteem due to unwanted hair!! Ever since I began my laser treatments i have felt so much more confident about myself! If you are hesitant I encourage you to just stop by and get a consultation, it might be pricey but for the way how you feel once you are hairless and your skin looks clear, its worth it. The staff is decent here but my fave is definitely Coral. She goes the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable and that you look your best after the treatment! Im about to be finished up with my face and neck area and now ive moved on to my stomach and bikini line. As for the pain, dont worry about it. Its tolerable (for the most part) and its a few seconds of a hot rubber band snap and then it cools off. So think about it this way- no more than 15-20 mins of sitting in a chair and getting snapped with a hot rubber band repeatedly, for about 8-10 weeks of no shaving and ingrown hairs... sounds reasonable doesnt it? I have been coming here on and off for years. I had gotten the full package in 2007. My last treatment was today as part of the package and an extra fee for the chin. It turns out they were charging me for both the last session of the package too! The front desk said that in the notes they told me various times that it was going to be extra and the didn't! I couldn't do anything about it because the lie they put in the notes went against me. I felt completely betrayed. I had no choice, I had to pay them. I called customer service and explained to her what I was dealing with and how upset I was that I was misinformed. She said she would talk to the manager of that location and have them call me back. They haven't called me back. I'm a fair person and I would've paid extra if they told me, but they never did. I was angry that I was completely misinformed. It's a shame that my last experience with them was the worst, so If people ask me I won't have good things to say about their customer service overall. read more

Let me start by saying I can't speak for everyone. I am of a lighter olive skin complexion with very dark hair, so my skin and hair type are ideal for the best results when it comes to laser hair removal. I understand this isn't the case with other skin and hair types so I can't speak on that. With that said, so far I'm definitely a fan. Really the only reason I gave them a four and not a five star rating is because I just started my treatments so I have yet to experience the finished product. Just after two treatments though, my skin is so smooth and the dark areas around my chin and neck have started to clear up. I used to spend about an hour a day tweezing that area and used to have to wear tons of expensive make up to cover up the dark spots. I was self-conscious about even lifting my head up in public because I didn't want anyone seeing that dark 5 o' clock shadow, which is not the most desirable feature on a woman to say the least. I didn't even want my husband touching my chin or neck. Now just after two treatments I went out of the house for the first time to a restaurant with no make up and felt totally confident. Not to mention having that hour back in morning routine makes a world of difference. The staff at the Waterford location is top notch in my opinion. A lot of them have had LHR themselves so they knew what I was going through and they make you feel super comfortable with everything. The price in my opinion was actually a lot less than I expected, but I guess that depends on what you consider to be expensive. I guess for me, it didn't matter as much because I was so desperate to be rid of the facial hair and the dark spots from all the tweezing. You can't put a price on feeling free in your own skin in my view, so even if I have to pay $60 bucks or whatever for touch ups later on, it's well worth it. Nothing beats never having to waste time on tweezing again and having my complexion back. read more

I have been coming to ideal image for about 2 years now. The whole laser process costed me $7,000 (not including the touch ups after the 9 sessions.) What they tell you when you first sign up is that you have a lifetime warranty. But they don't tell you that after your 9 sessions you have to pay for touch ups which for me was $200 every time i needed a touch up. And the sad part of it all is the laser didn't work at all, when I explained to them that the laser wasn't working they sent me to their special dermatologist that works for ideal image (I'm a 21 year old and all of this hair growth was really concerning for me, especially when I saw NO RESULTS.) Their doctor didn't help at all either, he offered me some strict diet body cleansing treatment that he only sells at his office for another crazy price. Ideal image in my honest opinion just try's to drain all of your money. It was a painful long process that gave me no results and I'm so disappointed to say I wasted my time and a lot of money at this place. This place has really poor customer service. I had to threaten to call an attorney to get an appointment there one day. I would have loved to get out of my contract after I started the laser treatment --- I won't even call it hair removal, because it is NOT guaranteed and NOT permanent. They never have appointments available. There are so many other better places to go to get laser treatments. I had treatments done on my lower legs (knee to feet) and bikini line and it cost me $6000. It was the biggest waste of money and I couldn't believe that I could be so stupid to commit to something that expensive. I was done with my treatment about 2 years ago and it did not work. I have new hairs coming back every day and they are getting coarse because I am now having to shave again. There are so many other great places in Orlando to go. Don't waste your money. Think about this: Ideal Images advertizes A LOT! Who do you think is paying for their advertisements?? Ding ding ding - their customers! That hefty price tag that you pay helps them get more customers. You are not only paying them way too much money for hair removal services, but you are paying listen to their ads on the radio! I would have laser done again to correct it, but I would never go back there. I am about to go to another provider that will do my underarms for $600. Ideal Image was charging over $2,000 when I went there. They are probably charging more than that now. ALSO - very important - when you go there for their consultation, they will give you a cost and then immediately give you 40% off. So when they are having a 50% to 70% off sale, they aren't really having a sale. They just jack the price up even more and give you a "discount." Their consultants get paid off commission so you are paying their paycheck on top of everything else. Seems to me like they can basically make up pricing if they want. read more

A bunch of crooks. First off let me say, that it does work and I am pleased with the results. HOWEVER, I have gotten treatments at other places besides ideal image for far less the cost than I have paid them. They are constantly having promotions and are always very pushy every time I go in trying to convince me that it's a good deal and it's not going to last. The thing is, they don't have normal set prices, so how do you know you're getting a good deal if "the prices always change" (yes, our prices always change was said in their in words). Wtf is that?! At any other place you pay let's say $300 6 treatments for underarms and that's it. Here, they "evaluate the area and let you know what it's gonna be after you're "evaluated". BS! I am paying well over $3k for 9 full face treatments. I have seen this for far less at other places. My mistake for falling into the trap. Once I'm done with these treatments, I'm never going back again, mainly because their staff is so damn pushy with rying to get you to keep purchasing packages. read more
