We were sad that a place with so many 5-star reviews misled us with the charges, treated us poorly when we tried to resolve, and broke state law in the process. As you can see from the picture of the receipts, the total cost for a given treatment was $377.50. However, the actual charge to us was $392.41. The receipt sent to us didn't even mention the service charge, as you can see - only the credit card printout hinted that we were paying more than shown. The reason for the 3.95% surcharge/service fee? They "don't want to raise prices:, therefore they now pass along any credit card fees (or even debit cards) - which is a sneaky way to do a price increase. They say they disclose all this to customers, that we could have paid cash or check...however we were never informed of this. Note that this "policy" is not in writing anywhere, nor is it displayed at the cashier. So we have paid $14.91 extra every appointment, when we could have wrote checks instead. We called and talked to the owner Cathy to try to resolve, and I expected we would receive an apology, perhaps even a refund for the service charges. Instead, she was rude, insisted my wife just can't hear properly, and then hung up on us! Very disappointing that a place with otherwise good service could be dishonest like this. As a matter of fact, I had my treatment today with someone named Monique. She was very nice and made everything go as smooth as possible today. This place also does progress pictures before first treatment, when you are halfway (which I was today) and after all treatments are complete. I was very impressed with the lady who did my consultation 11 months ago. When I walked in, she greeted me and even asked me a subject we discussed when I first met her! Who remembers that? I can barely remember what I had for dinner last night let alone a conversation over 11 months ago. The receptionist is amazing as well. She is funny and always keeps me laughing. Once you schedule your next treatment, they will call and remind you so you don't forget. That's not the best part. One time, somebody cancelled and they called me to tell me that they could take me earlier that day. Who does that?? Amazing. While sitting in the waiting area I noticed that they also do something that is called Cool Sculpting. This is where they freeze away stubborn fat. This can be on the stomach area, oblique area, thighs and so many more. I cant really speak on it because I only go there for laser hair removal. It does look pretty cool though. My next appointment is already scheduled and I know that they are going to take great care of me as they always do. This place is where its at. This is a medical treatment so you definitely want to do your research and make sure you really want the service and you're going somewhere reputable (ideally with RNs and doctors completing the treatments).
