She emailed me and gave me quote for a policy with a different company with a price that was lower than all other I had researched. After having paid, and upon document review, I found that there were errors in the paperwork, to include the incorrect vehicle and called to address it. I was told they corrected the vehicle and it was now $87 more. I explained they needed to honor their quote, but they refused, over $87. They do not care about their customers or what information they provide AND, I couldn't even get my own agent on the phone to address this. I DO NOT recommend Theiss Insurance.

Then I was recommended to Lakewood Financial. The level of attentiveness and service, I have received is exceptional, with the unobtrusive occasional emails/calls, asking, for feedback, (they do actually listen as well), to questioning if there has been any life changes, (which may require reevaluation of coverage, both up and down). Upon being dropped, along with the rest of Florida, by my Homeowners carrier, which I obtained prior to my Relationship, with Lakewood Financial. I contacted Mark Holley, who feverishly obtained replacement coverage, in a much needed expeditious manner. He didn't just stop at obtaining the coverage required, with time now on our (his) side he then went above and beyond, to secure equal coverage at a far more economical rate. He did this out of his own volition, not at my request. Having asked me if he could do this, knowing that the "temporary emergency" coverage, was somewhat more costly, than the payments to my prior carrier. I have since, as policies for various coverages come due, been migrating all of them over to Lakewood Financial. I have also been very vocal in recommending them to friends, knowing that they will also be well served. I am also happy to say, I have yet to receive and unwanted calendar from Lakewood Financial!

In mid 2018 I proposed they manage 40% of my IRA and I will manage the other 60% and see how they compare with my management, and they agreed to do so. I did fairly well, but they did it a bit better, so I felt confident with them taking over all of my IRA and two other portfolios in early 2021. The main reason I did that was to manage my investments for Betty, my wife, should I pass away. AND they did fulfill their commitment to reduce their fees from 1.5% to 1% if they grew their customer base, which they have. But not only due their management my investments but they offer many other services to advise their clients regarding life planning, taxes, etc. And to enjoying living while they are entrusted to handle my investments. I met with them in December and was told they were happy to take me on as a new client, with clear guidance that documents could be emailed. I submitted the majority of my forms on 2/16 and clearly communicated that one document was still pending. I uploaded the final form on 3/11 and followed up on 3/16 to confirm receipt--no response. On 3/24, after continued silence, I called the office and was told my return would require an extension and would not be completed by the deadline, which was surprising given how early everything was submitted. That same day, my parents--who have been clients for over 10 years--went into the office and were told that my return was being worked on. On 4/3, I called again for an update and was told there was no clear timeline. When Sam called me back, he admitted he had not even started my return, estimated "next Friday most likely," and then told me to "stop calling" the office. I only reached out a couple of times due to the complete lack of communication on their end. For something as time-sensitive and important as taxes, this level of disorganization and dismissive communication is unacceptable. Update: After posting this review, the firm dropped my parents as clients despite their long-standing relationship of over a decade. While businesses can choose their clients, the timing and handling of this situation further reflect the lack of professionalism and client care described above--especially during tax season.
