I've been here twice to process TSA Precheck. Make your appointment online and choose this location. PARKING The parking in small lot behind the building off Queen St was little bit expensive. The post office parking lot is a cheaper alternative but it was full when we went. OFFICE The office has no windows, the AC is broken, and there aren't enough chairs in the waiting area for more than about 6(?) people SPEED when you need TSA-precheck quickly, this is awesome. I think both times we got the Trusted traveler # within days. Although....everyone has TSA precheck now, and those lines are long too, so you might want to get CLEAR instead. Or look into TSA precheck touchless ID for certain airports and airlines that use it. read more

I came here to get my TWIC card and honestly, the whole process was way easier than I expected. Scheduling the appointment online was simple, and when I showed up on my schedule date, they took me right at the schedule time. No waiting which was awesome. I was able to find street parking nearby without too much trouble, which was a nice bonus for being in downtown Honolulu. Once inside, everything move quickly. I don't know what took me so long to sign up for this service. But here I am (was) after seven years of heavy traveling. First: Enter this website https://tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov/ and sign up for TSA check. Basically enter all the information online accurately and THEN pick a location (here on Oahu there are two places: one on Richards Street and another Merchant). Select an appointment time to complete the TSA recheck application there. I came 15 mins before my appointment time and was surprised to see the waiting room completely FULL of people. Full meaning every seat was taken and it was standing room only. The door opening inward would hit the person standing right there. It was tight (and stifling hot). Come to find out, it was a one man show kind of day. One man to check out everyone in (checking appointment time matches the appropriate name, ID and info sheet given, method of payment verified. The same man to call two people at a time to process them in the back room - basically double checking the info you have entered online matches what he is now quizzing you on. The same man who will fingerprint and photograph you. And also the same man who will take your payment once all the above has been completed. Bless his heart! He apologized profusely stating that he was running late and working alone. Not to mention a little on the slow side too. He wasn't too friendly and wasn't open to answering any questions you might have. Period. I got there at 9:35 and didn't leave until 11:15. Pros: ~Got my TSA Precheck KTN in a little over 24 hours!!! (Appt was on a Friday around 11 am and I got a text and email saying my number was ready on Saturday around 12:30 pm.) ~Appt was fast -- maybe 15 minutes? ~I was running early and they were able to take me about an hour earlier than my scheduled appt. (Probably bc only one other person was there when I got there. Might not always be possible.) ~Decent amount of metered parking pretty close by, near the post office. ~Worker was nice. ~Directions on how to find the office (sent with the confirmation) were easy to follow. Cons ~Building a/c was broken so the office was warm. There is a portable a/c in the reception area where you check in but it really only hits the part of the room where the worker was sitting. The room where they do the processing only has a fan and it was hot in there. (That's where you take your photo and fingerprints.) ~Building was kind of run down and not maintained well. I did not see sketchy people or anything like that...just not very comfortable or place you want to hang around longer than you need to. ~There was only one worker doing everything -- the reception desk, reviewing documents, and then processing us in the other room. He was nice and pretty efficient but if he gets stuck addressing an issue, everything might come to a standstill. ~Office was pretty small. Waiting area had maybe 7 chairs? Scenario: Made 2 online appts for a Friday @9:20am & 9:40 am for TSA Pre-check. PARKING: We parked in the City Financial Tower on 201 Merchant St. IdentGO does NOT validate parking and the website recommends using the metered parking outside. We arrived about 20 minutes early. It is a small office and they were people ALL WITH SCHEDULED APPTS waiting their turn and we're about 40 minutes behind. You need to sign in and bring whatever documents you needed for your situation. They try to triage you quickly so that if you don't have the right paperwork, you're not waiting long. We decided to sit on the floor outside to wait. ONE AND A HALF HOURS later, we were ushered in and they take you back in a room and there's like 2 cubbies. They have four machines and they take 2 people in to process in each cubby. The machine prompts your info ( based on your pre -registration online) and you need to confirm everything is correct. They fingerprint you both hands and then when you're done it cost $78. This took about 6-10 minutes. THE CHALLENGE is the two gentlemen working there( and they are really fast) has to come to the front to receive people and they take turns doing that. So every time they do that they stop processing people through. If they had just one more person to work the front while they process everyone ( 4 at a time) they could just whip through everyone. Some people couldn't wait and said they'd come back another day. But I heard that it's like this everyday so plan accordingly. First of all, please note IdentoGO does more than the processing and authorizing of the TSA PreCheck known traveler designations. They handle the security designations (for those who need it for DOD for example) and also the clearance and finger printing for Liquor, Law Enforcement and other designations which require panel and background checks. My visit however was to renew my TSA Precheck known traveler designation so for those who have not gotten it but plan to please be advised of the following: 1) your application is done IN ADVANCE, on line 2) you will need 2 forms of identification (Driver's license or State ID and Birth Certificate or Passport) 3) Appointment times are made on line IN ADVANCE and at the same time you process and complete your application 4) Show up for your appointment with the proper documentation and proof of identity 5) Be sure to check in at the front desk where they confirm your attendance, verify your documents (including your form of payment - no cash, CC or DC only) and then wait for your turn to be called Here are other things you need / should know 1) IF you have a Global Passport, you don't need the TSA Precheck designation because it is already on your Global passport and the Global Passport works the same as your TSA Precheck designation 2) Parking VERY LIMITED; park on the streets or at the Post Office Metered lot which in more cases than not; you will have to refill the meter during your visit (because of the wait times) Just tell the person at the desk you need to refill your meter so they won't pass you over during your short absence 3) PATIENCE is definitely a virtuous trait when going for this designation. My personal thoughts? IdentoGO should expand their office and separate the tasks. It might make things more efficient for their staffing. I came early and waited until my appointment time. I regret that because there is only three people at that time. There was one person working at the at the time of my appointment, Apparently there's more than one on a normal day. There's a lot of chaos and some upset customers having to wait and or also have had to come back on several occasions. I would suggest you make your appointment to make your life easier. There main office is located 810 Richard St. corner of Queen St. metered parking located in front of the post office on Richards St. Parking available in the building but I don't know how much plus they don't validate. My 1:00pm appointment worked out great because it was the first appointment after their lunch break. Valerie was very no-nonsense & stoic, but informative when I asked questions. She must be a long time employee because she had the whole dialogue memorized & spoke in a monotone voice. Although travel has been very limited, I decided to get my TSA Precheck now because there were quite a few appointments available. You need to book an appointment online. Sign on door said no walk ins, but a gentleman who showed up said someone told him he could walk in IF there were no shows. The guy you talk to may sound like a disgruntled a..; like a dmv worker who hates their job. But when you're in there getting it done, you'll appreciate the straightforward, no nonsense demeanor that'll get you outta there in under 10 minutes. If you didn't fill out the initial application on line, please GTFO. You're wasting people's time and taking up line space (if there happens to be a long line) and taking up waiting room chair space. So I finally decided to get TSA precheck since I usually fly over to the mainland 3-4x per year. It was a pretty easy process and I'm glad I got it. First you fill out an online application then make an appointment for an interview at one of their various interview locations. I was lucky that the location downtown is just steps away from where I live. so no need to hassle with finding parking downtown. At the time I made my appointment, there were open spots the very next day (but later times) but I wanted a morning appointment on a Friday since I'm off that day. No problem, appointment time 9:50am...cool. This was the main bummer part...come Friday I walk over at 930 and realize there's a huge group of people waiting. This location does other services besides precheck stuff so there were A LOT of people waiting. I checked in and sat in the hallway outside the office door...with about a dozen other peoople...keep in mind there are seats inside the office which were all full so there were probably 25 people waiting. I found out later that because of sick calls there was only one person working that day. She gets major props from me! I finally get called in at 11:20, yep, 2.5 hours later, and the appointment takes less than 10 minutes. The person working was really efficient and friendly. I'm sure if there was a normal amount of staff, it would've been in and outta there. If you decide to get TSA pre, I'd still recommend this location for your interview even though it could be a bit of a wait. read more

My hubby and I decided to get TSA precheck and it's one of the best decisions EVER! Saves you so much time and headaches when traveling and if you travel at least once a year, I think it's worth the $85 application fee. We traveled to Maui last month and the lines are 2-3 hours long if you don't have TSA precheck you get through in about 3-5 minutes. WORTH IT! We did our TSA precheck at their Downtown location. Register for an appointment time online and it'll save you a lot of waiting time rather than doing a walk-in since this office can get very busy. We parked at the post office and paid for metered parking because it seemed easier than finding a public parking lot since Downtown parking can be pricey. My appointment took about 30 minutes because even though I showed up on time for my appointment, I still waiting a bit to get processed. The man who ran my application was very nice, but you can tell he was stressed out. I would recommend going to the Waikiki location since I found that experience to be much easier and stress free. read more

I made an appointment online about a month out to get my TSA precheck. My appointment was at 11:50 am but I got there around 11:40 am (per instructions to arrive 10 minutes early). When I got there I just had to show my ID, List A document (you can choose which document A or B to show) and payment method. Once I was checked in I was able to go in the office and start my interview process. The interview was quick and easy. I answered questions and entered my information on a tablet. I also had my picture taken. The female staff member was very nice and helped me retake my fingerprints for the screening. After it was done and I paid I got a nice explanation of how the process works and when to expect my TSA known traveler number. I went on a Wednesday and was informed that I would get an update by Friday. But to my surprise I got my KTN the very next day. I read the other reviews and was worried that the process would go poorly. However the staff were really nice and I was done with my appointment in less than 5 minutes. Maybe I got lucky? Or maybe it's easier to get serviced before their lunch break? I also noticed they were able to take a walk in at the same time as me. It is such a hassle going thru the TSA line at the airport after checking in at the airline for Neighbor Island and domestic flights. The long Disneyland-like line zigzags, and you need patience, as there are issues with the lack of adequate social distancing in this COVID time, And the hassle of taking off your shoes, jacket and belt; and your laptop out of its case. Prior to the start of COVID, we have had authorization from Hawaiian Airlines to use the short, hassle-free TSA PreCheck line where you need not take off your shoes, jacket, belt, or laptop. However, with the start of COVID, we no longer had the authorization from Hawaiian Air to use the TSA PreCheck line. Which brings us to where we are now. I recently found out that TSA contracts with IdentoGO to provide travelers departing US airports with expedited security screening in a special TSA PreCheck line so that they need not wait in long lines in having to remove their personal items. (Note that TSA PreCheck is already included if you are approved for other trusted traveler programs, e.g., GLOBAL Entry, NEXIS, or SENTRI.) Note that you need to plan this out, as it will take a number of months prior to formal approval by IdentoGO. Here's my experience: In early Oct. 2021, we thought we could get approval for TSA Pre-Check for our trip to San Diego at the beginning of Nov. 2021. No deal. We had to pre-enroll online, which was not a problem, as our enrollment in TSA PreCheck was tentatively approved. We then had to schedule via online an in-person appointment with IdentoGO staff for fingerprinting, providing an official identification, and payment of $85 (credit card preferred) for 5 years. The earliest date available for an in-person appointment was Dec. 1, 2021. We thought about just walking in, regardless of our appointment date but decided against it because signage on their front door stated that no walk-ins are taken. We weren't even sure if that was true, as other Yelpers noted that they did walk in; however, some had to wait for hours before being called, while others waited for hours and were not even called. Another issue was the availability of parking. IdentoGO is located across the post office in downtown HNL where only metered parking is available on side streets or in the post office parking lot. Yelpers have noted that they've had to re-feed the meters, as waiting time for your appointment could be extensive. Not wanting to deal with the parking issue, I scheduled my appointment at 1:15p on Dec. 1. My hubby would drop me off and would pick me up when I was done. Similarly, hubby's appointment was scheduled for 8:15a on Dec. 2, as I would be drop him off and pick him up when done. We chose an early morning appointment and a right-after lunch appointment (the office closes between 12n and 1p). This was a good strategy, as both of us took only 5 minutes each, since these appointments were the first of the morning and the afternoon and did not allow for staff to fall behind schedule. This is a small office, and at least we didn't have to sit there with others, as there was no COVID social distancing. Now for the frustrating part. It only took one day for my approval to get the Known Traveler Number (KTN) via e-mail; however, hubby did not receive his KTN until 22 days later. We both had appointments within a day of each other and cannot understand why his approval took much longer. I think it would have been even longer if I hadn't tried phoning their call center a number of times to inquire about the status and noting that we had an upcoming Maui trip on 12/23. Each call resulted in the same answer, i.e., I needed to just wait. You'll need a lot of patience. Apparently, processing of the KTN is done randomly, so it doesn't matter when your appointment was, as they have 90 days and even longer to process it. We had a Maui trip planned for departure on 12/23/21, which I had my KTN for TSA PreCheck, but hubby did not. On that day, he received an e-mail notification that it was approved; however, it would take another 24 hours to be given the KTN. Sure enough, he received his KTN the next day after we were in Maui! But at least our return flight allowed both of us to dart thru TSA PreCheck! Once you have your KTN, call the airlines so that they have these numbers in your account, so that the "TSA PreCheck" is printed on your boarding passes. IdentoGO also provides fingerprinting services for state/federal agencies; programs; and industries, e.g., maritime facilities/vessels, commercial driver's license for hazardous materials, adoptions, construction industry, etc. I should at least be thankful that our TSA PreChecks were approved under 90 days and need not worry about the next 5 years. But it still took almost 3 months for hubby's approval, and some people wait even longer. So, plan ahead if you have upcoming trips and wish to use TSA PreCheck for them. read more

Walk ins welcome, just don't come too late. My TSA pre check account was going to expire during my unexpected trip so I wanted to get it renewed before leaving. Being responsible, I went online to the approved website, filled out the questionnaire, picked an appointment date. WTH nothing this month but walk ins are welcomed :) The place opens at 0800, so I left for downtown early. There's only metered street parking. Parking on Richards opens at 0830 but Merchant street metered parking opens at 0700. YESSSSS!!! Parking right in front. And meters here only accept CC. It's a small office with two employees. They both do check ins (present two forms of ID and payment) and processing. Two people were in front of me and we were all walk ins. So now comes the wait because the peeps in front of me didn't do any of the online paperwork. But they did bring IDs and payment in accordance with the website. I guess too busy to do the application at home. Anyway the next scheduled 0830 appointment came it followed by another walk in. The walk in was told he would be the last one so come before 0830 if looking be be seen I guess. The 0845 appointment came in and I was worried I would be there all day. It's $3 per hour on the meter. But after the 0830 was called in, I was called right after. I started with; "Good morning, and this should be quick. I booked an appointment @1:30pm on November 14th I got there 10/15 minutes early I went in to check in when I got there had two people sitting outside so I had a feeling it was busy when I went in all chairs were taken when I walked in one of the guys that work there just got back from buying lunch but he took the time to check me in. So they will ask you what you are here for I was there for TSA Precheck registration. They will ask what type of documents you brought and will verify and will ask what type of payment once everything was written down I told the guy I'll wait outside so I waited about little over an hour which I didn't mind because I understand there was only two workers and they were doing the best they can. Once I was called in everything was honestly done in a blink of an eye I was in and out in 10/15 minutes. The guy will go over all the information you need to know about TSA Precheck how long it will take to receive your KTN etc. everything was done on this big tablet you will sign on name and phone number, answer few questions, verify address etc then you will do finger prints, more questions, take a picture, and lastly payment. For TSA Precheck it is $78 for 5 years they accept debit and credit, after payment is done you are free to go. I was shocked I received my KTN literally the next day and happy because I'm able to use my KTN for my trips that are back to back coming up next month and following month because KTN normally takes up to 60 days. read more

Tip: Make sure you have enough time to wait I came at 3:30 on a Friday with no reservations to get TSA Precheck and decided I was going to just wait cause there was no other day I could make it by 4:30. So to start off, parking is HORRIBLE. There is no parking in the building, so you either have to find street parking but most of them are only 1 hour only or you could park in the City Financial Tower right next to it but it's $4/half hour. I first found street parking and paid $3 for an hour and walked over to the office. When I got there it was packed! There was no one at the front desk so I just wrote down my info on the sign in sheet, but apparently I wasn't supposed to. Then I decided to go back to my car and move it cause I definitely was going to be more than an hour. The door closes at 4:00 so I rushed back to get in time. There are only two people working so it took a bit but after waiting for about an hour and half, I finally got to go in. It took about 10-15 mins. Staff was really friendly but I wish the place was bigger and could serve more people at a time. I got my number online in less than a week! read more

Never received my background check. I lost the job because I couldn't start without my background check. Ninety days later still says processing when I check online. Called their customer service number and was told it was processed the same day I went to center that's the 1st lie because it takes at least 2 weeks for a background check to be completed. Said the nursing home received it and that didn't happen because I would have started the job. Even if this was true I'm supposed to receive an email with my copy it never happened and they refuse to refund my money. $85 down the drain and this economy it's so hard to get hired , I'm still unemployed. I wish the state of Delaware was still doing their own background checks because now if I need another one done this is the only company doing them. read more

I came in to do my TSA Precheck and found this location very easily its right near the post office on Richard Street All street or metered parking so beware lol town is not cheap for parking :) When I came in no one was there so I would say total time was maybe 10-15 minutes max You present your documents necessary (mines was birth certificate drivers license and marriage certificate ALL ORIGINALS) we scanned my fingerprint took a non smiling picture read a disclosure verified spelling of my name and address went over time line to get my known traveler number and done!! Very easy!! Highly recommend doing this!! Had an appointment, was on time, but the 1 staff member working had a room full of people waiting in here before me.

I'm writing this while sitting in the hallway outside IdentoGO. My appointment was at 10:00 and I arrived at 9:45. It's now 10:52 and nobody has been seen yet. There was about 5 people when I got here, now there's at least 20 of us. The person running the counter has no idea what they're doing, they're checking people in that are just now showing up instead of taking people to the back who got here an hour ago. Make sure to plan this on a day where you have nothing going on, because at this rate I'm going to be here for another hour and a half and have to Uber back home all the way to Kapolei just so my wife can make it to her appointments. read more

This is where you get your TWIC or TSA cards. Parking is $6 in the building and go to 3rd floor. Be prepared to wait and you may not get a seat but the line goes pretty fast, about 10min per person. They take credit cards and you need you ID and passport read more

Came to IdentoGO for TSA Precheck. They had about 8 people standing around a little office all waiting to be seen by one person. My appointment time was at 11:00a and I arrived 10 minutes early to check in for my appointment as directed. It takes all of those 10 minutes for the person reviewing the applications to notice I need to check in. She then takes another 5 minutes collecting all necessary documentation from me only to put it in a certain order and give it back to me. She then informs me she's running "a little behind". It's now my appointment time and she says she maybe able to get to me in about 45 minutes. The others waiting around the office mentioned they've been waiting since 9:20a., 9:00a, etc.. My advice would be to get the earliest appointment possible to avoid a delay in your appointment time. read more

Finally getting my TSA Precheck! At first I had been a little hesitant because the office was not located at the airport, but in an office in downtown. The location had been easy to find. Located across from the US Post Office in Downtown Honolulu. Being that it's in downtown, parking are metered & we found ample parking across the post office. It was just a short walk across the street. When I entered the office, I was greeted by an elderly man. He didnt smile, asked why we were there & if we had an appointment. Informed him that I did. He asked for all my documents needed for the appointment & method of payment. He looked over my documents, mumbled to take a seat & wait. When I been called in by the next agent, she identified herself as Pam. She went over the process with the TSA Precheck & asked me a few other questions. Because her computer was slightly slow, we were able to chat more about the difference with TSA & Global Entry. The whole process took about 1/2 hour & Pam had been very helpful. I would give this review 4 stars just for Pam. She made the appointment much more comfortable. *Tip: Make an appointment in the afternoon. It's not as busy. They also take walk-ins, although appointments are priorities. read more

I came in for a TSA Pre interview walk-in without appointment. The next available appointment was some 1-2 months out. I'll take my chances. Thanks to the advice to come in here early, I arrived at 8:30am and there was only one person before me who was just finishing up. There was one employee working, and he made an effort to attend to me before the crowds started coming in. It was a quick and painless process. I was given all the details on what to expect afterwards. He even showed my mugshot and asked if I was okay with it. When I got out of my session, there was a group of people outside waiting. Severely short staffed. One person working at 3:30pm on Friday. Your experience and able to get a TSA PreCheck app completed will depend on who's working. I read on previous reviews that people came in late for their online appointment were put on the walk in list. Well I came in with 2 people waiting with online appointments. I'm a walk in. Someone comes in after me and writes her sons name on the list....this is a list that the worker fills out after verifying license, passport or birth certificate. 2 more people come in..... Worker comes out and asks about who just came in. I'm first and tell him I'm a walk on....he asks everyone who has an spot and the lady who wrote her name down was 30 minutes late.....and she gets taken in before the 2 people that were waiting for 15+ minutes and were on time for their online appointment. So if you are late....not a guarantee you get put on the walk in list.... Worker tells everyone in the room he will lock the door at 4:15pm and will try to get us all taken care of. 3:54pm and 2 with appointments waiting...2 walk ins.....and 2 more people who haven't checked in because there is only 1 guy working! It's taking about 10 minutes a person so I am cautiously optimistic.....of course if I don't get in I will change this rating to 1 star. If they had 2 people working.....it would make things go way faster..... Update- OK, 2 people came in late and have overtaken the 2 walkins.........4:12 and 4 people waiting. YELP says it closes at 5pm.....? I'm hopeful...... Make an online appointment. I made one yesterday and got an spot 2 weeks from now. If you are in the area around 3:30pm, I would walk in...if you can wait 1 hour....now 4:15pm and he locked the door. He said anyone in the room will be taken care of today....making it 4 stars but will edit if he's lying and I don't get seen! Also note, I have a temp State license because I updated for the gold star. Making an appointment was easy enough. Yet, I have to wonder if making an appointment is actually necessary. Well, it is necessary and you must be on time. If you're late, you'll be put at the bottom of the list and must be treated as a "walk-in" even if you did have an appointment. My suggestion is to get there a little earlier than your appointment time. Finding this place is easy. It's on the third floor (Suite 310). You exit the elevator and can see this large TSA Pre-Check banner next to a front door. Enough chairs (at least 10) for waiting for your turn. The building, however, does not have guest parking. So you'll have to find parking on your own in another building or meters in the area. I'd feed a little extra into the meters because you never know if they'll be running late. The lady (receptionist, I assume) will take down your information and write your name down on a sign-in sheet. And then cross you off a printout for the appointments they have for the day. You take a seat and wait for your turn. Then, we had this man call our name in for our "interview." This guy was a real piece of work. I'm usually tolerant with sometimes shady customer service, but this guy was horrible. I think it's either the fact that he hates his job, or that he's too old, or could perhaps be that he deals with sometimes stupid people. Not us of course! I held back in saying what I feel because I just wanted my TSA application to be processed. But if there was one key thing I could express to him, is that he needs to have a course in customer service. And to be tolerant of others. Perhaps explain things more clearly and mean exactly what he says. Speak up, speak clearly and maybe show some compassion, too. read more

I had a 10am appointment and I wasn't sure about the parking situation so I just ubered there. Got there at 945am. They ask you to get there 10 minutes early. I was the only one there, gave the guy my ID and passport. Got my finger prints done. Took a picture. And was literally out of there by 952am. Quick and fast service. Would recommend. read more

I chose to do a walk in to get my TSA pre-checked experience. This is where you would go to get finger printed in the Honolulu area. I virtually didn't wait at all, it took me roughly 10 minutes to do the entire process and the staff was extremely friendly. The location is fairly inconvenient though, like anything else in downtown, the parking is absolutely mad. If you can avoid parking in the building, you will save four dollars per half hour. There are numerous places to park such as the postal office or street nearby and I would try your luck there! I chose to park on a side street and LSU Meter .75 cents for 20m, The rate is three dollars per hour.. I ended up not even being all of the time however don't take your chance with this, you will get a ticket because HPD is constantly patrolling downtown. The wait time can pretty crazy I assume so I would go with making an appointment or going early in the morning! FYI your TSA pre check number will be mailed with 30 days however you can go online and check your status within 2-3 days! It may take longer if you have a criminal record. read more
