Finding one with quality instruction and great owner/operators like this is REALLY a rare gem! 1) From the front desk to the dance floor with GREAT instructors, this place is PROPERLY staffed! 2) The facility is beautiful, functional, and equipped. Classes are fully separated, sound systems are great, and they keep the studios nice and COOL even in the summer for all the hours you'll be sweating it out while you learn. 3) Class format and teaching style is second to none to get you to your goals fast, and learn more progressively, to build competence and confidence. 4) If you need to change before or after work, there are even ample restrooms (which are very clean) for the volume of customers they have before and after class. There's even a professional scheduling/enrollment/payment system for classes. What's the alternative to this place? Big name chains, you KNOW who they are. Cramped JUMBO single-studio room with 2-5 classes happening in the same room, packed over crowded floors you can't even move around on treating you like you're cattle, different genres of music shooting out of cheap floor speakers from all directions of people learning different material concurrently in the same room, sweating it out in 90 degree rooms where they frequently claim the air conditioning is broken to keep their utilities/overhead low. You can't make this stuff up folks lol. I've been to 4 separate studios in the Inland Empire in the last 5 years besides this place, and I SWEAR all of these things have been re-concurring themes in our community. Some were chains, some were not. Arthur Murray was born in 1895 and so were some of these places, that's all I'm going to say lol.

Mr. Miguel, the owner/instructor is also very caring and involved with his students. For both Halloween and Christmas he arranges a trunk or treat or party there at the studio for the kids and parents to interact and get to know each other. He promotes unity among us all. My little girl is only six and is part of their mini class, the older more advanced girls, there at the studio are coached to be encouraging and supportive of the little ones. They act as buddy's during competition days. This is a huge help and relief for us moms. He also invites and encourages all parents and students to go out to dinner or lunch as a team during comp days to mingle and celebrate everyones achievements. Its wonderful because the dancers get to interact and have fun with each other in a social environment. Their competition team is amazing and doing great things. He offers an unlimited membership and a great variety of classes focusing on techniques and strengthening. Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Flexibility, Tumbling, Conditioning, Turns & Leaps, to name a few. A dance camp during the summer for all levels M-F 10am-5pm. My little girl has been a student for over a year now and I wouldn't go elsewhere. She continues to learned so much and enjoys going to class. Mrs. Carla is another wonderful instructor that my little girl has really come to love. She helped her through her first competition season with private lessons and lots and lots of words of encouragement!! For a little one who was 5 at the time and sometimes felt the jitters and sometimes struggled through conditioning a little extra love, support, and encouraging words was more than helpful it was a must and Mrs. Carla did exactly that. She came home so proud and full of smiles after a compliment or a pat on the back from her instructor. Thank you AIM for a memorable 2018 Dance season looking forward to 2019. Just know this is not just an after school or a recreational program lol this is a competitive dance studio where hard work and dedication is expected from both students and parents. "I don't like HipHop" was the the team that actually placed in competition. Versus her favorite Company dance group. The Favoritism shines in this place. You can see who the favorites are. They are the ones that constantly perform in every dance performance. Would bend over for those parents. Sadly all other dancers were just for show. I do recommend it for little kids under 10 to look cute in a Christmas or expensive costume. Anyone over 11 years... they will not advance. My daughter was not a ballet or jazz dancer. Since she took over Aloha Hula Studio in San bernardino, she slowly transformed it to be in her image, and I always leave the class with the biggest smile (and sweaty too, you will get stronger!). What I love about dancing with Toni is that her movement is so flowing (you can tell that she's danced her whole life). Ang lambot ang katawan. Her tenacity to teach and learn with her students of the process of decolonization of the mind and body is evident in her craft. She often rehearses with telling you the origin of the dance and movement making every dance intentional to its ancestral being. Her expertise of dancing Hula and Filipinx dances invigorates her craft as she has created a space where she can start every class with intentional medication guided with Hawaiian chanting and still represent her Filipinx roots by calling out to her family's origin. She is a patient choreographer and facilitator that is able to communicate how to improve your craft and also, ultimately wants you to improve not only your physical health, but especially your spiritual and mental health. She has advanced traditional movements and put her own twist. Toni has an impeccable resume of dance and even holds a Masters degree dedicated to her craft. You can assure that in any class she teaches will always be meaningful and a life changing experience that goes beyond-to just perform. Her heart is in respecting tradition and deviating from decolonization that awakens every chakra and leaves you in a good mind space following every class by ending with cool downs and meditation with intention.
