We walked in and were not greeted (maybe they're not used to new people?) and it seemed to be run by young people (20 year olds). We had to ask them for instructions on what to do because they weren't saying anything. The dancers all seemed to know exactly what to do, so maybe everyone is used to how things go, but we didn't like that there was no lead for first-timers. Kind of seemed like no one cared to see us in, or out. So we left and never came back. There was one TV monitor where you watch each class on a square on the monitor (4-6 squares on one screen) and a small space where you have to fit in with all the other waiting parents and siblings.

Mr. Miguel, the owner/instructor is also very caring and involved with his students. For both Halloween and Christmas he arranges a trunk or treat or party there at the studio for the kids and parents to interact and get to know each other. He promotes unity among us all. My little girl is only six and is part of their mini class, the older more advanced girls, there at the studio are coached to be encouraging and supportive of the little ones. They act as buddy's during competition days. This is a huge help and relief for us moms. He also invites and encourages all parents and students to go out to dinner or lunch as a team during comp days to mingle and celebrate everyones achievements. Its wonderful because the dancers get to interact and have fun with each other in a social environment. Their competition team is amazing and doing great things. He offers an unlimited membership and a great variety of classes focusing on techniques and strengthening. Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Flexibility, Tumbling, Conditioning, Turns & Leaps, to name a few. A dance camp during the summer for all levels M-F 10am-5pm. My little girl has been a student for over a year now and I wouldn't go elsewhere. She continues to learned so much and enjoys going to class. Mrs. Carla is another wonderful instructor that my little girl has really come to love. She helped her through her first competition season with private lessons and lots and lots of words of encouragement!! For a little one who was 5 at the time and sometimes felt the jitters and sometimes struggled through conditioning a little extra love, support, and encouraging words was more than helpful it was a must and Mrs. Carla did exactly that. She came home so proud and full of smiles after a compliment or a pat on the back from her instructor. Thank you AIM for a memorable 2018 Dance season looking forward to 2019. Just know this is not just an after school or a recreational program lol this is a competitive dance studio where hard work and dedication is expected from both students and parents. MPower was the perfect choice. The instructor, Johannah was very knowledgeable and took the time to make small adjustments to my body to help me. The workout was great and I got a good sweat on-the 90 degrees helps with this :) I'll be back for sure and I encourage other men who mostly lift weights to try MPower Yoga.

(Musical Theater 1, Musical Theater 2, tap 1, tap/ballet , jazz and HipHop)He went from a boy with anxiety to this confident performer. He was in his second musical Mary Poppins this past weekend. To see him perform with the biggest smile made me cry. He was confident and was so excited about the show. The show was AMAZING!!!!!!!!It's been great watching not just my son but many of the cast members just grow in theater. Thank You Mr.Frank and Mrs.Yesenia for bringing out the best in my son. He himself thanked them after the show for teaching him the songs and the choreography. All his teachers are all wonderful , Mrs.Megan , Miss. Larissa, Miss. Jenna, Miss. Jack , thank you ALL for not giving up on my son. A special shout out to Miss. Jack. Andrew wanted to try tap. Since the class has been practicing for a few months Andrew felt discouraged since they were already learning the song that they will be performing on the summer showcase. After trying the class he didn't want to continue since he was just starting and felt lost. Miss Jack told him she sees his talent and he can do it. She told him to come back the next week and try again. He tried again and he felt that he couldn't do it. Miss.Jack told him to think about it , she believes in him, if he still don't feel comfortable he can enroll after the summer showcase and start from the beginning. She was very sweet to him. On our way home he decided he wanted to continue!!! His words " mom , Miss.Jack believes in me. I want to take her class , I can do it " He's doing amazing. She knew how much he did want to take her class and encouraged him. I can't wait to see him on stage in June for the summer showcase. I also want to give a shout out to the parent volunteers.They're very helpful, it was so nice to hear from them how Andrew has grown so much in theater. Another shout out to Kyle , the front receptionist for being helpful and answering my million questions haha. Us parents don't just cheer for our kids we cheer for all the kids. I am thankful I found Valverde. They have help mold my son in this confident , happy , positive young performer. Can't wait to see him continue growing in theater !! I absolutely love this Pilates studio! It has truly become my safe space. I've been coming here for…read morethe past two years, basically since they opened, and I always look forward to my classes. All of the instructors are so welcoming, kind, and encouraging--but don't let that fool you because they WILL kick your ass in the best way possible! The atmosphere is always comfortable and positive, and I've always felt supported here no matter what level I'm at. I also love that they bring in different vendors on Saturdays! It's such a cute touch and makes the studio feel even more like a little community. After two years, I can genuinely say this is a place I'm so happy to be a part of. Her tenacity to teach and learn with her students of the process of decolonization of the mind and body is evident in her craft. She often rehearses with telling you the origin of the dance and movement making every dance intentional to its ancestral being. Her expertise of dancing Hula and Filipinx dances invigorates her craft as she has created a space where she can start every class with intentional medication guided with Hawaiian chanting and still represent her Filipinx roots by calling out to her family's origin. She is a patient choreographer and facilitator that is able to communicate how to improve your craft and also, ultimately wants you to improve not only your physical health, but especially your spiritual and mental health. She has advanced traditional movements and put her own twist. Toni has an impeccable resume of dance and even holds a Masters degree dedicated to her craft. You can assure that in any class she teaches will always be meaningful and a life changing experience that goes beyond-to just perform. Her heart is in respecting tradition and deviating from decolonization that awakens every chakra and leaves you in a good mind space following every class by ending with cool downs and meditation with intention. Loved this barre class! I've been doing barre for years and my very favorite studio closed a few…read moreyears ago. Since then my body has never been the same, the sculpting I had before has been almost impossible to achieve. I've been trying different barre studios and just hadn't found the one that worked my butt and legs the way my original studio had. Cassie's class finally did that. She incorporates cardio WITH the barre moves. Some studios will throw in some cardio but it's typically separate from the barre moves...the difference it makes when the cardio comes from the combination of repetitions and quick transitions is huge. My butt is so sore this morning...that's the best feeling!! She makes the class fun and the music is good, other people taking the class were super friendly. The classes are 45 minutes long and she does not waste a single minute. I love the 45 minute, go hard format. She incorporated most of the most effective moves you can do in barre. I'm in the middle of a move and only up this way a couple of day's per week right now but I'll be taking classes here every time I can. I highly recommend this studio!
