Now, let's give some background on me, I have zero athletic abilities since the day I was born. LOL!! Hey, I'm just not built that way and have come to accept it. As I got older, my body became less forgiving with aging aches and pain. I've tried to do different workout regimens and never really took to it. But man, Aerial still looks so cool and fun. After following them for some time, I reached out to Apex and chatted with Alyssa, co-owner, and Head Aerial Coach. She assured me I could do this, even with zero experience, and zero athletic abilities. With little faith in myself, I came to Apex this past Saturday, prepared to fail. It was the first time I've step foot into any kind of gym since being forced to do PE in high school. I was greeted by Nichoel, my aerial instructor for the day. Let me say, she is the absolute best!! She's very knowledgeable in Aerial arts. She's so kind, supportive and encouraging. I had the option to focus on one, or split my time trying out multiple apparatus. I opted to try all four, the Lyra Hoops, Hammock, Trapeze, and Silk, just to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into. I had no faith in myself, but actually was able to do it with Nichoels coaching. I had so much fun. It was a great workout. I enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to coming again.

I was in the area visiting family and I needed a work out before feasting all weekend. I was so happy to see a Sky Flow - Aerial Yoga class with Michelle on Thanksgiving Eve. I've been to Fit Ritual Studio years ago, when they were on the opposite side of Claremont Blvd. This location seems to be more spacious so I'm happy for the business for being able to expand. I had a great workout with Michelle. She was so sweet and motivational the whole time. Aerial yoga is a difficult work out, and requires a lot of upper body strength to lift your own body weight up. I am definitely not in the shape I used to be in, but Michelle offered some alternatives if a student would like to do an easier version or a more advanced version to accommodate students of all levels. Such a great work out. I feel like the stretches are so much more deep with the assist of the silks. And the inversions really help release pressure on the spine. It just needs some getting used to if you're not used to it. I'm glad I was still able to do a few moves, but I hope I can get back into the shape I used to be in. I'll be keeping an eye out for Michelle's aerial classes when I'm in the area. This is definitely a place I would frequent if I lived in the area.

The studio itself has a relaxing aesthetic vibe that feels welcoming. Classes are intimate and rejuvenating. The team are all so kind and genuinely have a passion for the work that they do. I always leave feeling relaxed and centered; the evening classes help me sleep like a rock after. So glad to be able to have this place as a part of my wellness routine!

You refused to give me a refund for being dissatisfied with your yoga training course. It's obvious you can't handle criticism. Perhaps you should adapt to the HIPPA medical law concept and not talk about your students or even your current clients in your yoga teacher courses. Shameful. We had seats fairly close to the front and had a good view from our vantage point. The performances were amazing. There was a silk dancer, rope dancers, tons of acrobatics, a guy with a nifty metal hoolahoop thing that he did several cool tricks with, jump rope acrobatics, etc. It was fantastic. I didn't understand what language was being spoken so I didn't know what was going on and assumed what was happening in the show and so was the rest of the class. So, we mostly assumed that this girl escaped being used to make the guy in the purple suit money and attention and was making them do inappropriate stuff and making money off of that, and in between scenes he shows off his different tricks and getting attention, and it made me agitated. But if I did know what was going on it would've been better because later that day I google searched it and it was completely different play than I had thought so I think this play is very unique and nice. I recommend if you are going to watch this play that you find out what it is about first. Lots of kids in my class were getting uncomfortable in some scenes, so I don't really recommend this for kids.

I also love how many different types of classes they offer, including burlesque, pole dance, and aerial silks, so there's always something new to try. The space feels private and secure thanks to the curtains that cover the windows, which helped me focus without feeling watched. I enjoyed her teaching and helping. After the class I felt like I was hooked! This is for all Levels, I'm a beginner. I left so excited I couldn't wait for Tuesday my next class. Today's class was instructed by Jasmine. Wow! We used different tools and boy did I feel the challenge this morning! What I love so far is that not every class is the same. Different tools used, different teaching styles. I'm pretty sure not going to get bored doing these classes. I like how they offer modifications if needed. I'm looking forward to my next class!
