We are incredibly happy with Afonso's work. He is extremely skilled and reliable. He painted my apartment in the city and did a fantastic job in one weekend. We came back home and found everything in place, and his work is impeccable and very detail-oriented. We hired him to paint our entire country home, do shelves for closets and install new doors throughout the house - he did a fantastic job, in a very tight timeframe, and came back to retouch several details that needed a second hand. Afonso is the best. We met when I hired him on Task Rabbit to put together some Ikea shelving for me at my office and the rest is history. He's been our go-to handyman at the office since 2011 and when my husband and I bought a house in 2013 Afonso was the first person we had over to discuss projects because he can do LITERALLY everything. Alfonso and his team are fast and do an amazing job for a very fair price. We hired iFixit to repair a leaky tub drain and repair the ceiling below that it damaged. Alfonso came out the day we called to inspect the drain and wall and give us a quote. He ended up fixing the tub drain on the spot! This was on a Friday evening, which allowed us to have the tub for the weekend and keep our toddler happy. Alfonso was back out early the following week and finished up the drywall repair. The fixed area ended up looking better than it did before the damage occurred. We couldn't be happier with the results. Everyone we interacted with at iFixit was very friendly. Afonso is the best! He is the go-to handyman for my workplace of 150 employees. He fixes anything and everything. He keeps our kitchen appliances in working order, he assembles any and all things that need assembling, he makes sure everything is working perfectly and fixes it when it's not. This week alone he unclogged a backed-up sink and toilet, fixed an electronic mag-lock that wouldn't latch, fixed a frozen refrigerator, built a few shelving units, and countless other things I didn't even know needed fixing! We can't say enough good things about Afonso, he is fantastic! I have had these guys out three times and I can not say enough good about their work. They have installed all sorts of items like a nest thermostat and protects, mounted TVs, and replaced light fixtures. The thermostat is a good example of their work. When they installed it required a new line to be fully functional from my old outdated system. Alfonso and his team were able to add the line and get the device working perfectly. Afonso from IFixit came by my house to take a look at a stuck faucet in my shower. Turns out the piping was all rotten. He had replaced the faucet, piping, and re-tiled my shower in 3 hours! We were so pleased with his work that we had him come back months later when our kitchen fan had shorted out. The lamp he had installed was an exact fit and matched the rest of the house's furnishing. He is responsive, fast, and friendly. I had exit doors at my business that were not up to the Fire Marshal's standards. I called iFixit. Spoke to a very polite, informative woman. A few hours later, a gentleman was in my lobby. He was here roughly 20 minutes and fixed both doors. Tested them each multiple times to make sure the job was done right. He showed me what to do in case it happened again as it was a simple fix that I did not understand prior to his visit.
