I called to find out about repairing my iPad and the person who I spoke with gave clear expectations about timing and the possibility of resolving the issue immediately. The store did not proactively communicate anything. After the first two weeks, I called to check on things and was told they were waiting for a part and that it would be done next week. (GET READY FOR MORE LIES) And the first thing they say is that they tried to call us on the phone they had and left a message, as well as, the phone number we gave them which they never called. They also informed us that the Germantown location had the screens in stock and that they could assist us. (WHY DIDNT THEY JUST TELL US THIS FROM THE JUMP. WE NEVER COMPLAINED NOR DISRESPECTED THE EMPLOYEES.) They did notify the other location to provide us with a 10% discount for our inconvenience. Thank the lord for Chester at the Germantown location. I've been here more often than the average person, because I don't like phone cases. This review is based off of over 4 visits. Customer service is typically a miss. They likely aren't done with your phone when they say they will be which is an inconvenience. They aren't going to call your alternate number when information is left. I say this after taking my phone and other people's phones there. I'd recommend them for cracked screen issues only. For anything else just take the device to your service provider, an insurance replacement plan, or Apple. They didn't even run the diagnostic on my phone and charged me $20. This was my second time coming up to the store for pickup and the tech came up with an excuse of why it didn't work. He whined that he spent two hours trying to figure it out. That was BS, my phone hadn't been touched. There were some distinguishable things still in place for me to know this. My iPhone was stuck on the white screen with black apple logo. Not wanting to do their job for them nor wanting to wait another 24 hrs for mediocrity, I didn't tell them that it just needed an Update run. ( I learned this from a Google search, not experience.) When I got it back, the screen was repaired but they had screwed something up because all the sudden there were new issues with the touchscreen itself. So they ordered the battery and it still didn't work, there was nothing they could do. Quick service, but I had to have their replacement screen replaced the same day (by them) because part of the screen was non-responsive. Two days later I had to take the phone back again because the lower left side of the screen would alternate between being hypersensitive and non-responsive. The third time was not a charm, as the problem persisted. By the way, this is not the area of the screen where the original damage occurred and each time they worked on the screen, they were able to return it to full functionality, only to have the problem reappear a short while later. I don't know if it was the quality of the parts or the workmanship, but either way I was not satisfied with the outcome. On top of that, they just weren't that friendly (on three separate visits). I really really wanted to like this place - especially since I cracked the screen on my Ipod. I visited a total of 3 times over 3 weeks (went weekly). They originally said they didn't have the part and would order it. I came back a week later because no one called me to tell me the status of the part delivery like they promised. It's concerning enough that people who are supposed to fix my electronics can't order the correct part - twice - but what really upset me was the lack of customer service or even friendliness. At no point did anyone apologize for their mistakes, instead I felt like I was bothering them and they were not overly concerned about having my business. After three visits, poor customer service and still not having my Ipod fixed -- I'm going elsewhere. So I purchased the Yelp coupon for $100 for $79. Turns out it was quite helpful because I ended up breaking my phone while traveling to Colorado in May. The service here is great! If you have an iPhone you're pretty much guaranteed to have a screen at the moment you step in, but unfortunately, they didn't have the iPhone 6 screens in stock when I went. They did an amazing job with letting me know when they would have it in by calling on a frequent basis to let me know that the shipment had not arrived and as to when it had arrived for me to bring my phone in. When I actually took the phone into the shop, they took it, after prompting me to sign a waiver saying that it was good for them to unlock my phone and that there were no privacy issues, and I had it back in about an hour. Now once I got the phone I paid, and had to pay $8 more because the total was $108 and the coupon was for only $100. Afterwards, I took the phone and left and had a slight issue with my screen not cutting back on. I hurriedly took it back and told them that I was in no hurry and would pick it up after I got off of work, in which, when I did get off and made it back, they had it ready with a detailed explanation and didn't charge me anything further. If I could give them no stars I would. This place is outrageous and is run by thieves. I brought in my iPad 2 to get a power flex cable replaced. I broke the screen and was changing it (which I have done multiple times before) myself when I accidentally snapped it. I called them and they said they'd replace it for $50. Sounds fair enough. The technician offered $80 for replacement and to close up the iPad. I have plenty of experience changing screens so I just had him replace the replacement flex cable. I brought it in and they changed it. That night they called me and told me the volume up button was broken and charged me an extra $10 for that. I accepted the payment and left it overnight. The next day my girlfriend picked up the iPad for me because I had to work a 12 hour shift. After work, I picked up the iPad and noticed the Wi-Fi antenna wasn't just broken, it had been ripped off! This is not something that is not easy to do. I remember vividly having the wi-fi card in place when I handed the thieves my iPad. My girlfriend didn't break it... she carried it to the car and left it on the seat until I picked it up. So I called them immediately after and the technician claims "There's no reason why we would mess with that cable... I'm an expert in iPad repairs." Well guess what, I'm not an idiot. The "technician" blamed my girlfriend for the missing wi-fi card and told me that I had no reason to blame him. No one else touched it but him. Personally, I think he's just butthurt that I didn't pay $30 extra for the screen closed. That is my choice. If i pay you for a job, You should do it right and not cause damage to my things. Came here to get an iPhone screen repaired. Got the phone and the color is terrible. They told me that's part of the deal when you don't use an Apple grade screen and a replacement. Wish I'd know up front that the picture of my phone would be affected. They say they would have told me if I'd asked.. but I didn't even know to ask this? I'd for sure research other options. It also doesn't have the same touch sensitivity that a regular screen from Apple has - I often have to push down several times or swipe multiple times before the phone gets the signal. They did offer me a replacement and to put my old cracked screen on. However, my toddler dropped my phone before I made it back in and then they wanted to me pay almost full price to get my cracked screen back. I spilled water on my phone and put it in rice. A piece of the rice got stuck in my charging port and when I got the rice out my phone wouldn't charge. I took it to I fix it and he was able to clean it out and make it start working without replacing anything. He could have easily charged me for a replacement and I would've never known that I didn't actually need it. Downtown "New" Store - 130 Madison Ave ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I used iFixMemphis (aka "iFix901" etc) to replace a screen/digitizer on my iPad 3. My suggestion: DO NOT USE their services. The price was comparable with other local repair shops ($150+tax). The work was sub-par, took multiple attempts and Still is not correct. The other reviews about how bad the customer service is are all spot-on in my opinion. I made 3 visits to the store and not once was I greeted with a Hello or any greeting. I never received a THANK YOU for your business nor even a simple, Have a good day or Come Back if you need anything. The attendant seemed borderline bored with having to assist someone. I work downtown so I went for convenience of location. That was my mistake. It's worth the drive to get it fixed elsewhere, if done correctly. iFixMemphis replaced my digitizer (the glass touch-screen) on my iPad 3. But when they gave me the 'fixed' iPad, it now had air bubbles between LCD & Digitizer. When I pointed it, they too saw it and said "Don't worry, you can ignore those, it will still work fine". No, it distorts the image and the MAIN point is, I paid for a new screen so it should Look and Act like New. I left it to be replaced Again. Each time was an overnight stay as it wouldn't be ready in 2 hours based on other reviews I read. iFix Memphis said "We will call you when it is ready". They never called. I left voice mail and tracked them down the next day where they implied the unit had been waiting for me to pick it up (they never called, but fine, I went to get it.) Upon the 2nd try at fixing it, the bubbles were gone, but Now it had a noticeable smudge underneath the screen.They said "Yes, I see it but it's fine. If we try to take it off, we will break the screen (???)--again" I don't care what they do so long as it's fixed. They are responsible for How they handle the repair & parts. They said "Don't worry, that (smudge) won't affect the performance". Again, they JUST DON'T GET IT... When you Pay for New screen, it should look brand new. This looks like I bought a used unit with a blemished screen. VERY disappointed. The iFixMemphis service techs either Don't Know How, or simply Don't take the Time, to do the job Right. I should have requested half my money back at a minimum as I could replace the screen for half the cost, I paid extra to ensure it would be done right. I left $170 poorer and disappointed.... I had a screen replaced in June and just had it replaced today because the screen was actually splitting. The nice guy at Phone Kings showed me that they left off 2 screws (which he replaced for free!) on my phone, used elmers glue as a seal, and a very cheap screen for replacement (which caused the screen to split). This place is a scam! I promise you will have to have the screen replaced again because they use crappy products!!!!! read more

What a great experience, well, as good as fixing a cracked iphone can be. Silly me dropped my phone last night after the Elite event and it shattered into a million pieces - it even gave me a splinter. Overall bad experience. We went to their store a few days ago to get an iPhone serviced. We went there because it's so close to where we live. I pass by there and see their 30 minute iPhone repair stickers on their windows almost everyday (I think it's also a pawn shop? They had one of those "cash 4 gold" signs in their windows too.) Inside looked very nice, but the customer service was extremely disappointing. There was rap music playing very loudly and it was very hard communicating with their employee. He could not speak English and there was no one there to help us. Very unprofessional and careless. We picked up the phone and everything seemed fine. Aside from the poor customer service and overall "sketchy" feel of the area the repair was finished in 30 minutes and everything seemed to work. Wrong. Now the phone won't turn off when we talk on it. It dials numbers when we hold it up to our ear to talk. We can only use the speaker phone now! Unacceptable! I don't trust them enough to return the phone for them to fix their mistake. I will try someone else I will not recommend their services to any of my coworkers, friends or family.
