Because marijuana is legal now, and I was on vacation I came into the spa high as a kite. I love getting high for massage and yoga - it's a nice way to relax however, I hauled way too hard on my little vape and spent 20 minutes prior on the phone with my husband trying to pull myself together to make the appointment. I stood at the wrong door waiting and waiting and waiting. I saw the sign on the right door, but didn't manage to read it for comprehension. I. Was. High. I called Vivita to see if I had made a mistake, but didn't get through. I gave up. Started walking towards downtown and the phone rang. It was Vivita. She was there and ready for me. Told me the other door was open and I should hustle back. I'm glad I did. Vivita is PRO. She is nurturing and gives an impeccable facial. She took care of some deeply rooted gross things and made my face glow like the Madonna. I looked and felt radiant. Her products smell wonderful and I can't stop telling people about her service. Whenever I'm in Toronto I will see my parents and I will see Vivita.

I left feeling really refreshed and less tight. I purchased a 60 minute massage and i believe Vivita spent a bit longer on me. The prices are really good and she is training more masseuses so she can serve more clients each week as she moves into retirement. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted warmly and will feel comfortable as the aromatherapy relaxes you into a spa like atmosphere. I am so glad I found Vivita's spa and can't wait to go again. I decided to come here with my boyfriend because he really needed a massage. He's been working over time nearly everyday and stands a lot. It seemed like a really good idea to gift him a relaxing morning. While he did that, I decided I'd get a manicure to help pass the time. Mirabel was amazing at helping us do the booking and being very clear about the costs etc. Absolutely wonderful! Starting with the boyfriend's experience: the hydrotherapy was nice, but it was also not the most relaxing. He was getting splashed in the face a bit by the masseuse controlling the handheld jet which you can imagine is quite unpleasant, especially when you're meant to relax. He didn't enjoy it much but the effects of increasing circulation in the body certainly worked. He did enjoy the 45 minutes massage that followed thankfully. His masseuse was able to work out a lot of his knots in the shoulder and upper back. And he said that was very relaxing and he wishes he would have just done a full 90 minutes of massage instead. If this review was based solely on the one service, 5 stars! The manicure was not great at all. I realize it's not what they specialize in, but I think if they plan to charge as much as a regular manicure bar for polish ($38) then they should invest in proper training for application and more color options. They didn't even have white. The website says choose from 150+ colors. What a lie. I walked in and there were about 40 pinks and purples + a small handful of random colors. Usually I'm having trouble deciding because I love all the colours. Here I was disappointed to see they did absolutely NOT have 150+ colors to choose from. That was upsetting and misleading. The hand massage was amazing and the prep was done well. They really got the cuticles formed nicely, though I am sensitive and had to mention it a few times. She was a bit rough with the sharper pointy tool. I was not very relaxed. What bugs me is that they didn't do a base coat and didn't properly cap the nails. The brand apparently doesn't require it but I think that's a very basic few steps to ensure the best longevity of the manicure for your client. They also paint in tiny strokes not fully down the nail so now that it's dry, I can see it's not smooth at all. It's been less than 24 hours, and I've done no heavy lifting or soaks. It's already chipped. I do my nails all the time with regular polish and chipping usually begins in 5 days or so, even with heavy lifting. The top coat was very thin and I think didn't do much to protect the polish, either. I would not recommend the manicures at all. Pedicures is a different story because they can help you treat the callouses etc. But I wouldn't spend the money here for a manicure again. You can't charge $38 + tax when you have very few color options, no base coat, and no good quality top coat. Update the wording on your website please to reflect that you have limited options. Over all, he enjoyed his massage, and the team members were extremely pleasant. The environment is nice with a fantastic steam room available to clients in the shower area. But after a lot of reflection on the entirety of the experience, I don't think I'll be back or really recommend them. When you're one of 100+ spas, you need to invest more into the services so people want to return, even when it's your smallest services. You have wonderful staff and fantastic location. Sadly, we enjoyed 1/3 services at the end of the day.

The waiting room was dimly lit and calming, and they had fresh infused water to drink. The change rooms were very clean, and the RMT I had was wonderful. The facility is lovely and well-appointed with sauna, steam room, robes, lounge, and other amenities like pads, shavers etc. This is a great bonus that saves a star! Unfortunately, the massage service my partner received (gifted by me) did not meet expectations. We had arrived on time (early), but she was not called to the massage room until her appointment time. Then, she had to fill out her forms, which should have been provided when we arrived early (or perhaps online beforehand is a good idea!). She's also filled out these forms before so health questions should be on file already. This cut into her massage time and she did not receive the full 50 minutes. As well, her verbal instructions were not entirely regarded by the masseur (when asking for less leg work, the request was ignored).

She spoke limited English but was able to communicate well enough. She asked what level of massage I wanted, from strong to mild. I went for strong but told her I may ask her to go down if needed. She was excellent and massaged really well, from the knee down. She focused a lot on my lower legs which she explained would help with sore feet. I trust her!
