I am one of those people obsessed with my hair cut and color. I was an "I only trust to get my hair done in NYC" hair snob following my colorist around for 20 plus yrs wherever she went... till she went to Oregon. I took a chance based on the reviews and I am so so thankful I did. Nikki spent .."4" hours people "4" patient hrs lol on my covid roots to the floor/dread locky hair and when I was done I had exactly what I had hoped for the perfect blonde shade with definition! From the start Igor could not have been nicer and more honest. He reassured me my hair was thick enough and talked me out of hair extensions that would have gotten him an extra $500 easily, possibly thinned my hair and been a constant drain on my wallet. He spent just 30 min on my hair and when it was done it is now literally the best cut I have ever gotten in my life! IDK how he did this while observing all protocol with masks etc but it perfectly flattered and framed my face. He jokes that his cuts get people dates and I can see why he says that lol. Look no where else I am 100 percent serious this is a REAL REVIEW. In addition, to being the most talented Duo in westchester they are funny, humble, hard working, honest..just amazing people to know. They both are booked working continuously 7 days a week now that restrictions are lifting so my advice is get in while you still can this summer and their prices are reasonable for the level of service. I have gone to Igor since I first found him close to 15+ years ago...before that, I tried different hair stylists hoping to find someone who understood what I wanted and could give me a great cut. Finally, I spoke to a colleague whose hair always looked great and she recommended that I go see Igor, that he would know what to do. Well, she was beyond right! Igor is such a great hair consultant and stylist. He listens to what I want and works with me to give me the cut that works for my hair and my styling habits. The funny thing about it is that Igor always knows what will work even if I am not sure what I want. My hair needed a transformation desperately! My hair was dry, brittle and dull. It also needed a cut so bad that i was getting dreadlocks even though i brushed 2 times a day... i was a mess. I came to Igor M salon by recommendation from a friend and the whole experience was AMAZING. Friendly staff greeted me and showed me to my colorists chair. Brittney (my colorist) gave me the perfect shade of black. I wanted a cool tone black nothing brassy. After the assistant washed out my color i was brought over to Igor's chair for a cut. We had a consultation where i told him what i was looking for and then he took the time to ask me questions to clarify. He gave me the cut i wanted exactly! I told him please keep it long because i have an event in January that I'm trying to grow my hair out for and he did just that. Visited for the first time ever and was eager for a hair cut and color to recover from the messy hair I developed firing quarantine. The team was very mindful of social distancing regulations. Everyone wore masks and worked carefully. Nikki did my color and it came out better than what i envisioned. The highlights were perfectly blended throughout. Nikki talked me through her entire process so nothing was ever a surprise, except that the final color was simply better than expected. Loved it. Igor did my cut and I was so appreciative of the quick pre-consultation. I wanted a Lob and he talked through where he'd need to adapt slightly due to my hair texture. It came out beautifully. At the end of the cut, there was a small patch of hair in the back that needed some extra color care. The team worked quickly to make the fix. I booked a last minute appointment with Bulent with no problem during a weekday morning. I was running late and phoned the salon to let them know and was told "Don't worry - it's fine". I arrived about 5-10 minutes late and was treated like a princess. The receptionist welcomed me a if I was visiting her home and made me feel at home. The shampooist (?) was warm, friendly and professional. Bulent is an amazing stylist. He took one look at my hair and knew how it would "act" and was able to cut it with precision. I have coarse, thick hair with a mind of its own and I don't have time to spend on styling it. He cut it so well that there was no need for any hair gel or hair spray - and literally every hair falls into place after I shake my head. Daniel and Igor gave me my self-confidence back, which I appreciate. I would categorize both of them as artists. My experience there was not cookie-cutter. They both listened carefully to my hair concerns and addressed them with professionalism, creativity, and as a team effort. With their talent, they could have been very snobby and aloof, especially since they were both at high-end studios in the city. Daniel and Igor were the opposite of that. Warm, genuine, and understanding. After many years attending to my hair, this was the most positive and professional experience I have ever had. This place have such a great team of stylist. The first time I got a haircut that was exactly what I asked for ( believe me when I say it's almost impossible to get it done on downtown WP). Also Igor is a genius with scissors. Hands down best haircut I've ever got. Then I came back for a color treatment, first time on my life. They made me feel great and confident. I also loved the hair style assistants who took extra time and care to wash my hair and apply the treatment suggested. Like I said, I was in the hand of gods. Where do I begin with how much I appreciated and loved my experience with this salon? Not only did they take me last minute but my stylist (shout out to Mathilda!) was incredibly efficient and executed exactly what I wanted. She took my orangey hair and turned it into a beautiful blonde that I have been hoping to achieve for months. Afterwards, I got a cut with Igor which honestly was the best cut I've gotten in a while. Beautiful bright and clean salon iwith convenient parking next door, I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I walked in. Igor knows hair. And my hair is not easy - it's curly and temperamental! First off, the salon is so beautiful and in a convenient location! I just moved to the area and discovered Igor, and it was the best thing for my hair! I just got my hair colored by Nikki and haircut by Igor whom I heard about through a recommendation from a friend! I am so happy with the results. I went in with dull hair and came out with a gorgeous color and a great bouncy cut. I love when you walk into a salon and the colorist and stylist tell you what they think would look best on you and communicate their ideas to each other so it's all cohesive. The most amazing salon experience. I've been to some of the finest in NYC and in Westchester... no place compares. It was not like going to a salon and getting my hair done. I participated in a collaborative journey that ended with me looking like my best self. Nikki was my colorist and Igor was my stylist.
