Went again the other night and I swear this place should be closed down..!went in and waitress and other employees were laid on the furniture like they were at home on their phones, they looked tired and like why are they there.... I never complained about this but how the hell food come out so fast after order just being taken like under 1 minute????? That is unheard of.. it was only two of us and they raked on a 15% gratuity as if we weren't gonna tip... guess what you just lost a tip and the food was nasty!! Tried the new Chorizo fiesta omelette and it was delicious! The chili lime sauce is really tasty too, it's spicy but flavorful and I like IHOP but this was even better than I expected. Great service also, I always come to this location. read more

I'm a fan of IHOP since it's a family favorite. This particular IHOP always demonstrates excellent customer service. Rarely do we have to wait for an extended time to have our family of 7 seated. They have a nice flow of customers entering and exiting. The other day, one of my daughter's pumpkin pancakes were served about 15 minutes after all our other orders were served. The manager informed us of the delay prior to the delay. And prior to being served the pumpkin pancakes, he ensured us the item would be taken off the bill. They care about customer satisfaction and it shows. Delicious breakfast entrees and great customer service has made us regulars. read more

This place is gross! Do not waste your time or money! They need to knock the entire building down & rebuild it. The booths has ripped seating & the paint was severely peeling. The ceiling looked as if there is major water damage. They are in desperate need of a renovation. The floors looked as if it hadn't been mopped/swept in a few days. I come here three times a week, Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. I have noticed that there has been a new busboy, Looks about 5'8', Mexican, and has curly hair. I have seen him working in the front and coming out from the back. He didn't seem to be liking what he was doing but I love that he is committed. Food was delicious, service was excellent. It takes a while for me to get seated which is frustrating. One thing I dislike about coming here more than once a week is the manager. I hear her yelling at the cooks which from my experience has made a lot of people leave the restaurant not just because of the time it takes to revive the food but because of her. We were sat by the door even though we had a baby. So our baby was hit with cold wind and we had to ask if they would keep the door closed. Ordered cheese sticks and the gave me cold sauce got my food had a hair on my food it was on the side but whatever. They forgot the other person add ons. Was never given napkins, never got a refill. If you're looking for a mediocre restaurant for any kind of food, this is it. The food is served warm, not hot, if you happen to get the correct order, which, after going here for years, I can say only happens half the time. The servers don't really know the menu. Worst service ever! We were seated promptly as the restaurant wasn't busy for a Saturday morning. However, we sat for 15 minutes before anyone even asked us if we wanted coffee. My family and I went to this location (4821 Cal Sag Rd, Crestwood, IL 60418) and a waiter by the name of Lorenzo took our order, he started off nice very professional and then he began to get a little rude and aggressive, when asking if they had avocado after he took the menus he made a comment and stated well if you looked on the menu it tells you, then when asking for 3 containers and bags, he brought 2 containers no bags, I asked about them again this time 1 container and 1 bag, again I asked for two more bags he brought 1, so by this time a wedding party had came in and I guess they remember him from the last time and they requested for a new waiter, which the waiter left because she's gotten into it with the same employee (Lorenzo) which made him the only Waiter on duty he was upset that the bridal party didn't want his service and he started slamming dishes down yelling at the customers and then he came back with one more bag and said to me out loud next time you ask for 3 and I addressed him and I said sir I asked you for three containers and three bags and from there on he argued, yelled, and sweared, told me and my family( which are officers) to get the F out snatch my credit card out of the young lady named Samantha hands as I was explaining to her how we were splitting the bill, she kept apologizing for his ignorance, at this point we paid and left and the bridal party that was there call the police, and they arrived and we also made a complaint they said that they receive a call almost every night because of this gentleman and that there was nothing they can do that we will have to either go on social media or online. Apparently this is an ongoing thing with this employee he needs to be fired!!! There was a young lady by the name of Jayonne, she was nice enough to credit me the gratuity ( which was never done) so she had me to follow her as we were talking when I was looking for my receipt Lorenzo walked up snatches the receipt and says that I paid and he's not giving anything back which no one was talking to him and I told him give me my receipt no one was speaking with you and he went berserk, he started slamming things coming towards me like as if he was going to hit me so I felt threatened so I grabbed the utensils to protect myself and then he went to get a chair to throw it at me so the police rushed in told everyone to leave and to shut the store down on top of that they had to calm him or he was going to be arrested, at that point I was ready to press charges against him, the police had me to speak with the young lady that called me back in the store which she called three store managers to tell them what was going on no one answered she gave me some info the contact the manager in the morning for my full refund. I'm here all the time normally during the day.. now I decide to come at night after the movies. I had the worse headache ever and asked for the but of the bread they are trying to add toast to my meal. I said no I just need to take a pill, I don't need toast. The servers are all sitting around doing nothing except our server. She is taking all 4 tables here while the others watch her struggle, as she learns as well.... the manager then tells me they don't have "that" that being the but of the bread that I am clearly looking at right now. Epitome of mediocrity. I know it's ihop and not a five star gourmet restaurant but taking a little pride in your establishment can go a long way. Food is never quite hot enough (I like mine piping hot) and if you order something with fruit, it's clear they got it right out the freezer. My strawberries are ALWAYS frozen in the middle! Waitresses are nice enough, I guess, though they don't seem to be very knowledgeable about the menu, food comes out fast, though not hot enough, it's just a mediocre joint through and through. They had a gas leak and had to evacuate the building, we were not finished with our meal and the security guard was trying to force us and other people to pay for there half-eaten meals before leaving and that we should give the money to him and he "will be right back with the change". You let my eggs get cold waiting for toast (minimally 10 min.) I did not quite hear her but I thought that waitress B said she dropped my toast originally. Only offered to replace the meal after I stacked the toast on the now cold eggs plate and asked that it be removed. I heard the waitress apoligizing to two other tables near us about late food. Maybe not her fault...but they are the point of contact, hear it all and unfortunately suffer the financial consequences.Waitress B did take the meal off the bill, but the experience was over when the eggs got cold. We dine in here once in and a while and today I had to give 5 stars! Eartis was our server, great service very attentive, the Manager on duty was my reason for this review idk if it's new management but he was great he was at the host stand greeting immediately, he was checking on tables, helping bus/prebus tables, if he heard someone needed something he was running in the kitchen getting it out right away. I work in a restaurant where management isnt nearly as helpful as I saw this man today. Looked like staff was happy and that's a great environment to be apart of. My fiances hash browns came out without the onions he asked but Eartis fixed that right away read more
