Lost power and water in our home. Came out to breakfast. IHOP was a pretty good choice. The food was good. The music was exceptional. The service was fine. She was a little busy... she had quite a few tables but she was sweet. We ordered the Breakfast Sampler, Philly Cheesesteak and country fried steak. The country fries steak was phenomenal. The fruit that my son ordered was good but it was also frozen fruit. My dulce de leches iced coffee was very sweet and very good. They do have a lot for parking. read more

Food was good, but I didn't like that they charged me 2 dollars more for turkey bacon. This doesn't make since because not only do they keep the pork bacon, but get 2 extra dollars from the customer. Not all IHOP stores do that. read more

Came here a little around 1pm so after the breakfast and lunch rush. There was still plenty of holiday decorations up which is great. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. The waitress was nice, promptly took our orders. Drinks for the table came first, coffee, juice and hot chocolate. My coffee was great, I love that they leave the carafe so I can make my own next cup. The food came out shortly after. I think my eyes were bigger than my appetite or however the saying goes. I had the French toast combo and ate the eggs, bacon and hash browns first. It was what you'd expect. The eggs were cooked to my preference. I'm not sure if I noticed any cheese though. I nibbled on the French toast and it taste good. Everyone else loved their breakfast pancakes or omelets. It took a while to find the waitress after we got our bill. Food was good our server was good as well. Problem was the hostess who that was working on Father's Day was making a big deal out of a girl dad taking his daughter to the women's bathroom. She forced us to go into the men's bathroom when i already felt uncomfortable doing that. I've Never had a problem with. Especially given that the hostess is also female you'd expect her to understand the reason. Instead, she told a server a complete stranger to take my daughter in there herself, which was beyond ridiculous . Completely unacceptable and should be resolved. read more

We had a very unpleasant experience at the IHOP in Crestwood on June 22. The manager, Melisa, was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment she approached our table--my daughter even noticed her walking over with a long, unfriendly expression. We politely asked her if she thought there was enough sauce on the Eggs Benedict, as it had barely any. Her response was short and dismissive: "It is," delivered with a bad attitude. When my husband asked for her name, she said "Melisa," and when he asked for her last name, she responded, "I don't have to answer that," and walked away in the middle of the conversation. The way she treated us was completely disrespectful and not what you'd expect from someone in a management role. We came in expecting decent service, but instead left feeling unwelcome and ignored. IHOP should seriously reconsider who they have representing their brand at this location. We won't be coming back. read more

i ordered my food at 11:15 and didn't get it until 1:10! The restaurant was crowded, but things could've been handled better. I asked the guy at the counter if my food was ready and at first he ignored me, but then answered with an attitude. i saw more food come out later and asked if it was mines and he answered no, but it was sitting on the counter. Now it's cold! We came in very excited to experience bottomless pancakes. We thoroughly looked over the menus and before we all ordered we asked specifically if the breakfast combos have bottomless pancakes. Our waitress confirmed with a stern yes. And all 6 of us proceeded to order breakfast combos with pancakes on the side(assuming they were bottomless). After the first round of pancakes was gone we asked for more and our waitress acted clueless and told us we were not allowed. We asked AGAIN if the pancakes were bottomless and she told us that our meals did not come with bottomless pancakes. What I'm wondering is why she would confirm that all the breakfast combos DID come with bottomless pancakes, and let us order knowing we specifically came in for these bottomless pancakes, then during the meal finally tell us that they are not included. We still wanted more, so we had to pay individually for more pancakes, racking up the bill heavily. I'm very disappointed in the communication, and I am not very happy to be spending 100+ dollars on some pancakes. It was a party of 12. It took them 30 minutes to get us seated . Once we were all situated the waiter took our drink order and it took him forever 30 minutes to be exact and he still forgot a drink. Then he took the food orders it took them close to an hour to make everyone's food I won't get into the details of what everyone got but nothing difficult. I got my food last and it was just a veggie omelette with unmelted cheese . I know many restaurants are struggling with staff issues but something will need to change to improve the eating out experience. Increasing the pay would probably help to retain staff is my suggestion. I wouldn't return here if the food was free that's how bad it was. read more

There's a lot to improve upon. Our waitress was good and had a good attitude. She sat us as well so service was okay. A slow start but strong finish. Wait time for our food was fine. The food itself was only fair. It definitely could look better, taste better, and have better ingredients. The restaurant smelled dirty to me when we walked in. It was a little dark, dingy too. FYI: I learned a while ago that they will not take a to go order from the phone. The prices are in line with retail establishments but the experience definitely is not. With that said I think there is still hope for this restaurant. It might be a victim of the worker shortage and post COVID economy. We'll see what happens... I would not, sadly, recommend this restaurant or return any time soon. read more

Welp. I was looking forward to the new "Gluten Friendly" pancakes here. Upon ordering, my very nice and efficient server cautioned me that the pancakes are just "friendly" and not "gluten free". To my confusion I asked her well what does that mean? She responded that the gluten friendly items just have a little bit of gluten in the ingredients. To have a gluten intolerance to begin with can be frustrating considering all the delicious food I can no longer enjoy. For restaurants to have complete disregard for food allergies is egregious. Hopefully they will never know the pain we endure for ingesting a crumb of gluten. So at the very least get your menu together. It's either gluten free or it's not. Period. Wow, this place has really gone down since I came years ago. It had a strange musky odor and there were paint chips peeling from the walls and a few water stains were on the ceiling so I'm sure there's some issues with the roof. I couldn't wait to write this review... my coworkers and I ordered thru door dash and they forgot my whole mea, I ended up going to the restaurant to pick it up while there my coworker texted me and said they forgot her cream for her pancakes. It was my first time at this location... SIMPLY WONDERFUL literally the best water i've ever had i can't wait to come back for more i even for some in a free to go cup which was so generous. Came here on a Saturday morning. The wait was about 20 minutes for 2 people. I ordered cheese eggs, elf on the shelf pancakes (which were pretty good). Its topped with a cream cheese frosting and whipped cream. The back I received was half done. I ordered more to replace it and it was over done. This was by far the worst IHOP I have been to. I went on new years day at 8:45 pm. Took a crew member 5 minutes just to seat us. The person who did seat us, was on her phone getting her hair braided by a guy. Then after we were seated. No one came to ask for what we wanted to drink. They all seemed very uninterested in serving people. Whoever runs this IHOP needs to fire or get a better night crew. We left because it seemed like no one would take our order for a while. Just in case management sees this, whoever worked On Jan 1st of 2017 at the Crestwood IHOP around 8:45 pm needs to be set straight. Worst service ever. Definitely will not return to that IHOP. When my husband inquired about it the girl said she called us while we were seating in front. But that was not true and she said sense she knew them she called them. Okay, so here it is: a completely and utterly biased review. Why, Courtney (one might ask with a look of shock upon a once-smiling face)? Two words, my friend: food poisoning. Yup, so there's that. My then-boyfriend-now-husband was also on the receiving end of said poisoning, and might I add it struck about two hours into a four hour drive to bear witness to his brother's graduation from Southern Illinois University. Ever had food poisoning on a road trip? Well, let me tell you...it is FAIL x infinity + million. Have I mentioned this event took place in 2005 and from which I am still scarred? So, yeah. Once you have food poisoning, it kinda ruins a place's mojo for ya, you know? But! Be that as it may, I still was able to give two stars for all the numerous times this IHOP has fed me back in my *ahem* younger years when I'd roll in during the wee hours of the morning, drunk off my ass. For that, I'll be forever grateful. But in case you missed the element for which I am *not* grateful, let me remind you: food poisoning. I stopped in for a quick breakfast with my boyfriend before he had to drop me off for class at St. Xavier. IHOP pancakes are great, but locations vary greatly otherwise. Our favorite location is still the one in Hoffman Estates. The service there is great, it's open 24 hours, and they give you a whole biscuit instead of half with the western skillet (it's the little things that count, ya know?!) This location in Crestwood had rushed, less than friendly service, and the food took forever. read more
