Our family of seven drove over from Murrysville for dinner tonight. IHOP is one place we know all the kids like something so it's usually a hit. The girl working was very nice and we were given a table right away. She came back after a few minutes and got our drink order and dinner order. We got a mix of breakfast and dinner foods. It came out quickly! And everything was great! Now here's the surprising part. The girl that was hosting, was also the lone server. When we paid our bill I asked her if there were 1 or 2 people in the back cooking and she said one. And he doesn't speak any English. I let her know the food was wonderful and they were doing a great job! Crazy that there's only two people in a place like that on a Friday night. And no manager. Girl looked to be around age 18. Running the place! The mood and environment was normal ihop. So nothing special to report there. Just get a few more folks working and a manager. Or make her one. She clearly knows what to do. This was an extremely cold and windy day and we were looking for a sit down meal that would warm us up a bit. When we showed up here it was not busy at all. Quick seating, menus in hand and we were on our way. Our server was amazing. She did not miss a beat, she was on top of her game and knew the dialect so we didn't have to explain 'dippy eggs.' Got our order in and we just had to wait for it to arrive. Food arrived and everything was correct. I went with the big breakfast as you can see and because I had not eaten at all that day, I ate everything you see there. I did the eggs scrambled, not dippy, with some cheese. Bacon was amazing, I like mine cooked so that it is more crispy than chewy, and they nailed it. Sausage links, hash browns, and toast were what was to be expected. And of course, the pancakes. I always save them for last. Maybe it is because that gives the butter enough time to for a bowl in the top pancake and basically becomes a liquid. My belly looked bigger when leaving here than when I walked in. I again have to say how great our server was. The food was good but not what I ordered. When I tried to ask for something I never got it. There was one server who appeared to be quiet frustrated and I did not what to be the one who made her cry. My problem is with the management. Clearly this young lady was in lover her head as she only had 3 tables and could not manage. I give this place a solid 4 even though I really did enjoy the food and want to give them a 5 there are a couple things about this place that really made my head scratch. Everything takes forever here, the other reviews about the wait times are no joke. Just to sit it takes some time and then when you're seated it takes another 5 minutes to order your food. After you've ordered you'll wait another 20 minutes and then another 10 waiting for your bill and change. Our waitress was super nice. She was friendly and was trying to be as quick as possible. There were many people here so I do understand the demand. The place was FREEZING. there was another review about this and it's 100% true. I came inside and immediately regretted not having a coat. Not sure why they do this but SOME heating is better than none. Lastly, the menu here is much smaller than other ihops I've been to. It was odd actually seeing a menu that small. Stopped by the IHOP today around 3:00 pm and looked like it was not very busy s we figured we be in and out within an hour. Got seated right away and got our drinks a short while later. As my wife was not too sure what she wanted took a short while before we ordered. We arrived at this restaurant at 8:00 am we were seated within a few minutes. However, it was obvious that they needed more help, only 2 waitresses and they were constantly on the go. We ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down but by 8:50 we had not received our food. At this point, we knew we needed to take it to go since we needed to be somewhere by 9:45. The 2 of us that wasn't driving ate in the car on the way to the appointment. The food was not very good. The bacon was beyond crispy it was burnt and very black, not very edible. My husband ordered his eggs over hard and they were still runny including the white part as well as the yolk. I had scrambled eggs which had a funny taste so I didn't eat them and I felt nauseous for a hour or so after. This is only the second time we went to this place, the last time we had a long wait to get seated and to get our food but we chalked it up to it being during the pandemic. The service was not the greatest. There were so many people waiting whenever 3 of us came in. The host tried to seat a group that came in after us first until the group spoke up and said that we came in first. I heard our server say to another table behind us "I apologize for the wait, it's not my fault" and it sounded pretty rude. As someone who has a serving job I would never say that to guests. There were several tables that sat with dirty dishes for well over 30 minutes. Our food took incredible long and was mediocre. I love the Ihop in California so my friend and I stopped here to get a bite to eat while shopping, It was the a big mistake, we ordered the eggs Benedict specials and hash browns. The service at the Greensburg Pennsylvania IHOP was terrible. They did not have that many customers. It took us about 10 minutes before they seated us and another 10 minutes to get our order in. We had to ask several times for part of our order and at the end we never did get all of it, so we just said the heck with it left, when we paid, we asked if they take the one meal off and the waiter said all we can do that the bills already printed do you want to talk to a manager? When you go out for a meal you expect to enjoy it or you would be better to just eat at home. My wife and I went to IHOP today. The service was slow and the server not capable of being a server. My wife ordered eggs with crisp bacon. She also asked that her English Muffin be cooked well. I ordered eggs over easy, crisp bacon pancakes and sour dough toast. My wife's eggs were an extremely small portion. The size of a tablespoon. Her bacon was undercooked and her English Muffin wasn't even toasted. My eggs were hard as a rock, bacon undercooked and the sourdough toast wasn't toasted. When the waiter finally came around to check on us, my wife asked for another English Muffin only toasted (that never came). Frustrated we paid the bill and left. My father was equally please with his nutty blueberry pancakes that come topped with banana slices. And, what makes these tasty jacks of flap even better? For the waitresses/ waiters I would go with a older more mature server. The younger employees here aren't that great. I used to love this IHOP, but the last few times i've been there have been a mess. The food and drinks were made incorrectly, some foods were undercooked, we weren't given silverware or napkins until after our food came out. The staff, specifically the hostess, were not very welcoming. The other two tables left before ordering because of the lack of good service. The staff kept claiming they were slammed and using that as the excuse but there were 3 tables and several staff members in sight. read more

This is my 1st time at this particular IHop. However I have been to many other IHops. My experience here was fantastic. The server was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and very satisfying for the price. We stopped in at this restaurant for dinner after spending the day at Idlewild amusement park. We had 2 hungry children with us. Kids eat free at this restaurant from 4 to 9:00 p.m. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the kids meals. They were large and great quality, certainly did not look like free meals. Everything was made the same as the regular menu items. I have been places where kids meals are just stuff they throw in the microwave out of the freezer.
