Ate breakfast here while in town on a trip back for a visit. Food wasn't bad. Typical breakfast fair, eggs cooked properly, toast was decent, sausage was ok, wife's pancakes were a little over cooked but still good enough. Waitress was really nice and did a great job! Giving her 4 stars. Forgot her name now though. She was older and had two tone hair. Did an excellent job! We felt bad for her though because it was fairly busy & it seems she was running two sections by herself. I hope they don't pool tips. The only other waitress we saw took a guy who we assumed must be a regular or someone she knew back from the podium to a booth, seated him, sat down with while he looked at the menu, then took his order. Only seemed to be worried about this guy and one other table and then complained loudly so everyone could hear about how it was her day off and how she was their supervisor and had to come in because somebody called off sick. But hey good old Dennis got the personal touch! Music was way too loud. Odd people shambling around the restaurant non stop. Sadly not a lot of other options around that aren't fast food without having to drive farther. Two stars seems to be a fair assessment for this Bob Evans. read more

We ordered the family pot roast to go. We get home and the meat is disgusting and barely any onions. Zero carrots in it. Yes none! Green bean family side was only half filled. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were sitting out for hours. Everything cold and stale. No way it feeds four more like two. We threw in the trash. Just close this place already! read more

We sat for10 minutes. I finally asked the hostess if that was usual. The server said she did not see us. It took another ten minutes before we got drinks and put in our order. Finally, after 45 minutes our food arrived. The onion rings were burnt. The chopped salad wasn't chopped and the loaded fries were so cold the cheese didn't even melt. Since we do not get to go out much, this was a real disappointment. Fortunately, we are not out this way much so we will not visit again The place was clean. If it could put 0 or -2 I would. The ONLY thing nice was our greeter. Now mind you, there were maybe a total of 12 people eating. After waiting almost 10 minutes our server, who acted like we were disrupting her conversation came and got our drink order. Well, we ordered our food when our drinks came, because my husband and I thought she'd be another 10 minutes. Food came...... my husbands was all right. I ordered the sausage, gravy & biscuits. Ha! The cheese was microwaved which took the gravy away... I had to ask for more gravy. The bill........ waited, waited, waited, waited... turned around and seen a whole group of ladies just chatting away... I asked for a manager, and they looked at me that I had 3 heads. When he finally came out.. I flipped explained about the food, the SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE, and now they are just standing around when you have only 12 people in the restaurant. Breakfast was ice cold. Cook didn't know how to cook sunny side up eggs. They were raw. Potato's were like stale. Only received one refill in coffee. Whole experience was terrible. Even found chicken or turkey or whatever it was in the sausage gravy. read more

At this Bob Evans restaurant, I ordered food for takeout, so I can comment only on the food and not on the interior of the restaurant or the staff. For my breakfast, the bacon was perfectly crispy, the eggs were properly sunny-side-up, the potato chunks were OK, the mixed fruit tasted fresh, and the pancakes were very large and had sweet syrup, blueberries, and warm mushy bananas. For my husband's breakfast, he enjoyed his omelette scramble and his toast, and the restaurant somehow gave him a lot of extra bacon for free. Bob Evans also sells lunch and dinner foods, such as chicken, salads, soups, turkey, burgers, sandwiches, and steaks. Prices were reasonably low. read more

I was surprised when I read through the previous reviews. I don't recall ever having a bad experience here. The food is well prepared and plentiful. Servers are very friendly and pleasant. The dining area is warm and comfortable. They even have a separate area for private dining. My comfort food is the chicken strips, steamed carrots and broccoli and the warm buttered yeast rolls. read more

It's been a few years since I have come to this restaurant. To be honest, I wasn't enthusiastic about coming here at all as I had experienced bad, rude service and less than average food. My husband had been given a gift card by a friend for fixing a piece of farm equipment. He wanted to use it. So on one of the coldest days, we ventured in to see what Bob Evans had to offer. I have to admit that things have improved since my previous visits. We were seated quickly and our server was friendly and attentive. The menu consists mostly of comfort food. Husband chose the cod dinner and I picked the chicken tenders. We were happy to see the changes for the better. I can recommend their blueberry bread. It was my favorite part of the meal. I will cautiously give 3 stars and wait to see what our next visit will be like. read more

So it's Thanksgiving day and we ordered online for 4 PM to turkey dinners for curbside. They wouldn't answer the phone so we went in and the place is packed with people waiting for their orders. The lady next to us said her order was supposed to be ready at 2 PM and it's now 4:30 PM. Why would they continue to take orders if they couldn't even fill the ones they had from two hours before. I GOT FOOD POISONING and so did my grandma. They have mainly older clientele and I hope they realize that could have killed a senior citizen (dehydration). The place looks clean but obviously isn't. I liked the resturant initially, it was homey and it had good prices but the food had little taste. Then late that night we woke up with all the symptoms of food poisoning. Usually our go to restaurant when in Greensburg. Taken to a dirty booth. Waited much longer than normal. Plates delivered with cold food. Most of the meals were missing items. Toast was so hard you couldn't bite into it. Asked for refill of coffee 3 times before giving up. Asked for 2 separate checks and all came on one. Kids were charged as adult meals. Last few times I got take out they either forgot something or didn't cook something right .not very impressed with the food anymore how hard is it to cook home fries.i really don't want to eat half raw potatoes. i am just so so disappointed!! i went to breakfast with my wife, had been homebound for such a long time.. i first asked the hostess to skip a booth so i could observe the social distancing that is required, so the hostess did that. there were so many tables and booths open. so the very next person they seat, they sit behind me.. i m like what the heck!! so my wife orders bacon on the side of her pancakes , now they are known for good bacon and sausage, the bacon had a fuel smell to it, and tasted horrible, so we ordered it fresh, well it comes back hot, but still stinks, im not sure what was up, but when im leaving this female staff in the kitchen is eyeballing me. friendly staff huh! dont go hear stay at home!! read more

This meal was somewhat of a miss for me. The service was polite and attentive, but the food was underwhelming. The cornmeal mush and the one properly cooked slice of bacon were both good, but the burnt bacon, unseasoned hash browns, and unseasoned eggs (that had to be sent back once for being cooked to the wrong temperature) left much to be desired. The restaurant was not crowded at all and it took almost five minutes for our server to come over to get our drink order. We heard the cook call twice that her (our) order was up. It amazes me how variable Bob Evans food can be based on location. I go to Bob Evans for comfort food and my food of choice is biscuits and country gravy and the home fries. Some locations can actually mess this up. At the Greengate Mall location the first issue is that the gravy is served in two small cream boats. The menu lists it as a bowl of gravy and your lucky to get a cup this way. At times the gravy tastes better than others. I don't know if they make it onsite or not but this is the reality. The potatoes were fine but the biscuits were not as fluffy as I've had and seemed dryer. The manager was cordial and popped into the table as they do, I mentioned the gravy shortage and he said just ask for more. That's not the point, provide me what I ordered. I'll avoid this location. read more

Long wait, terrible service, below average food....worst Bob Evans experience I have had. I questioned the bill with the manager Chris and was given attitude. She scanned the bill and said that's the correct price....I asked to see a menu and was given attitude. So I obtained a menu and the price on the menu was different than what was in the computer....wonder how many times this happens and how many items on the menu have a different price in the computer. Mistakes can happen but the attitude and nastiness I can do without....I won't return. read more
