I have been here a few times. Everytime I go it is very empty and I really don't understand why. I do usually gonin the evenings, so that could be why. The place looks clean and we have never waited to be seated. The staff has been kind to us everytime. I think their food is very good and they carry gluten free pancakes, (they are good!). Ate there with a team from work. Two new employees ordered pancakes. They were served on plates that were smaller than the pancakes. They both poured syrup that ended up all over the table, all over us, all over the floor. It was a mess! One guy, we'll call him "ski" got stuck to his seat and missed work as a result. We went to this location on the October 30th around 7pm. We arrived to no other cars in the lot and not a single customer inside. I've been looking forward to having an Ihop in town and had patiently awaited their opening. After only 10 days of business, this place is running as fine as a Swiss watch! Came in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. They are seating people at every other table due to the COVID, so we had a brief wait, but only about 5 minutes. When we were seated, Nancy took our order. She was very personable, quick, and seemed like she had worked here for years. I ordered the Belgium Waffle combo with blueberries and whipped cream, along with scrambled eggs and bacon. It was soooooo good. The eggs taste like they were cooked in real butter, they were that good! Wife ordered a short stack of buttermilk pancakes and was not disappointed. The general manager, Jim, stopped by to check on us too. It became readily apparent that Nancy's great attitude and customer service is a product of the environment that Jim sets for the place. Walking up to the building we can see maybe four tables filled, so we're expecting quick turnaround. Inside, there's a manager at the register and three parties in the lobby. We assume they are waiting on to go orders, not the deal-they're waiting on tables. Manager tells us the wait to be seated is twenty minutes, they are short staffed. We say that's fine, we'll wait outside. Fifty minutes later, two other parties have come in, hear about the wait and left. Two of the three parties who were waiting before us have given up. But we are ready for pancakes! Finally, the third party is sat and the lobby was clear so we go inside. We sit inside for 10 minutes, a server comes up to cash out a table and manage a takeaway order. She never acknowledges us. So after an hour, we leave.and go next door to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The host who greeted us was also our waitress, which she was fine but you can tell she was struggling and/ or not properly trained to wait tables. There was only 3 or so tables sat when we walked in so they weren't super busy.. Our order was taken fast however it took around 30 minutes from sit down to get our drinks. Table had a dirty tray on it as we were seated, menus were sticky/caked in food. Overall very dirty. The tea was absolutely disgusting. Tasted like it was fermenting. There was yelling in the kitchen half way through our meals.. just an over all bad experience. I understand with covid being understaffed, everywhere is dealing with this. I stopped here on a Friday night around 11pm along with an unexpected small crowd of people as well. Guess there was a high school event that just let out. They only had 2 people serving at the time and who were obviously overwhelmed but they got control of the situation and our wait time wasn't very long at all.
