Ive been to First Watch several times, but never to this location. What a great location. It was bright and clean and welcoming. I came close to opening, so it wasn't crowded when I arrived, but picked up while I was there. I was greeted immediately with a nice smile and friendly smile. My server was very attentive and kind. My food was delicious. I chose a trifecta breakfast. The chicken apple sausage was so tasty. My Belgian waffle was the best I've had in quite a while. My scrambled eggs were decent. I really liked my tangerine dream drink also. The sweet foam at the top was a nice touch. The restroom was very clean also. I would absolutely return. read more

I love First Watch! Listen, 3 stars is good. It's a sturdy place which says the food is consistent, stable, hearty, reliable. Don't downplay 3 star reviews. Anyone who only gives 4/5 or 5/5 food doesn't know a damn thing about food or service. First watch has perfected the 'one-off diner' experience in a chain. They have a great, full menu, like what Denny's used to be, only on steroids. Their menu: They offer all the favorites. From Eggs Benedict, to Sausage and Gravy to your usual breakfast staples you'd expect from a breakfast-diner experience. Although they do serve sandwiches, I don't recommend them. Breakfast/brunch food is their strong suit. Their pancakes are nice and fluffy and they offer a variety of them from blueberry to banana. Waffles galore, and toast with jam. They know how to make eggs any way you want them. The Ambiance: It's very much a diner experience with diner service. It's passable. That's all you need. Not exceptional, not poor. The good news is that no matter what location. You go to, (I've been to 3), there is always a short wait list, which is a good sign. You're never waiting long, just be patient. Been here numerous times since its opening. Heard it was originated from the South. The menu is so electric and changed for the season. I've never had a bad experience or a bad plate of food. I've gotten something different every time and it always hits. The juice bar is fabulous. Always refreshing and healthy. They have alcohol as well but it never seems the right time when I'm there. The Watermelon Wake Up and the Kale Tonic are my favorite. The Million dollar bacon should be illegal it is so good. The only small almost negative thing I could say is that, most of the food and menu is farm fresh and caged and healthy, which is great but it does tend to raise prices a little bit. You are paying for great service and food so it totally makes sense. A solid 9.3 out of 10. Give it a shot. read more

A little pricey, but the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my chickichanga, which was covered in a flavorful Vera Cruz sauce. The Vera Cruz sauce at First Watch is not to be confused with the tomato-based veracruz sauce. The sauce at First Watch was like a tasty hollandaise. The potatoes were also well-seasoned and well-cooked. I also liked my Purple Haze drink, which looked and tasted good. It was sweet and refreshing. I wish it came with free refills but alas. Service was also friendly. Though it was busy, our waitress came to check up on us a few times and refilled our waters. The restaurant was clean. OK let's first start with the atmosphere. I'd give it a 4.5. Very pretty, decorated cute, decent amount of seating, a little loud though. We stopped in about 11am on a Saturday and had a 20 minute wait to be seated. It took a little for our waitress to come by as well. But once the order was placed the drinks and food came out in an acceptable amount of time. However it did take a while to get the check. Now for the food. There is NOTHING vegan. I repeat, NOTHING VEGAN. Yes there are vegetarian options but nothing vegan. So I sat there with a bloody mary, minus the bacon, yet still paid the with bacon price . A great place for brunch. Food was delicious, juice was fresh, ambiance was rustic but a little loud and very clean. Service was quick and polite. A little on the pricey side for breakfast food and portions weren't huge but everything seemed to be high quality. Definitely recommend the million dollar potatoes. Several of us came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning... getting there around 8AM, they weren't busy at all and we walked right in and got seated immediately. But by the time we left, they were packed. Menu is the typical menu at FirstWatch restaurants and was decent. I tried their crunch breakfast tacos and they were good. It took forever to come out but what I can't figure out is on a day where it's 32° out how I can get soup that is barely warmed. I'm not saying hot. I'm not saying boiling -- not tepid --never would have to blow on. It's barely warm. It's almost on the chilly side and that's coupled with the grilled roast beef and horseradish sandwich which is also ice cold and it's on very hard sourdough bread. We were told Sunday is busy. 2 of us received the food, the third waited an additional 10 minutes. I thought maybe the food would make up for it. It did not. Sandwich was as sad as it looked. It was super busy when we came in so keep that in mind. As i was waited for 35 minutes, the host called my name to go to our table. A woman take the liberty to sit down at our table in front of us. The host doesn't make her move. When we finnaly did get a table our server approached and said "what do you want" which was very rude and gave a negative feel overall. This was my second visit to the new First Watch in Middleburg Heights and everything was Excellent. Both times I sat at the bar and was served immediately. Servers were attentive and personable. Food and drinks were brought out quickly. I ordered the Tropicsl Sunrise juice and it was full of fresh mango, pineapple, strawberry and lime juice well blended and frothy. For lunch I got the pick 2 with veggie soup that was full of delicious veggies and the turkey avocado blt sandwich that was full of sliced Turkey bacon and avocado. I have been to the Middleburg Heights location before and had positive experiences. This time was different. From the time I walked in the door, I was ignored. The restaurant was at most half full, with several staff members standing around. I was there for a quick brunch before an appointment. Someone finally asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar,which I did after standing by the hostess stand for several minutes. Once I sat at the bar, the person who was there left and no one came back, no one greeted me or even made eye contact. Another server came over to talk to the one other person who was there eating his meal but totally ignored me. There were also dirty dishes on the bar. I'm not sure what the problem was, I wasn't rude, my grooming was fine, I don't know anyone who works there and I. Don't live in the area. Being ignored is the worst kind of treatment a restaurant can give to it's customers. I hope the service improves and that no one else gets treated this way. Went here today with a couple girlfriends for breakfast. We have gone to the Rocky River location many times. Long waits to sit and for your meal. The service at this location was exceptional and the food was delicious and brought out quickly. We will definitely be attending brunch again.
