Here Today! It must have been too early in the morning for the host/waitress and cook or maybe their in a relationship and issues spilling over into their JOB RESPONSIBILITIES. I tell her 2 and I'm waiting on my co-worker who through the big window is messing around in the van taking his time getting out. The waitress looks at me rolls her eyes takes 2 menus and flop them on a table of HER choice. I stand there looking like, umm lady that means I'm NOT ready to be seated and usually they don't seat incomplete parties. He comes in I relocate our table, we hadn't picked up our menus good before she comes over to take our order. I hesitate to order because she and the cook wouldn't get a chance to booger up my omelette but we had a long journey to Washington D.C. Against my better judgment I ordered quickly hoping to just go with the flow and smile at strife at its onset. She returns with our food, my coworker dives right in without saying grace which is a warning, who are these people? U DONT EAT OTHER PEOPLES FOOD WITHOUT BLESSING UR PLATE, shoots he looks like Santa Clause so he should believe in saying THANKS. Let me tell yall this, the folks up here are sumtin else (yes sumtin), I'm going to keep my opinion on these folks out of this review, but I keep telling yall I DON'T MAKE THESE THINGS UP! Wateva, she comes back and slams my plate on the table and fixed her vocal cords to tell me "The cook forgot the cheese in your omelette, I put some in there". I flip open the omelette and sure enough, there's some shredded cheese placed inside, NOT melted. I smile and say "I like my cheese melted and some on top". Why ole girl picks up my plate and says " I'll put it in the microwave" and off she went. I'm toooo out done, stick a toothpick in me I'M TOO DONE! She returns, I say "Girl, stop'it, what city and state am I in?". She looks confused by my question, I didn't open my mouth after that I smile and pushed the plate forward. Our waitress was attentive, however from being interrupted while eating to another waitress yelling at one of the cooks in the back saying "B***h you had to make more grits", to being able to see the server area behind the counter and seeing waitresses cut fruit without gloves and having others stand next to her while touching the bottom of their shoes, hands in their hair while hovering over food items. I wish we would've seen this before our food had came out because we most likely would've left and gone elsewhere. I've never really been impressed with this particular ihop location in the past but this weekend they hit an all time low when they cooked PLASTIC (presumably a glove or Saran Wrap) INTO my pancake. The plastic had gotten into the batter somehow and the chef cooked it right into the pancake. If this pancake would have been served to a child it could have been a major choking hazard not to mention who knows what the material was or what contaminates it had on it. The manager did comp the meal but I had to tell her to make sure she takes care of the remaining batter in the back to prevent anyone else from having a pancake like that if there was more. Highly disgusting. Not to mention overdone eggs, burnt and cold hash browns and a waitress that was sweating alllllll over the food she was delivering. I'll be avoiding this place from now on. I don't trust the sanitary values of the establishment in the slightest. read more

The pancakes are very light and fluffy, though they are not very filling. You have to order many of their pancakes to satisfy your hunger (I posted a picture below exemplifying this). The place is moderately clean, and the staff is nice, though the lighting could be better. Overall, I'd say this is a decent casual breakfast place if you do not want to spend a lot of money and are not picky about the cleanliness of the environment. read more

As this was my first trip to an IHOP I had zero expectations for this place other than the one that they should have tons of pancake options (and they did!). I did not, however, expect to be served a rotten lemon slice with my tea. Not a very good way to start my experience... I ordered chicken and waffles and got a little nervous since their QC was so low. However, it was a pretty good dish and I was really happy I didn't get food poisoning! The best were the espresso pancakes and these caramel butter toffee ones that I cant remember the name of. the coffee is also pretty good. My kid wanted to go to IHOP for her birthday and it was a really disappointing experience. We showed up at like 4:40pm and the place was empty, so we thought we'd get fast service. Nope. Our waitress did not seem to care about her job. Wasn't friendly. Took forever to bring our food, like over 20 minutes and by that time there was only 2 other tables and they had a different waitress. She wasn't wearing her mask over her nose. I kept seeing her on her phone. My husband had to eventually go up to the counter to ask for salt and bbq sauce because she didnt come back to our table to check in or do refills or anything. While on a road trip to Indianapolis, I stopped in for a late breakfast at IHOP. Granted, I had to ask the waitress what city I was in, but Perrysburg does seem like an alright place to be. This IHOP location seemed larger than the other locations I've been to in the past, and was very clean. The waitress was nice and patient with my extreme indecisiveness that day. I ended up ordering a pretty straight-forward breakfast: Bacon, eggs, French toast, pancakes, and sausages with orange juice, which got wolfed down pretty quick. Jasmine was our server and was fast and friendly. Although we encountered a crowded lobby when arriving we were seated in less than five minutes. We will return. I generally really like IHOP, but this one is pretty mediocre. I am obsessed with their pancakes and butter pecan syrup. Usually the pancakes are good sized, but here my husband and I received a small stack of children's sized pancakes. I am not saying that sarcastically. Our pancakes were the same size as our daughters pancakes, but ours were about $5 more. We asked the waitress, Sara, as to why our pancake portion was the same size as a kids portion and her response was "I don't know, maybe a different guy is making them today"...... Service is terribly slow here, and not really all that great. No management in sight. Half of the food came out cold, and it took forever. They forgot the youngest kids meal and it took ten minutes for that to come out. By then he had eaten from everyone else's food and was full. Oh, and they apparently clear the plates when you're leaving, empty cups and plates sit at the table while you're eating. This is the third time I've been here with this type of experience.
