I went to the 5th Street Pub for the first time. I'd the say the atmosphere was fun and the staff very friendly. I ordered the Ruben sandwich, which is one of my favorites, but this one was just average. The bread seemed toasted in a toaster oven and not grilled as part of the sandwich. The corned beef wasn't very tender but the biggest problem was the sauerkraut. It was so over powering that I couldn't taste the corned beef very well. They also have a full bar offering seasonal cocktails, local beers on tap, and wines. Iv'e been a number of times in the past and always recommend trying their Pub Dip *chefs kiss* This visit, my husband and I stopped in for a lunch as we were passing through the area. I had to order their Meatball Pizza as it's a favorite of mine! The fresh Ricotta and Meatball chunks play nicely off each other. They make their ranch in house so I also always order a side of it to dip my pizza in. My husband got the Melty Mozzarella Sandwich after hearing their soup of the day was tomato bisque. In the area on our roadtrip east and needed dinner. Friends recommended this place in the cute downtown area of Perrysburg. We got seated quickly in the bar area and put our order in with the waitress. I opted for the meatball hogie with spicy pork meatballs, spicy red sauce and provolone. It was very good but perhaps could have used more sauce. My wife got the ruben and probably should have sent it back since the bread was way over grilled and thus dry and hard. The fries were the only plus for her. Afterward we mentioned this to the waitress and barely got a reaction. Our bad that we didn't call out the issue immediately. Another great visit here. We were told our wait would be forty five to fifty minutes and it was twenty. We had the Real Deal Margarita and a Ahi Tuna Salad. My wife ate the whole pizza and left me with the salad!!!! She never eats that much, but she loves their pizza. The salad was really good although the Tuna was on the spicy side and I like spicy a lot. It also was a little over priced for the portion size, it was still good though. Our waitress Makenna was outstanding! She took very good care of every table she had and went out of her way for my wife helping deciding which beer to get next because they were out of her fav. She brought a sample of the one my wife chose with out us even asking for her to do so. More businesses need servers like this young lady. read more

Having moved to the area from one of the top beer cities in the nation, I've been aching for a place with good beer selection along with great food. This place is definitely top of my list. Their pizza is top notch, and the Italian sandwich is, too. The menu has a good variety, and like I said, what they've got on tap shouldn't disappoint. I had a Unicorn Farts sour with my Buffalo mozzarella pie that was pretty alright. Ambiance and service were great. We took our infant and staff/diners alike all seemed super happy to see a baby lol I didn't see a patio, but it was also almost 100 degrees when we went. Would love to have their pizza and a cold beer on a little bit of a cooler day, sitting outside. Either way, though, great spot. read more

They do have an extensive menu, but when I saw the woodfired oven and the woodfired pizzas, that was going to be my only choice. I went with the prosciutto pizza and had anchovies added to it. The crust is out of this world and everything about the pizza was absolute perfection. Another person in my party had the chicken balls and I got to taste one. Busy weekend evening in summer, we sat on the back patio which is almost like a fenced in backyard with picnic tables- it was a beautiful evening and a fun place to go for dinner in the summer with great drinks and food. First time here I had the pizza with pepperoni and capicola. Sadly, I did not enjoy it. I'm a fan of this style of pizza, but I found this particular one to be a little bland. It was sort of like an oversized Lunchable. Second time I had the grilled chicken sandwich. It tasted good, but was a bit watery. I could have done without the fries. They were pretty unremarkable and would have been satisfied with chips. Beer selection is pretty good. Both times I was happy with what I got and there's something for every taste. Bathroom situation has a lot to be desired. Nowhere to put your bag while using the sink, and the stall door wouldn't shut. read more

This is very expensive for what you actually get. When the pizza arrived it was very small. We paid with the tip included $54 dollars for 2 pizzas that were in between a small and medium size regular pizza. We ordered a house salad and an Ortolano pizza, and they split the salad for us without even being asked. The portion was generous. The pizza was delicious--nicely cooked and quality ingredients. My husband had a Guinness nitro which was $5.50 during Happy Hour. The waitress was wonderful! Patient, efficient, and attentive, she checked back on us often, even though the restaurant was busy. Overall this gets 5 stars in the category of neighborhood pub/restaurant. Not fine dining but it's the pizza comes really close. Super friendly service & inviting atmosphere. I dropped into this pub for a brew and a bite to eat and walked out a big fan. On a Monday night at about 5:30 during football season the place was about half full, and service was good at the bar. Really nice selection of local beers, a few premium spirits and regular mainstream drinks as well. The menu has something for everyone but leans heavily Italian. I had the margarita pizza (Neapolitan style) and they nailed it! The outer crust was puffy and a tiny bit crispy just as it should be. Bottom crust could've beef a tad mor charred but still a VERY good pie. I would not hesitate at all to come back to this pub, or bring a friend here. The meatballs looked really good so I might try those if I'm ever in the area again. read more

I wondered what I would find visiting this location for the first time. We had wanted to go to Swig, but they had a 30 minute wait, so 5th Street was the 2nd choice on our list. Glad we got to try. The location is in a very small store front with maybe five stores. 5th Street takes up I think 2 or three of those. Walking in wasn't what one would expect. The decor was such that you almost felt as though you were inside someone's house. I thought that was a unique way to partition the location. Bar area had a nice sized bar with enough TVs to enjoy sports if that is your thing. Draft list was pretty good. Some typical breweries that I know of from home or other locations, with a few local ones that I hadn't heard of before. The food was good. They had a cool Build Your Own Meatball offering that I didn't get, but I would the next time. Neat little idea that you don't see pretty much anywhere. I had the Pub Burger which was well prepared. I asked for Medium Rare and that's what I got. Usually that never happens, so really good there. The only downfall for me was that while the burger was cooked well and was juicy, but it lacked some seasoning, and there was really very little pub cheese dip on the burger. The bacon slices were big and since I love bacon, that was enjoyable. :) I would still get it again even with that. My son got a Margherita pizza and he loved it. 12 inch pizza was gone in his belly before I knew it. I will say it looked great with small pieces of mozz all over it and basil. Yum! A little different as most Margherita pizzas have slices of tomato on them, but this one didn't. Certainly not a knock on the pizza as he said it was one of the best pizzas his has had. Just an observation. Our sever was very good. Quick enough for our liking, and helpful when ordering. Good job there. No doubt on the list of places to visit the next time we are in the area. We heard a lot about this place so we decided to give it a try since it's in our new neighborhood. My family really enjoyed it. We were greeted right away and taken to an outside table per her request. our waitress was so sweet and friendly and brought us our drinks right away. She even made suggestions on the menu since we had never been there. My salad was fresh, the ranch dressing was a little bit salty but it was on the side so you could put as much as you want on. We also had the chicken Parm as well as cheesy breadsticks. Well delicious, the breadsticks were basically cheese pizza with marinara on the side. Decided to try this restaurant out after seeing it a few months ago and I will definitely go back. The service was great along with the ambiance of the restaurant giving off a small town pizza pub vibe. It was also nice to be able to see into the kitchen and watch your pizza cook in their wood fire oven. Their home cooked chips and dip was pretty good and I don't usually like chips. I also enjoyed my pesto covered meatball sandwich. Tasty. The buffalo meatballs were disappointing. So was the arancini. Both lacked flavor. My family raved about the salads! This was an average experience for me.
