Good service and good food. Very nice server named Donna! Would recommend this location again

These were supposed to be plain pancakes but they had bits of chocolate in there...

My girlfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. We had to wait over an hour for our food and it wasn't even that busy. Not only that, but the food was less than stellar. What could had been made at home in 10 mins and for a much cheaper cost seemed much more appealing to us. IHOP, you really need to get things in order. I'm not one to be left an unsatisfied customer, but this experience was very unpleasant. Bless the young waitress's heart for attempting to accommodate to us but, gosh, this was bad. Not recommended.

Short stack ($6.99)

In my memory, IHOP has been opened since forever and honestly the only time I come here is for National Pancakes day for free pancakes and a good cause xD. Often we don't just go for the pancakes and order other items off the menu, which is what we did again this year. Let's start with the pancakes though. This year was a free short stack ($6.69). Mines were very fluffy and moist, I loved smothering them with the four different syrups offered (original, blueberry, strawberry... And I forgot the last one xD). Perhaps the batter wasn't mixed very well, but my parents had pancakes that were full of baking powder and not very pleasing to the taste buds. Grandma loves French fries so we got her a Senior's Fish and Chips ($8.99), it comes with one piece of fish, quite generous portion-wise for the price. Fish was crispy and not overly oily, a bit heavy on the batter, but the fish was moist and flakey. Nicely seasoned. The fries were thick-cut and crispy :) The Senior's Tilapia Florentine ($9.99) was ordered for OldBean because he loves fish. This was surprisingly decent. The fish fell apart a little but went well with the sauce. Lots of spinach to keep up regular ;) I enjoyed the mashed potatoes but felt the gravy was a little underseasoned bland. Elephant got their Big Steak Omelette ($14.49) and this was quite big. It was topped with extra steak bites on top. I the meat was a bit dry and tough. Elephant didn't use his salsa so it kind of felt detached from the dish a little. I had a craving for eggs Benny, so naturally, I got the Eggs Benedict ($11.99). The hollandaise sauce was light and my egg yolks were a nice thick runny texture. Not a fan of their hash though, it was rather dry--much prefer chunks of potato. Service was wonderful, waitresses were friendly and helpful. I didn't know how to do the whole donation thing and they explained it patiently to me. Until next year!

Too bad the service here is a joke!

Well let's just say we got greeted, and sat down as you would at any cookie cutter ihop! We checked out the menu and decided we wanted to order our usual along side our coffee but wanted to add a fun twist! My husband and I decided we wanted to share a kids grilled cheese sandwich to start! The waitress told us we can't order this because we are not 12 or younger. Okay fine, we said not wanting to argue with her so my husband asked to order the "adult" size. She told us that adults can't have grilled cheese sandwiches! I was totally outraged and decided to step in, and ask why grow ups are forbidden to have grilled cheese and she cut me off and said sorry we don't serve grilled cheese and can't change what's on our menu! Well they have ham melts for grown ups, take off the damn ham! I didn't feel like wasting my breath and had asked for our two coffee bills, and we decided to go to dedutch across the street! I'm Writing this review not because I'm mad but I'm shocked at how stupid it is for a business to lose customers that would have spent $50 bucks of more based on their age! Shame on you and your company, if you were smarter I'm sure your establishment would have had more then 4 old ladies seated throughout the restaurant at the time of our visit!

Cold food anyone???? Or wait how about your 2 year old toddler finding BROKEN glass in your booth and on the floor ???? Yup found glass in the booth and on the floor staff was sorry but then after this and our meals were comp'd then my free meal was cold I told the server I'm not waiting anymore for a new meal so she was like ok well you guys can just leave since your meals are free anyway! Really that's your answer WOw IHOP how are you in business health standards ...

Discrimination of age. I don't feel I have same rights as a 12 year old.

The menu had a good selection and the servers try to offer drinks and fruit bowl upgrades. The PurWestern Omelette ($19.75) was pretty over done so not for my liking. I was hoping for light a fluffy and omelette. The Canadian Breakfast ($20.75) was pretty tasty with 2 eggs, 3 Bacon, 1 breakfast sausage and ham and I chose the half waffle, cubed potatoes, fruit plus toast. The waffle tasted great but the ham was very thin. The restaurant was busy and loud but food didn't take long. They have high chairs and a kids menu but no plastic cutlery and small bowls for kids.

The eggs were some of the orangest, most vibrant yolks I've ever seen (a sign of quality, for sure), and they were perfectly poached. The cheeseburger patty underneath was super flavorful--well-seasoned, juicy, and honestly just worked so well with the hollandaise. It's a bold dish and they absolutely nailed it. The quality of everything stood out--fresh ingredients, great flavor, and a presentation that actually made me pause before digging in. Inside, the restaurant is gorgeous--bright, clean, and stylish without trying too hard. The vibe was relaxed but modern, and it's the kind of place you could bring a friend for a casual breakfast or stay and sip coffee for a while. Definitely a standout spot. Highly recommend!

They have all the classic items. All the Fusion items for both breakfast and lunch, and if that's not enough for ya....they have a section where you can make your own design of dishes, and if that still isn't enough to satisfy you...they have a lengthy separate list of side items you can choose from. I mean it was beautiful. I don't think I've ever been turned on by a menu before. .....No, nothing weird....just a bloody awesome menu. ;) The Make Your Own - Anyone that knows anything about scrambled eggs, knows that they have to be juicy. I asked for soft-scramble and that's what I got. Yummm. Herb potatoes were tasty, seasoned and non-greasy. Artisan Multigrain Sourdough....served with cute little basked of jam and peanut butter and creamed butter (see pic.) Spicy Italian Sausage.....Yummm. French Toast with fresh seasonal fruits. Perfectly cooked. (you'd be surprised how many places don't get French Toast right - raw in the middle and soggy on the outside.) Service - Everything you could ask for...friendly, professional, attentive. The Space - Everything you could ask for...bright, clean, chill. My next brunch out will be there. Again. That's how good it was.

Oh my gosh, we were out this way, without much breakfast had, so looking for brunch-ish? Ronny's was outstanding! We missed the lunch rush I think, more were leaving than coming in, but I'd say they do a good lunch, or people wouldn't be there. Did I mention they are out of the way a bit? Don't let that deter you, go there, and you'll be like us, will find a way to decide, we need to go to Maple Ridge! I love the interior with a splash of Italia, but decor is full of understanding what the purpose is. It's about feeding people in the traditional sense. You can eat in, take away ready, or take it home warm it up and feed your family. How refreshing it is for us that love the old world mindset. K's Chef's Special with fries was so good. The fries remained hot until the last one was devoured, how do they do that? She ate half the sandwich and had to box the other half. My borscht side with my Turkey BL sandwich was so good I also brought a half sandwich home. I could have finished it, but we would have had to stop for a nap prior to getting all the way home. This might surprise those that have read this far, but we are going back for sure, and you should find a reason to do the same.
