They say they are on Skip the Dish, they lie. Uber Eats, "Umm yes." They lie. Eventually you find out they have their own app, which they don't mention to you at all. This place hates to deliver is all I can think. Prior to covid, they refused to get on delivery apps, yet the one in White Rock did. The food is good, don't get me wrong. And you can phone in an order and go pick it up yourself... but this location and delivery is nothing but a headache. So you install the Ihop Canada app... order, then try to check out. Everything apple pay is instantly declined. So you enter your card natively. Delivery time now says no. I didn't pick a delivery time, the app did! Push out delivery an hour, FINALLY it takes the order. It shouldn't take 30 minutes to find out you lied about the standard delivery apps and then didn't tell me about your own app! The food is here, and I was sent the wrong omelette. I ordered Spicy Poblano, I got some beef omelette with avocado. :( My coffee is an 8 ounce instead of the 16 ounce I ordered. :( I'm so dissatisfied with this right now. read more

Bad service. I ordered fluffy thick French toast egg combo with strawberry. Jan 2nd 2023. I didn't get what I ordered. The waitress brung me regular thin toast dipped in egg and covered in A thick strawberry jam syrup. Clearly the kitchen ran out of the thick French toast or something and instead of the server being honest about it she tried to pass off some regular toast as French toast. But it was nothing like the picture in the menu or the French toast other people were eating. Mine was just wrong and the server knew it. I didn't make a complaint because I was with company. But it was disappointing. It was soggy and unappetizing. The server (an Indian girl with glasses and jewelry) was dishonest by knowingly giving me the wrong order and ignored our table the rest of the time because she probably was afraid someone would say something. Everyone at the table noticed it was not the French toast I ordered. It looked weird. We waited quite a while for the bill. It didn't come so we eventually went up to the front. After a wild night (as Trey A. mentioned below), I have headed to IHOP for a little comfort and love - and by god I was not disappointed. To say the rooty tooth fresh and fruity pancakes were nummies would be an understatement. Amazing food, even better atmosphere and the waitresses are serving smiles. As I watched the chefs work their craft in the kitchen, they were demanding, yet gentle and I could say the same about uncle Festers chocolate ice scream shake ;) . Ran by high schoolers or grumpy grandmas. While you're waiting for your seat you'll see approximately 10+ dishes waiting at the kitchen bar for waiters to pick them up. No wonder all the other reviews complain of not getting their food on time. Oh and btw there is an option to sit at the bar right away should you feel like it, but apparently none of the hostesses will tell you unless you ask for it. After waiting what felt like eons for a seat, we waited another 20 minutes for our grumpy waiter to come and ask us if we wanted drinks and if we were happy ready to order. I had an online coupon but apparently they dont take anything unless its printed out! This was an extended family brunch, with a five and eight year old. Three generations at one table. Taking an average opinion we arrive at a 3.0 rating. Clearly NOT a gourmet or fine dining experience. Muted expectations. My 1st time ever in an IHOP property = underwhelmed. There were two 1 star ratings and one '4 and half', with the rest somewhere in between. I had bottomless black De caf coffee, rated at 3, twas almost hot, fairly fresh, there was no dairy free options...drank it black. DINING ROOM was comfortable and clean, 'colouring in paper and crayons', and the kids were well pleased with their sugary meals and 'play time'. Adult opinions were mixed, the feller who ordered the steak meal was SCATHING in his judgement of the quality, bad meat & soggy hash brown potato etc..... grandma on the other hand gave a thumbs up to the pancake, egg, bacon meal. NO ONE enjoyed the various flavours of 'syrup ' IHOP style. Forget about Real Canadian maple syrup here...it's not that kind of place innit..... Friendly servers, the coffee was refilled efficiently, food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We enjoyed a family 'visit', so a qualified thumbs up, might return was the consensus based on the 'value' pervceived. Parking is free n easy in a large strip mall setting. read more

My girlfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. We had to wait over an hour for our food and it wasn't even that busy. Not only that, but the food was less than stellar. What could had been made at home in 10 mins and for a much cheaper cost seemed much more appealing to us. IHOP, you really need to get things in order. I'm not one to be left an unsatisfied customer, but this experience was very unpleasant. Bless the young waitress's heart for attempting to accommodate to us but, gosh, this was bad. In my memory, IHOP has been opened since forever and honestly the only time I come here is for National Pancakes day for free pancakes and a good cause xD. Often we don't just go for the pancakes and order other items off the menu, which is what we did again this year. Let's start with the pancakes though. This year was a free short stack ($6.69). Mines were very fluffy and moist, I loved smothering them with the four different syrups offered (original, blueberry, strawberry... And I forgot the last one xD). Perhaps the batter wasn't mixed very well, but my parents had pancakes that were full of baking powder and not very pleasing to the taste buds. Grandma loves French fries so we got her a Senior's Fish and Chips ($8.99), it comes with one piece of fish, quite generous portion-wise for the price. Fish was crispy and not overly oily, a bit heavy on the batter, but the fish was moist and flakey. Nicely seasoned. The fries were thick-cut and crispy :) The Senior's Tilapia Florentine ($9.99) was ordered for OldBean because he loves fish. This was surprisingly decent. The fish fell apart a little but went well with the sauce. Lots of spinach to keep up regular ;) I enjoyed the mashed potatoes but felt the gravy was a little underseasoned bland. Elephant got their Big Steak Omelette ($14.49) and this was quite big. It was topped with extra steak bites on top. I the meat was a bit dry and tough. Elephant didn't use his salsa so it kind of felt detached from the dish a little. I had a craving for eggs Benny, so naturally, I got the Eggs Benedict ($11.99). The hollandaise sauce was light and my egg yolks were a nice thick runny texture. Not a fan of their hash though, it was rather dry--much prefer chunks of potato. I may say it's a mediocre place. Staff are usually nice. My last experience here is probably going to be the last one. I ordered crispy bacon and crispy hash browns but they were not crispy at al and the hash brown was very greasy. I also ordered 2 slices of crispy turkey bacon and the server forgot it. I asked for it few times and it came after I finish eating but they still charged me for that and guess what... it wasn't crispy either. It's just so frustrating... I have been coming here to see RJ for the last 13 years . It was my first time since the start of the pandemic and I was very impressed. OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. If there was a zero rating in stars, this would be it. I've worked in a restaurant for at least 2 years before and I KNOW what busy is. I am aware of the preparation time frame. We were seated 5-10 minutes till 1pm. The food did not arrive till at least 1:30-1:35. I've been to plenty of other IHOPS before and NEVER have I had to wait over 35 minutes for breakfast food. Standard waffle is about 4-4&1/2 minutes, I like mine crisp, so another minute will do. We thought it would be smart to sit at the bar and cut out the waiting time. Took quite a while for our server to even notice us there and the manager already did her a favor and helped her get us drinks. This kitchen lacks communication. BIG TIME. I can hear my waffle timer go off, the darn scrambled eggs haven't even been started!! There was SO much food sitting at the window. No one takes charge to expedite or anything! None of the cooks are even talking to each other, its like a one man show and SO off beat. This would have been the first time EVER, that I would have gotten up, and left. Service was slow, some were busy arguing about who was stealing who's tables, there was a lot more joking around rather than motivation on the kitchen. Just as I was about to get up and walk out, I finally see the plate in her hands and geared towards us. I felt the plate, scorching hot to the touch (for most people who may have not worked in a restaurant or burned their hands quite a bit before). That, is a clear indication that the darn thing was sitting there under the heat lamp for a while. Needless to say it was a crappy morning for $35. Save yourself the $35, take it to Costco and you could even make a better pre-packaged breakfast than they can dish up. read more

We checked out the menu and decided we wanted to order our usual along side our coffee but wanted to add a fun twist! My husband and I decided we wanted to share a kids grilled cheese sandwich to start! The waitress told us we can't order this because we are not 12 or younger. Okay fine, we said not wanting to argue with her so my husband asked to order the "adult" size. She told us that adults can't have grilled cheese sandwiches! I was totally outraged and decided to step in, and ask why grow ups are forbidden to have grilled cheese and she cut me off and said sorry we don't serve grilled cheese and can't change what's on our menu! Well they have ham melts for grown ups, take off the damn ham! I didn't feel like wasting my breath and had asked for our two coffee bills, and we decided to go to dedutch across the street! I'm Writing this review not because I'm mad but I'm shocked at how stupid it is for a business to lose customers that would have spent $50 bucks of more based on their age! I haven't been to an IHOP in years, but I should have expected it to be busy. Got there close to 12:45pm and we still had to wait about 20 mins before being seated. Ordered the breakfast sampler, no ham with extra bacon. When the food came, we had the extra bacon but instead of sausages we had ham. Luckily, they were able to easily switch the ham for the sausage. Bacon was cooked more than I would have liked, but from the taste, it was cooked then left sitting to be kept warm. Could have used a bit more eggs and hashbrown on my plate. Pancakes were soft and fluffy. Never got a refill on my water. Could have used a bigger glass instead of the small one they gave us. It was busy, but the eggs were overcooked, the ham on the eggs benny was full of gristle and the washroom was obscene. The manager was very obvious in wanting to turn over his seating quickly, as we heard him tell our server to give us the cheque and hurry us up.
