They discontinued gluten free pancakes. Two of my family members couldn't eat so we had to go elsewhere. For years we had been coming there for those pancakes. One of the few places they could be served food like everyone else. Now they can't find pancakes they can eat. Really annoying when they dont treat people with allergens as humans who deserve to eat. read more

My family loves the big menu, the new chicken and waffles is quickly becoming a favorite. The service is always prompt and quality. The setting is a typical dinner but is also clean. It had been a little over a year since I had been to IHOP, and I wish I'd never gone there last night. Two of us went in and waited to be acknowledged and seated. Unfortunately, even the person I later learned was the manager, had his back to us, and didn't even acknowledge that we were there waiting. They weren't even busy when we got there, just a handful of cars in the lot. We were finally seated at a sticky table and left with menus. We decided to just get beverages and no food. While waiting for our waitress, we looked around the restaurant and noticed that there was garbage on some of the tables and all over the floor and under tables. I've worked in restaurants previously and know from experience that it gets busy at times. If I were the manager, I would have been ashamed to admit it. I have no desire to EVER step one foot inside their doors again. This was only my 3rd time going there since they opened. Sorry IHOP, 3 strikes, and you're out. Never again. Side note: Our waitress couldn't even get our drink orders right. One was a soda, no ice (but came with ice), and a sweet tea that was refilled with regular tea. Yeah went here Sunday AM since I haven't had pancakes in over a year. Ordered Pancakes, over easy eggs, hash browns, two of those big sausages and two extra sausages that were smaller. Place was packed since it was Sunday so I figured the food would be nice and hot and fresh, NOPE. I ordered on the app to go FYI. I drove about 10 minutes away to eat. The small sausages were ice cold, like they had been sitting there for 15 minutes before the rest of the food was done. The eggs were not even close to cooked completely, extremely runny. The hash brown was also not even warm. I ended up microwaving everything so it was alright but yeah, plan backfired. Next time I'll go when it's slow and hope the food is prepared better. Seeing as how they were busy, I guess the food just wasn't cooked properly. I still love pancakes though! read more

Took 30 minutes to get our coffee. Waiter said he didn't know he was our waiter. Bacon so rare it could have walked off the plate. Another waiter confronted us and insisted that we door slammed his car which was parked in the front row in front of the window so he could watch it while he works so nobody dinged it. cooks are amazing. the food was good. waitress took the order wrong, which I could live with because it got corrected. paid our bill on the app, you know since the receipt says you can. My wife goes up to get a box since she didn't finish her food, and the waitress asks if she is ready to pay the check. My wife says I already did and needed a box. The waitress gives us a box and follows my wife to the table. She starts to ask about the check and just stops, says oh yeah as if she just remembered we already paid and walks away. We get up and the waitress follows us to the door, we go out and walks away. We get in my truck, which is the only one like it in town, and her and another girl come running out yelling. They are yelling we have to come pay our bill! I roll the window down to hear what they are saying and politely tell the other girl we paid on the app as we have already told our waitress. They just walked back inside, no sorry, no nothing. I look at the big window to see at least 10 people who were eating all staring outside to see what they are yelling about. If you want fair service and eat in a filthy restrant then IHOP in Sioux City is the place for you. No one there takes pride in any thing they do. The manager needs to be kicked out the front door.The floors, and under the counter is so dirty I can't imagine how bad the kitchen or bathrooms must be. So I got what I what I expected here. Good breakfast and diner food here. We got country fried steaks and the chicken quesadillas and both were tasty. I feel like the french toast hot chocolate is totally worth the extra 30 cents. They just add syrup but it somehow makes it a world's more tasty. Service was decent. I could get nitpicky about how we didn't get our cutlery and napkins until I had to ask our server for them after our meal came out etc., but none of that will stop me from coming back. Well I came here with my girlfriend and my sister. I used to see the lady that served us all the time and talk to her so you would think she would at least be almost polite with us. She got to us quickly and ordered our drinks but after that everything was pretty crappy. She got mad because my girlfriend asked for a crepe without the fruit and she about had a melt down saying that it you can't do that and that's not a crepe at all. And took the other two orders with an attitude and scoffing everytime someone asked a question. After our cold food came out about an hour later she got upset when asked for hot sauce and the toast I had ordered and said she didn't want to begin it out until I got my eggs even though I've already had all my food.. just didn't make sense. What are you waiting for when I'm half way done with my food? But my sisters food had shards of metal cooked throughout and the lady proceeded to stick all of her fingers in her eggs and pick the pieces out and say sorry and that it was just from the spatula or the sponge they used. She didn't offer to give her another plate or anything just put her hand in her food and walk away. So by that time we're all angry and not satisfied to say the least. So she comes back. Tells my sister to scoot over in the booth, sits down. Puts her arm around my sister and holds my girlfriends hand. And says that she really wants to apologize for how she reacted earlier. And that she wanted to offer us free drinks. Still not to replace the food or just take it off the bill since she couldn't eat it after that. So after she leaves and comes back a while later she gets mad that she didn't remember my drink and that I wanted a refill, she has the worst attitude that I've ever experienced from a waiter/waitress. How could you expect someone to come back after that? Or tip? Or even want to pay. Neither me or my family or friends will be returning to this terrible location. And the time before this I waited about 25 minutes to be seated when there was only about 2 other people sitting by themselves eating. There were 3 employees sitting in a booth on their phones and gofing around and they kept looking at us and giving us dirty looks and I asked them if we could be seated sometime since they were just looking at us and they turned away. So I called the place and of course they had the phone at the table they were at and one answered "YES!?" And I asked if they were closing or why she wouldn't come seat us and she hung up without saying anything and sent a cook over to seat us. my friends and I went there as a usual thing we do when we're together. we decided to all get the "appetizer samplers". the food didn't take to long to come out but when it did. the onion rings were burnt on the inside looking like the inside of a fly. the cheese sticks hardly had any cheese in them and had big holes in them looking like they were already eaten out of. the only half good thing was the chicken strips. except just one of my friends wasn't even cooked. and what made it worse is that we were treated badly by our waitress for being "teenagers". we thought she expected that we aren't gonna leave a tip. even though all of the service was terrible we left a tip like we should. but I would not recommend it. read more
