This morning I decided to order carryout. I had seen the sign outside the restaurant that said they now had online ordering. This is my son's "favorite place" (he just orders plain pancakes and loves them wherever they come from) and last time we ordered from here we waited 45 minutes for our food. I tried to order online and several of the items on the online menu wouldn't let you select them so I had to piece together what everyone wanted from different things. When I finally entered my credit card info, I got a message that my order could not be completed online and to call. So I was here a few months a go and I ordered an omelet and blueberry pancakes. The wait was an ANIMOSITY.,It took 35 minutes to get my food...it was not worth it. An omelet is supposed to be light and fluffy( in my opinion). There was a monster load of excessive grease on it and it did not taste as it should be.The blueberry pancakes were heavy and wasn't like a fluffy pancake.THE worst thing that the server had sweat DRIPPING from his head into the food. read more

We had a terrible experience here. My side of fruit was very small, half rotten and incredibly overpriced. I was served a raw English muffin-literally not even warmed. After mentioning this to a manger it came back out after obviously being grilled on them flat top. Very strange. read more

Wow. Just wow. When we got here there was only one other couple in the restaurant, and it still took forever to get our food. When it arrived, my husband's French toast had powder sugar on it when he asked for none. My pancakes were burnt, my bacon was way undercooked when I ordered it crispy, my hashbrowns were mushy and not fully cooked, and my eggs had some dark brown, circular, unidentifiable objects in them. Didn't eat anything and paid 20 bucks. Won't be back. read more

Went yesterday , no one was there, we thought they were closed. After entering we experienced polite service and really good coffee. The cook even hand delivered our food. Several people arrived as we ate, but our service was not sacraficed. read more

Was always curious about visiting IHOP, but I don't think I will have any reason to choose it over Waffle House in the future. I ordered the unlimited pancakes and they weren't horrible, but nothing special at all. They took a good 30 minutes to come out. Went to eat on a Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Was only two other groups in the entire restaurant. This should have been a warning. The hostess seated us after making sure the booth was clean. She seated us but the table was not entirely clean. The hostess did offer to take our drink order. She returned with my wife's tea and told me she was brewing a fresh pot of coffee.(This is a great thing) My wife then asked her if they still had a certain food item and she replied, "I don't know, I'm just the hostess." After waiting another five minutes a server came to take our order. We asked her about the menu item and she said it had been discontinued "about 2 months ago." When she brought my coffee, she slammed the empty cup and carafe on the table and walked away. (Most servers will pour the first cup.) Our food arrived about 15 minutes later, (way to long for no busier than they were) and did not taste like we had hoped. My wife left half of her food and when the server came back to check on us, she did ask how everything tasted but then she walked away before we could answer. The server did not even offer my wife a refill on her drink. We have been to IHOP's in other cities and were looking forward to this one opening in Springfield but we do not plan to return. A little while later two ladies came in with two totally out of control children. The children were jumping up and down on the seats and screaming out loud. Yes; the parents are responsible but I would think if that didn't happen, the manager should address the issue. read more

The only good thing about my experience here was leaving. It had to be the worst meal and service I have ever had in my life. I don't think there's enough space here to describe the whole ordeal. And that's what it was, an ordeal. The following day I filled out an online survey. I received an email response within 24 hours telling me they would be in touch with me within 3 to 5 business days or sooner. A month later to the day I sent a response email asking them how many times 3 to 5 days would have to repeat before I received an answer. The following day when I returned home, there was a voicemail from someone promising to call me back. That's almost 3 weeks ago. Perhaps the response from corporate is an indication of why this restaurant is so horribly awful in every respect. This took place during the lunch rush. There were all of three cars in the parking lot including mine. No one else came in during the excruciating time I was there. My friend and I were the last to leave. I think all of that in itself is very telling. I would give this less than one star if it were possible. read more

on our last visit which was our last visit ever my wife finds a long black hair in her eggs unfortunately she had already eaten half of them before it was found, we tell the waitress who tells us its the second time today we ask for the manager the waitress tell us she a little afraid to tell him, sounds like the food isn't the only problem, when he arrives he ask the problem than ask what we would like him to do with a smug you don't deserve anything attitude but he removes her breakfast from our check and leaves no I'm sorry or anything guess where lucky he didn't charge us for the HAIR!! read more

I was not given back my receipt, Just the receipt from paying with my credit card. That was not the problem. Now i know that this restaurant just opened up but serioulsy #1 our food was Cold! I ordered a Bacon temptation omelet with toast and i get my omelet and theres no bacon on and didnt receive my toast! My waitress took back my omelet and brought it back 5mins later with bacon on top, however still no toast. My husband didnt receive his turkey bacon and when we asked where it was it took them a good 10 mins to bring it back to our table. Now here is the worse part! My sons food! At first they brought him the wrong pancakes So we told them they were wrong so them took them back to make the right ones well my son waits and waits and waits The rest of my family have already ate all our food and my son still does not have his pancakes! He waited for 35 mins and then when the finally bring them to him they are not done!! He cuts into them and there is still batter!!! So we start looking for our waitress for about5 mins and we ask her to take them back and make him some new ones. We got these back in about 5 minutes. BUt our overall experience here was Terrible!!! We were so excited about an Ihop coming to Springfield but now i dont know if we will be going back. read more
