I was happy to experience the same great quality food and service I've come to expect from Cody's. My server, Meghan, was wonderful from the moment I walked in. I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and such a friendly, welcoming attitude. She was attentive throughout the entire meal without ever being overbearing and made sure everything was perfect. She checked on me often, kept drinks refilled, and made me feel genuinely appreciated as customer. You can tell she really cares about giving great service. She also told me about the appetizer special -- the stuffed mushrooms -- and I'm so glad she did because they were absolutely delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly. That may sound simple, but it's surprising how often restaurants miss the mark. Cody's always seems to get it right. While you wait, there is a large gift shop to peruse with decent pricing from local artists. Weather permitting, ask for seating outside. But if they are really full, the indoor seating is almost as nice (plus it has air-conditioning). Weekend specials on certain beverages, so early birds always save more money. We had the fish tacos, shrimp, tacos, watermelon Mojito, and steak sub. The fish tacos were divine and my daughter loved the shrimp tacos as well. Breakfast platters are healthy portions and also didn't disappoint. If you get there early, they have weekend mimosa and Bloody Mary specials (BOGO). Our favorite person was an elderly woman that cleans up the dishes. So incredibly sweet, kind and personable. We see now that there are new owners, and it is now actually called The Siren's Spoon! and the pictures will say everything. Their water bagels are fresh and crispy and absolutely delicious. It's nothing fancy, but oh boy, let me tell you what- Chrissy is the best server I've seen in a long time for a Mom and Pop Place! I have a feeling this little gem is going to expanding and do very very well . Give it a try y'all. They have done some work inside the restaurant with some very cute aquatic themed silk prints and they have "Siren TV" which shows some cute mermaids holding different specials offered every day. I'll start this by saying I'm writing this review in my bathroom. My server was condescending and…read moreinattentive. The food, oh the food, while it tasted good, it does not have the same joy inducing emotions it did going in as it does going out. We ran out of drinks and when we tried to ask for a refill our server just skipped our table completely. Too busy taking care of the table that ordered more than soup and salad as well as had more people than our table did. Even the manager walked past us without saying "hello". When our server did finally fill our drinks, it was right before we were leaving, which is almost redundant. I paid $50 for 2 bowls of soup, 2 salads, 2 glasses of Coke, and a $10 to go order. $50 for the opportunity to have diarrhea, 20 minutes after | left. I just made it home. I quite literally ran up the stairs chanting "30 more seconds, booty don't fail me now, just 30 more seconds". As a side note, l always, and I mean always, tip 30% of the bill but this time, I left nothing. I wont be back. Unless I'm constipated and feel like wasting $50. Best of luck to you all that go.
