Breakfast at Perkins was perfect, especially because we brought home a delicious caramel apple pie for the Thanksgiving holiday. My husband ordered the combination breakfast so that I could get his pancakes (yum), and I ordered an omelette so that he could get my rye toast. Pick up the phone 50% of the time . Ordered curbside . Called four times they picked the phone up twice to tell me it was coming out when it was ready. Waited another 12 minutes . When order did come out it was wrong . I paid extra for lettuce and they forgot that and then messed up the fries . Entire order was so sloppily put together like someone did it while they were blindfolded . I've visited quite a few times while in the area and I am not really too impressed. Service is average and the food is as well. I usually order the Belgium waffle platter with eggs and bacon. Finally after having our dirty dishes sit there and her walking by. We went to pay. No staff was around ......properly could have left without paying. It has been years, years, and years since I have been to Perkins. I came with three other people, and our server was Candie, and she was absolutely excellent! She said she has only been there for a short time, but you would never know it. Everyone at my table ordered something different: I ordered a salad, another person ordered breakfast, another person ordered a sandwich, and another person ordered a steak. Everybody gobbled every single thing down, everything was delicious! The last time I was at Perkins I didn't have a very good experience, so, now because of this experience I will definitely come back! Very happy with our server! It really makes all the difference, along with the taste of the food. I also love the fact that they have a huge variety of sodas to choose from. First of all, one out of every three tables is wobbly and have a folded napkin underneath one of the legs to keep it stable. 2 very slim pancakes with one egg and 2 small slices of bacon ran me 9.99 and coffee was 3.99. Save your money and go to Denny's ! Service was terrible! I had to wait over 20 minutes to get my food. This is the second such experience I've had with them. To start off, not the best waitress. Husband ordered tilapia and shrimp dish, which tasted like microwaved frozen dinners($11). I ordered a breakfast plate. Should just stick to iHop. Pancakes were on the salty side. The apricot syrup tasted like it's been going bad. Maple and twinberry syrup left a weird taste in the mouth. Husband got the chocolate chip cookie sundae, which he said the cookie tasted like chips ahoy. I got the peanut butter pie, which only allowed me to take 3 bites. I rinsed my mouth out with water and decided to end it with the cherry from the sundae and spat that stale, slightly sour cherry right out. Definitely a first and last time. read more

On thanksgiving I put in an order, which of course they were extremely busy, but despite all the chaos going on, everyone still gave excellent service and worked so very hard to make sure everyone was satisfied. Yes, yes - visiting home and bored enough to review the favorite hang out of all those 80+ in Spring Hill on a Friday night. This Perkins would be so much better if I wasn't in constant fear that someone in the room will keel over and die at any minute. As far as food and service goes, they're both just fine. Very typical chain-restaurant fare. But there are 2 good things about Perkins that keeps my family and I coming back to brave the elderly crowds time after time: 1 - It's just about the only place you can be seated without a wait in the area on a Friday night between 6 and 8. This town is hopping and my family is impatient. But there is always lots of room at Perkins on a Friday night (the same is not true, however, for Sunday mornings)! 2 - Four words: Breakfast. Served. The last time I was here was after Irma and thankful to have somewhere that had power, eat and get some work done. Went there today for breakfast because most of the mom and pop businesses were closed. Biggest mistake. Our order went in at 10:51am and we didn't receive it until 11:53 am. I'm not kidding. The poor waitresses having to continually apologize. Everyone around us was in the same predicament. We tried our best with jokes and smiling because we want to stay 2021 off without harshness. As I was paying I asked if there was a new chef and they said "no, just a lot of to go orders". The place wasn't at full capacity so it's completely beyond me why it took so long. I didn't push for a discount (by the way the bacon came out barely cooked, over medium eggs were hard/almost fried, my potatoes were cold and the cheese on my omelette wasn't even melted. $30 breakfast that wasn't that great after having to wait an hour. We tipped the waitress well as this was no fault of hers. We won't be back. read more
